Can't promise that I'll be able to add as much as I usually do (not very well atm) so its quite likely I might miss stuff but I've added a few thoughts to that thread re the current set up and tis easier if I just keep it in one place.

-8 here, frosty and sunny. Off out to do a bit of shopping but will make sure we're back before the snow starts! ETA for that's between 12-3pm.

Whatevertheweather · 04/02/2012 08:44

Normal swim forgot it wasn't open til 12 on a Saturday! Glad you said that!

pigleychez · 04/02/2012 08:47

Minus 8 here this morning! Super chilly and typically the boiler packs up this morning! GGrrrrr and Brrrr.

Ive layered the girls up but they are already moaning they are cold :(

DH is off to the plumbing shop now to try and gets some bits to see if he can fix it.

Kayzr · 04/02/2012 09:01

im in kent, absolutely freezing, very dull outside and quite creepy! sky looks full of snow Smile

QED · 04/02/2012 09:32

Currently blue sky but cold near York. Still not convinced there will be any snow though.

seeker · 04/02/2012 09:33

A sprinkling here near Sittingbourne- very dull qnd grey but not as cold as yesterday.

Hulababy · 04/02/2012 09:34

QED - we have blue skies with a little cloud cover. Sun is shining but I suspect it is very cold outside. But snow is forecast :( I am in denial as much as possible.

mankyscotslass · 04/02/2012 09:41

No frost here this morning - Just taken DD to Drama class and didn't need to scrape the car. Smile

Sky is grey, but has a strange glow where the sun is trying to break through.

GlitterKitty · 04/02/2012 09:43

Nothing yet in London- but hard frost, and a snowy look about the sky.

The gritters were out last night about 11.

Mum is in mid Devon and she has lots of snow!

Pascha · 04/02/2012 09:43

In south kent - quite bright really, looks damp but i know its icy outside. No snow nor sign of it anywhere close.

pigsinmud · 04/02/2012 09:49

Just walked the dog over the fields in Surrey Hills. Gorgeous day. Hard frost sun out. Freezing in the shade, but there's a warmth to that sun. No sign of any snow in the sky here, hopefully this evening.

idontknowwhattodonnnnnn · 04/02/2012 09:52

OhyouBadBadkitten · 04/02/2012 10:24

Snow on a Saturday, rain before Monday is no good to me. Can you make is stick next week please OYBBK?

OhyouBadBadkitten · 04/02/2012 10:37

Models are still not really in agreement for the more tricky areas. It will be a 'look out of the window' job for many.

If you live around the NE, East Anglia, East Midlands, central midlands, Bedfordshire (and surrounding counties) Snow is pretty much guaranteed and a lot of it in places.

For those in Hampshire - dodgy territory :( Seems to be the dividing line with snow at first but then perhaps turning to rain - the further north you are, the better.

Coastal counties west of Hampshire - pretty much a bust. Further north western counties may see snow before rain sets in.

SE close to the coast - dodgy territory too just dont know which way it will go. Away from the sea, I'd err more on the snow side.

Timing - early afternoon for those away from CS/SE England. Early evening for them.

It's still gloriously sunny here in Surrey Hills ...way to cold for me to venture out though (except for emergency runs to the shed to fetch coal and beer)

My faith in DP has been restored...he's picked up a carload of logs from our local supplier :)

Hope your boiler is fixed soon Pigley

AngryFeet · 04/02/2012 10:42

Any idea what us in Croydon will be getting OYBBK? It is cold here now but bright and sunny. I haven't told the children about the snow in case it comes to nothing and they end up disappointed.

OhyouBadBadkitten · 04/02/2012 10:42

Bear in mind that where it rains this afternoon, there could be a very nasty ice risk for a while. Take care.

OP posts:
Gleek · 04/02/2012 10:42

What are your thoughts for Surrey OYBBK? I really don't want to go out tonight, snow could rescue me.

OhyouBadBadkitten · 04/02/2012 10:47

unless it goes horribly wrong angryfeet, then it looks I think like the snow will stay as snow for you.
