well, it looks like winter finally might be arriving!

First indications for snow are for this coming saturday as a low pressure draws in cold air . The met office arent really going for it at the moment, but the potential is certainly there. At the moment I'd say the biggest risk is for the midlands and central England.

After that there seems to be a cold few days but then the models start to disagree. GFS shows a positive snow fest for the 24th! masses of snow, but its a long way off and until we get much closer who knows what really will happen.

It's lying a little here now and still falling. My sil is not happy, she lives in the Peak District and it's going to be bad there.

It's here (West Yorkshire). Not settling but making the ground nice and wet so when it freezes later it'll be lethal in the morning.

Ooh ooh ooh according to Netweather its hardly going to snow in North Yorkshire at all tonight or tomorrow. Im going to go with that.

Sparkling, can I ask what weather is doing in your town please? As you know I work there and we have a wee bit of settled snow at our place 14 miles away. Just curious as to my commute tomorrow!

SNOW - South Somerset! We never get snow and arent suppose to get any at all now! Its quite light but where the weather has been cold but sunny it could settle!! Now, do I wake my 4 year who will be gutted if she misses it??!!

I thought it was moving south. You cant much souther then where I live!

Snow is cancelled for North Hampshire. Nothing forecast either .

Tis moving south east mama, looks like there may be sleet behind your snow so if its starting to stick I reckon waking your dd might be the way to go. Either that or don't tell her about it at all!

Hardly ever snows here in sunny Hampshire - it especially won't this year as I bought the kids a sledge just before Christmas!
