impromptu display that was coming and then not coming and then did...arrived about nineish I think.

been nipping up and down stairs since after masterchef.

camera only visible at about ten
nice big half arc...other half clouded out about half ten,
visible to naked eye by the time I had my coat, dslr and tripod and was heading to the car
five minute journey and managed three shots on the dslr and it faded to nothing and the clouds rolled right in.

I'll see if i can get the pics to upload from my phone.

Hello all, solar activity is picking up so hopefully some web cam action will be visible (obvs not too far north). I'm off to Norfolk next week hoping to catch some Noctilucent clouds if nothing else.

Hi Pseudo, hope you manage to see something from Norfolk. According to spaceweather, the sun is spotless again but there has been sighting of Southern Lights in New Zealand.

Bumping for the current active period!

Dammit I'm in such a grump right now! We were going to go to Iceland for our honeymoon this week but changed our mind and came to Budapest instead, now we're missing mega Northern lights displays back home in Norfolk and in Iceland too!! (I may be slightly grumpy because I'm having a crazily heavy period too, hmph).

Got an AuroraWatch alert from Lancaster University earlier on but despite that, not a lot showing on the webcams at the moment.

Nope Pseudo, probably nothing to be seen UK-wise tonight-Shetland is looking rather stormy. Still 'tis early days in 2016-2017 Aurorawatching season!

Lovely show this evening and still going on. Will attempt an upload from my phone!

Another alert has been issued tonight and some aurora can be seen in some places on the aurora service website. Other than that, not a lot to be seen!

let's see if this works...camera to laptop, to facebook, to instagram, to fb, to laptop to MN!
