How strange. The Aurora Service site for the European cameras is bust and giving a message about a forbidden server, but their Australian page (which has a lot of the European cameras embedded) works OK. Very odd.

I think it happened before, RomCom, think it was about March 17th when we had a really good Aurora session but everything got a bit overloaded with the aurora service. Everything 's a bit quiet at the moment but Spaceweather's saying there might be a chance of seeing aurora tonight when the earth moves into a stream of fast moving solar wind.

Cool. I'll keep an eye out this evening.

I keep checking in to see if there's anything on the webcams but apart from a few Aurora sightings, not much is happening. According to spaceweather, all seems quiet when it comes to solar activity at the moment as well.

I'm in the sticks with flaky wi-fi and patchy/non-existent mobile coverage. Normal monitoring will resume when I'm back home. In the meantime, I'm relying on you guys. (The last few days has strengthened my resolve to never retire to a cottage in the country. The fantasy ain't all that.)

'Tis all still a bit quiet aurora-wise but things could improve soon according to spaceweather, thanks to high speed solar wind and the earth doing another crossing of a "solar sector boundary."

Sodankyla looking understated but pretty this evening - maybe worth keeping an eye on this evening?

There's been a solar flare with a CME likely headed earth direction so eyes to the skies soon!

Hurrah! I've got the Lancaster Uni Aurora Alert app on my iPhone so I thought we might be in for a better evening.

Tromso is looking lovely at the moment!
Things might liven up a bit more in the coming days, as there's another CME coming our way.

And not forgetting Porjus, with the added bonus of lots of stars as well!

Could be some good aurora tonight as a CME has arrived. Tromso is doing its stuff already!
