Tiny wee snow flakes here in Fife. Sky looks heavy though. ❄❄❄❄

Shpongle9 · 26/02/2018 09:07

Could anyone please tell me that all the snow will be done, dusted and gone by Thursday/Friday.
We are moving from Feltham to Plymouth on Thursday/Friday. Please tell me it will be okay.

MargoChanning · 26/02/2018 09:09

It's snowing heavily here in central London.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 26/02/2018 09:13

That's exciting Margo, London hardly ever gets snow!

Showers on and off in East Kent, whatever comes down lays. we are only due light showers from 9 tonight so this is a bonus.

I have the day off today too so just cooking and snow watching, happy days. Smile

MargoChanning · 26/02/2018 09:14

Oops. Its now gone lighter.

lamettarules · 26/02/2018 09:16

I'm so fed up with looking at met office and seeing it change all the time ...not a crticism I realise just a reflection of complexity of situation .

Reconciled to not knowing whether my flight from Luton to Belfast and return on Friday will be affected .

Giving up ,will just plan to set out on Tuesday ready to accept whatever happens .

MachineBee · 26/02/2018 09:17

A few flakes came down at 7.45. Nothing since. I’m in the northern part of E Sussex here.

IsletsOfLangerhans · 26/02/2018 09:18

We are west of Hull - looking out my window and the Humber Bridge has disappeared. That’s my yardstick for impending snow showers!

Gilead · 26/02/2018 09:22

Snowing again on the Norfolk/Suffolk border but nothing settling as yet.

GloriaSmud · 26/02/2018 09:26

Shpongle ~ Thursday morning ~ looks OK for the Plymouth area. Afternoon and overnight there could be (heavy at times) snow, Friday ~ looks wet.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2018 09:26

Looks like the met office website has keeled over under the strain of today's excitement.

Remember that today's warnings don't start until 2pm, this is just a little teaser.

shpongle, keep an eye on the forecast. At the moment it looks like it may be a bit challenging for you.

I'm still not sure about Friday. Gloria is right though, thursday morning looks to be the sweet spot for getting a dry run.

@MargoChanning, is it settling in London?
I think this will it snow / won’t it snow is making me think I need to address my anxiety. I’m really worried I won’t be able to get home from London later. I’m nearly 40, I should be taking it in my stride.

TopBitchoftheWitches · 26/02/2018 09:30

cerro

Halstead ! So just outside Colchester as well.
I drove my kids to school which is in Coggeshall and then some heavy snow on the way back to Halstead.
Nothing now though ⛄️

SnowiestMountain · 26/02/2018 09:30

We even had a little bit of snow in Cheshire on the School run this morning! Settled immediately but small very dry flakes, only about 15 minutes worth but enough to cause excitement!

Arseface · 26/02/2018 09:31

I’m in SW London and it’s settling here.

Garden in blanketed white but busier roads remaining clear.
TfL have warned people to try and take public transport before 6pm as they think delays are more likely after sunset when things freeze up a bit more.

Shpongle9 · 26/02/2018 09:33

Thank you. I will keep checking. House is ready to move in to Thursday and depending on dh work we might have to go Friday. Will push him to make us go Thursday morning.

BBQsAreSooooOverrated · 26/02/2018 09:34

Have a sprinkling here and coming down heavily at the moment (E.Norfolk). Im hoping it doesn't get heavier as school is 45m-1hr walk and I've never driven in snow as I'm a fairly new wussy driver.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2018 09:35

Trotters are you travelling by train?

WordWeasel · 26/02/2018 09:35

Oxfordshire reporting in. I SAW A SNOWFLAKE! Just one. Where's my blizzard??? Honestly, I despair. I pay all my taxes and all we get here is one measly snowflake. It wasn't even very big.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/02/2018 09:36

shpongle that sounds completely sensible.

OYBBK, yes. Good old virgin west coast from Euston.

summersgoneaway · 26/02/2018 09:45

Heavy here south east settling -3

itsazoohere · 26/02/2018 09:49

Oooh, where ish in the South East if you don't mind me asking?

RatOnnaStick · 26/02/2018 09:49

Veering between blue skies and light flurries on top of the Romney Marsh over the last hour or so. Nothing laying. The children got excited at school, it's on top of a hill so they always seem to get a bit more up there.

I've been out to my wood store to get supplies in for later. I foresee an early fire today. The Tesco lady said it's been a bit bad around Aylesford where the depot is. Glad I got my order in early today [snow] [snowball].
