Been checking the webcams too, RomCom. Had a look last night and there was a faint greenish glow on one of them but that was it. This season has been a bit subdued so far.

Still checking in ~ hints of green at Abisko this morning (and that's been the most I've seen when it comes to aurora the last couple of days!)

At last, some decent stuff going on at Tromso and Abisko! (Abisko is one from earlier on.)

It looks like there is hope when it comes to aurora-spotting ~ according to spaceweather, there is a growing sunspot and it's facing Earth. Fingers crossed for a bit of an explosion coming our way!

Major uk action tonight - definitely can be seen Lancs upwards, v good chance Wales, n Ireland etc, both Norfolk, Leicestershire (going by Facebook).

I'm sorry for being so crap of late - not been here for a while. Someone's just started a thread in chat saying that they saw the lights from a beach near Edinburgh, and other in Donegal.

I've been having frequent glances at the webcams over the last few weeks but there's not been a lot going on really.
Looking at Abisko overnight and even with the strong aurora forecast, there are occasional glimpses of colour but nothing mindblowing. I'd say that the UK had a pretty good show instead!

I hope these upload... It was utterly amazing! Just taken up the road from me. Bitterly cold but fabulous!

Visible to the eye as a just green arc, occasional spikeys of green

I got a red spike later on at the house, but that's much fainter and still on the dslr

Quality of these may not be the best, they are dslr to fb, to phone, to MN!
I am still a bit overexcited!

I'm herrrrrre!! Just taken a look at the Shetland webcams and got all excited!
Camera 1 (can't work out how to do screen shots of live webcams) has some lovely views going on at the moment. And Porjus is giving a nice little performance as well tonight.
