Snow watch!!!!

well, it looks like winter finally might be arriving!

First indications for snow are for this coming saturday as a low pressure draws in cold air . The met office arent really going for it at the moment, but the potential is certainly there. At the moment I'd say the biggest risk is for the midlands and central England.

After that there seems to be a cold few days but then the models start to disagree. GFS shows a positive snow fest for the 24th! masses of snow, but its a long way off and until we get much closer who knows what really will happen.

I've posted in Chat, but what are our chances in Lincolnsire, near Louth? Lots, a little bit, or should I prepare for Snowmaggedon?

She won`t answer, probably too busy making fluffy snowballs and chugging down hot chocolate.

Which websites are we liking for the forecasts ATM?

I am really, really worrying about this now. I am pathetic, I know, but I have a long train journey tomorrow night. It is work related. The main issue is going to be spending all day tomorrow worrying with people saying 'ooh, I wouldn't go if I were you'.

Sarahs you are likely to have a lot of snow both tomorrow and into Tuesday with snow showers weds and thurs.

I have begrudgingly got the snow shovel out. Not the sledges though. i have decided we won't have enough for sledging.

It looks like we are going to get light snow, followed by heavy snow then sleet then rain all before 9am tomorrow.

DD's school tends to close at the mere whif of snow (for a good reason I may add) so I would like an idea of how much we're likely to get.

Im anxiously excited. Am in Herts but work in N London. Worried we might get lots here and none where I work. Scared of driving in snow following horrible accident in 2010.

I live in Eastleigh and work in Gosport, I doubt I'll be seeing snow anytime soon, we're too near the sea! I miss living up in the midlands sometimes...
