we've lost our amber warning, it seems to have migrated north.

Just got very dark here and my patio is now covered in snow. It wasn't doing anything 10 minutes ago when I was out for a fag......

Frazzled2207 · 26/02/2018 16:52

I'm in south Stockport, greater Manchester. Has flurried on and off all afternoon but nothing either coming down or on the ground right now. We almost never get anything though despite being right next to the peaks. In the 7 years I've lived here we've had two days when there was enough to build a snowman.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 26/02/2018 17:31

Nice and cloudy in East Kent with the odd flurry. Not expecting much as we are made of teflon but who knows, there is snope (snow hope)

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 26/02/2018 17:33

Friday seems to be forecast snow again, no rain. Do they think the low won't win over the cold?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2018 17:58

hey all :) thought those meetings would never end!!!

I think a lot have moved over to the new thread as this one was getting a bit clunky on some devices.

I've got a short time til I'm busy again, so I'll do a quick catch up.

hmmm, GFS is now really out of kilter with the met office for Friday. Still delays the low then a huge area of freezing rain through the early hours of Friday.

ok, I'm going to move over to the new thread now, hang on I'll find the link again.

So much conflicting info out there in media. I only trust you! Should I be worried here in Cornwall?

FuzzyCustard · 27/02/2018 15:44

I'm in Cornwall too andbaby. (North coast) Still blue skies and sunshine, but it looks as though Thursday might be Armageddon Day. May see if the supermarket has any sledges in.

Fortunately the kind of clothing suitable for Cornish winters is fine for snow too - waterproof and fleecy is the order of the day!

FuzzyCustard · 27/02/2018 17:12

Oooh three (approximately) flakes of snow and then it stopped!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/02/2018 19:58

did you both find the new thread?

OP posts:
FuzzyCustard · 28/02/2018 16:32

No. I just thought no-one loved me!!

speakout · 28/02/2018 16:45

Too much snow now!!

I am in the red zone- has been blizzards for most of the day. Most roads closed.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 01/03/2018 11:39

We've got a bit of snow. DCs have to travel by train to school and then walk. It's Dd's 16th bday tomorrow and I'd like the snow to either f off or have loads so she can stay at home. Either way I'd like for her not to fall over in the black ice like she did twice this morning.
