Snow watch!!!!

well, it looks like winter finally might be arriving!

First indications for snow are for this coming saturday as a low pressure draws in cold air . The met office arent really going for it at the moment, but the potential is certainly there. At the moment I'd say the biggest risk is for the midlands and central England.

After that there seems to be a cold few days but then the models start to disagree. GFS shows a positive snow fest for the 24th! masses of snow, but its a long way off and until we get much closer who knows what really will happen.

No matter what the weather does, it won't spoil the day- it just means that the memories you will have of it will be a bit different to what you expected.

I think the risk of snow for here on Monday depends on how far across the Pennines it moves - usually hit and miss here.

OYBBK- I'm in the west mids and we currently have a pathetic drizzle of snow. Is it going to get better? Are we going to get a snowday? Overexcited teachers children here who need to know!!

Aw good luck Toby! It's our anniversary next week. Everyone thigh we were mad having a January wedding, but we had a beautiful day, althgh I was prepared with Wellies and brollies! We didn't need them.

Althgh = although!

We either tend to be protected by the Pennines, or prone to weather coming past them that shouldn't! So it's a bit of a waiting game here.

PS it absolutely poured rain on our wedding day. It was June 6th and it was 12 degrees. I didn't give two hoots though, we had a marvellous time regardless. It's not like we live in the Caribbean . Have a wonderful day, post a pic when you're back from cloud nine

Our local council were out last night and have gritted all the roads and the car parks. No snow at all though it looked like we'd get shed loads of the stuff.

Im a bit worried about getting to an exam on Tues night (its a 40 min drive away, but I cant not go), but apart from that the snow isn't going to personally bother me too much.

Hmmm. Netweather peeps are talking about a major snow event for London on Monday, but BBC and metoffice are showing sleet/light snow.

Big congratulations to Toby, hope you all have a brilliant day whatever the weather brings.

Nothing here yet-v cold and sky v white though.

Just had a few flakes in Bracknell but it stopped quickly.

South London is coooold and dry. Sky is mostly white, with a dash of blue trying to poke through.

I am basking in 23 degrees. As long as I don't take my feet off the radiator!

I'm popping out later for supplies, then I'm ready for whatever the heavens send me.
