Lightly snowing again in Dartford Confused

GoldInTheAirOfSummer · 28/02/2018 15:01

Bloody South Manchester. Yet again we are getting a dusting. I wanted piles!

Met Office seems to suggest that we have had all we're getting. OYBK and Gloria do you concur?

OBYKK - trying to decide if to pick DC up from their weekly boarding school non of the day pupils made it in but could you give any sort of idea of the area around woodbridge/framlingham in suffolk for Thurs/Fri.
Its clearly not that safe to go out today - much to their disgust but don't want them stranded for the weekend - we have to travel from Mid-essex to get them....

Trottersindependenttraders · 28/02/2018 15:05

I bloody luffs this thread!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/02/2018 15:06

Not so much for Merseyside I think now. Maybe some showers today.

Swansea - Some snow tomorrow, I think that you might be on the edge of the worst of it though. I'm not really sure.

Im a wee bit north of Dundee on the coast, and we seem to have escaped most of the snow! Any idea if we will get any more?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/02/2018 15:08

It should settle down in Suffolk and I don't think you'll see too much tomorrow or Friday.

I'm getting a bit behind with my work. I'd best get my head down and do some, so I do apologise if I don't get to your questions.

Snow started again in Edinburgh at 3pm right in time for the red warning. So glad they shut the schools, would have been carnage. Walked home a couple of miles from town and the main roads were no longer black and I was faster than the traffic ( although an early rush hour as lots of people have been sent home )

Ollivander84 · 28/02/2018 15:15

Holy shit. Massive blizzard here. I work near the marina and we can't see across it, it's coming down so heavy and the sky is grey

BertrandRussell · 28/02/2018 15:17

Edinburgh Universiry's closed.

Ollivander84 · 28/02/2018 15:21

Photo doesn't show how heavy it is coming down!

Dear God, is there anyone else in the north east who just nearly had a heart attack at that thunder clap? I thought my roof was caving in. Ds was walking home from school in the midst of the blizzard and all the snow lit up with the lightning. Scary stuff but it's as calm as anything now!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 28/02/2018 15:38

Stay safe perihelion! Red warning is very serious indeed.

Big big thanks to Gloria and OYBBK again for keeping us up to date and some of us literally out of danger Star

thekingfisher · 28/02/2018 15:38

Thanks OBYKK

thekingfisher · 28/02/2018 15:39

OYBKK

thekingfisher · 28/02/2018 15:39

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/02/2018 15:42

Any idea for Leicestershire OYBBK or GloriaSmud? Very disappointed children in our house as it seems to be skipping us!

PickAChew · 28/02/2018 15:48

We've had thundersnow two mornings in a row, Scarlett. Complete white out with it, this morning.

Had a bit of a reprieve, this afternoon, so wrapped up and took ds1 out for a poketrudge. 6-8" deep, where it's undisturbed. Needed my walking pole, if only to work out where the kerbs were.

Perihelion · 28/02/2018 15:49

OYBBK have you got snow???

Fox all good. Work has shut, going nowhere except on foot, schools shut tomorrow, have an awesome winter coat and wellies designed for -30C temps and a child and dog who love snow as much as meGrinGrinGrin
And I bought the last yum yums in the shop.

Would it be greedy to want some thunder snow as well?

dementedma · 28/02/2018 15:55

calmed down here in fife but sky very grey and heavy - more to come i think. Just been round to mum's with hot soup and cake, path to her house too deep for her to manage. photo attached (hopefully) also pic from our kitchen window.......ok, won't let me attach photos for some reason

dementedma · 28/02/2018 15:57
