Miranda we're slightly lower down than you but I saw on the met office app that the yellow warning went all the way to the top of England. I don't think we're meant to get it as bad though.

mumofone25 · 27/10/2013 11:02

West Sussex here about 25 miles from Brighton! it's very blowy had a few heavy showers but mostly sunny Now. Just waiting for the met office warnings update. Got to decide wether to make the journey into Brighton first thing in the morning for work.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/10/2013 11:03

Geckos nothing is meant to start happening in your area til about 4pm ish then gradually increasing from there through til about 9am. If this map I was looking at was correct anyway :)

JourneyThroughLife · 27/10/2013 11:07

Have been out for last minute supplies - as if I need any more. Sunny but the wind is already getting up here in Berkshire - trees are really swaying, it's a pretty stong wind, actually.....

lagoonhaze · 27/10/2013 11:08

getting a bit blowy in cornwall OH bringing washing in!

MrsCampbellBlack · 27/10/2013 11:09

Bit blowy north of Bath.

pepperrabbit · 27/10/2013 11:09

We're in a holiday cottage in West Lulworth, beautiful bright morning, not in the least cold, with lovely blue sky but blowing a gale! No idea if it's normally this windy but I went out to take some pics and properly staggered when a gust caught me.
DH says we're not allowed to walk down to the cove, we have to drive and sit in the car and watch the waves. Sometimes I worry I've married my dad....

Tobydogrocks · 27/10/2013 11:11

Its a bit gusty up here in East Yorkshire although I don't think the storm is forecast to come this high up

MurderOfBanshees · 27/10/2013 11:13

Wind is picking up in Herts, watching the lamppost opposite our flat wobble about.

lagoonhaze · 27/10/2013 11:14

Our matrix has changed to increased likelihood but no update as yet?

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 27/10/2013 11:15

Gusty winds in Cardiff and getting stronger. I'm expecting the tree in our back garden to lose branches so DS3 will be sleeping at the front of the house tonight.

DS1 says it's a beautiful day in Southampton but I've told him to get sortd with a torch and spare batteries etc.

Answerphone Sad

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 27/10/2013 11:15

And just come back from walk. Wood that's already dead has blown out of trees but I saw no live branches blown down.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 27/10/2013 11:18

OMG the heavens have opened. Absolutely lashing down.

Littleredsquirrel · 27/10/2013 11:19

Big old clouds gathering, well practically RACING overhead. Still veru windy.

SoullessButSunny · 27/10/2013 11:22

We're about 5 miles inland from Brighton.

It's sunny at the moment but we had rain earlier.

Looks calm outside now but we've had pretty strong gusts.

About an hour ago there was a delivery van outside and the door was fully open, a big gust of wind managed to shut it so must have been pretty strong.

ChubbyKitty · 27/10/2013 11:22

Where's this rain in East Midlands it's positively glowing here Shock

Lots of thick cloud so I imagine I'll soon see it!

crikeybill · 27/10/2013 11:23

Lovely here in sw london. Very sunny and just a bit windy.
I can't help thinking its just been a bit exaggerated ?
I mean really ?

TheGhostsAndGhoulsOfHitchhikin · 27/10/2013 11:25

Marking place. Rather windy here in lincs.

Littleredsquirrel · 27/10/2013 11:27

Raining in Notts chubby kitty but was sunny up until a few minutes ago. Hopefully just a shower.

ChubbyKitty · 27/10/2013 11:27

Don't they say animals can predict this sort of thing?

Cat is currently hiding under the stairs where she never does, crying at me when I move away.

And the wind has moved up the Chubby scale to a 7.

ChubbyKitty · 27/10/2013 11:29

Oh I'm only about half an hour away from notts how odd! I wonder if you go down that long road whose name I forget you would see where the rain starts? I've never seen thatSadBlush
