Just in case we need this early next week

It's really warm in South Warks today (garden thermometer said 10°c at 9am), quite windy too. It's just started raining but if it's stopped by the pm school run I'll pop the baby in his carrier I think. He prefers to be close to me when it's windy.

Really windy and warm weekend in Edinburgh. Temp has dropped to 6C now and forecast for sleet for this week.
I'd like some more snow, but possibly not next week as DD has a school outdoor residential, although if they got snowed in while away.............(just not on a motorway )

Please NO more snow. It's actually quite nice today in Glasgow for a change.

Snow and ice warning for tomorrow. It kind of matches up with this precipitation-type Netweather chart for 6am tomorrow.

It's slightly hard to keep up my enthusiasm for snow forecasts when I'm living in an area that has been a snow desert this winter.

Poor kitten! We have heavy snow forecast and yellow warning tomorrow. But we are right on the edge of that map. Seem to be missing the snow a lot this year!

Or maybe not. Currently pissing down and windy again. Seem to have had days of wind, with more to come. Outside of snow warning zone, but have some forecast.

I think Scotland's getting snow this year as all the ski centres bought or leased snow making machines after a couple of nae snow years.

That's funny Perihelion I predicted that would happen 30cm predicted last night for glencoe and nevis range!

Clear and frosty when I walked the dogs this morning and a lovely moon. But I'm sure there were a few flakes!

'Tis disappointing for those that haven't had snow. I think it's at that point in the winter now where either it should give a final snow-filled blast for the whole country or the weather should stop mucking about and some Spring warmth can come along now, so that I can get to the allotment and start digging that over. Either way would be good!

Any thoughts on next week OYBBK & Gloria? The very reliable source that is iPhone weather says snow for us in north Cheshire on Tuesday... 🤞

The GFS is showing something of a cold nature for next week Wintery. I'm waiting a few days, perhaps until the weekend to see what the charts think before letting any excitement take over though! TheWeatherOutlook has some thoughts on a possible cold snap here.

Bizarre weather here in N Oxon. Met Office app says it should be partly sunny with a

ice warnings including much of England including the south overnight into tomorrow morning.

Mix of rain sleet and snow all freezing in one hideous mix. I'd expect some potential travel issues tomorrow.

Weather channels say it's meant to be heavy rain. Looking out the window at the hailstone and snow. Someone's got it wrong. Dam cold too with a cutting wind

We had several types of wintry precipitation all rolled into one this afternoon, with sleet, rain and then graupel to finish off. Noticeable drop in temperatures as well ~ 2C in just a few minutes.

I thought I saw something on the news this evening about the possibility of widespread snow at the weekend. Is that at all likely, or am I even more muddled than usual?

No snow here, no rain, no wind. But it's SO cold !!! Definite drop in temperature. Beautiful moon tho

Cold coming from the West and from the East and we (the UK) still manage to get a tiny slither of warm air!

Rain an hail most of yesterday evening, but it started to snow heavily at 10.

We woke at 4 and there was a decent covering but its mostly gone now

Netweather says a cold snap next week, with snow maybe down here in hove on Tuesday! Fingers crossed!

Squirm ~ there is a weather front moving in and it could mean snow for some. I think it's dependent on how quickly it moves through ~ fairly quick and it stays mostly as rain. If it's slow, then it could be snow.

My super duper weather app has a snowflake for Tuesday Thursday and Friday next week in west Cheshire. I could very much do without a rerun of early December!
