Also, when you see a glowy spot on the ground, dig it up and replace the 1000 bells you've dug up with 10,000. This will grow into a tree that will give you 3 lots of 10,000 bells once Grin sorry if anyone has mentioned this!

I also have a surplus of materials and some spare nook miles tickets if anyone is online tomorrow at the right time, pop a message on here if you're in need!

Taddda · 22/05/2020 03:12

Sold my turnips for 459bought them for 90

Brilliant! I'm getting on this on Sunday, been watching the market all week...Grin

This is possibly where I'm going wrong...I've been trying to replant the 1000 bells so it grows into a money tree, but it just re burys them?? How do you plant the 10,000??

When you dig up the bells out of the glowing spot you need to keep the hole open, then open up your pocket, cursor down to where your money balance is, and then click on it, and you can select the 10,000 option, it will then give you a 10k bell bag in your pocket, so you will the highlight that and it’ll give you the option to “bury in hole”.

QueenOfPain · 22/05/2020 03:31

Of course you need to actually have 10k in bells to be able to do that.

QueenOfPain · 22/05/2020 03:33

Other tips for making money, don’t sell any raw materials on their own, they’re all worth much more made into objects.

Weeds need to be made into leaf umberellas and they are worth 300 bells instead of the 150 you’d have got for that amount of weeds.

Basically anything you’ve crafted is worth 2x as much as those raw materials would have sold for.

Taddda · 22/05/2020 03:36

@QueenOfPain thank you! (I happen to be quite flush at the moment, 10 grand at ready to bury Grin)

Where do you find your 'star rating'??

OP posts:
Cherryghost · 22/05/2020 12:25

If you go into resident services and talk to Isabelle and ask what island evaluations are you can find out star rating.
I think you can only do this though once resident services has been updated

Taddda · 22/05/2020 12:35

Great stuff, thanks @Cherryghost- Resident services has just been upgraded and Isabelle is here, I'll pop in for a chat! Smile

Thanks for the money tip. I've just been putting the 1000 bells back in!

wingingmywaythroughlife · 22/05/2020 18:27

I was going to do the 10,000 thing... but got too excited and pressed Y instead of X! Could have cried lol

Playdoughbum · 22/05/2020 20:05

I can’t get Isabelle to talk to me about island evaluations. She just wants me to moan about other residents or change the tune.

Taddda · 22/05/2020 21:47

@Playdoughbum Same here Confused...

QueenOfPain · 22/05/2020 22:32

Has anyone mentioned about getting KK Slider there yet? That’s something to do with Isabelle and the ratings. Tom Nook and Isabelle have this long backwards and forwards conversation about raising the profile of the island and Tom Nook asks Isabelle to tell you the recent feedback.

QueenOfPain · 22/05/2020 22:33

When I finally managed to get KK Slider round for a gig I shat my pants as the credits started running and I thought I’d gone and completeD the game and that of course devastated me. It was thankfully, not the case.

Playdoughbum · 22/05/2020 23:19

I realised this- I needed to talk to TN about making a campsite. I hadn’t realised I needed visitors first!

Taddda · 23/05/2020 03:01

@Playdoughbum you sound like your at exactly the same point as I am! They've mentioned Kk slider, I've just set up the campsite, Nook has told me to watch out for tents and greet new arrivals...none as yet, but the campsite has only been up for a day and there setting up the art department at the museum- so that's closed till tomorrow...

Typically, I've found and caught a ton of fossils, bugs and fish today but not able to donate to Blathers, really hoping they survive the night in my house storage....Shock

OP posts:
Taddda · 23/05/2020 03:03

@Playdoughbum have you had visitors and managed to get Isabelle to talk about the rating??

OP posts:
Playdoughbum · 23/05/2020 05:27

No I have to set up the campsite yet - I hadn’t realised you have to do that. I’m not sure I want aa messy campsite on my lovely tidy island hmmmm.

Taddda · 23/05/2020 10:05

I've got a visitor at the campsite, one tent (they seem quite tidy @Playdoughbum, although haven't had a check this morning, Timmy and Tommy seem to buy any old crap though so I'll off loads any pizza/tinny leftovers their way...Wink)

They want to come and live here too, so setting up a house, still no star rating convo with Isabelle though Confused.

OP posts:
QueenOfPain · 23/05/2020 11:44

@Taddda You can place the bugs, fish etc on the ground in a neat pile outside somewhere, you have the option in your pocket to “place item”, it puts them in cute fish tanks and containers. It’s much less hassle to drop them all there than it is to keep going in your house to put in storage. Easier to pick them back up again that way too.

QueenOfPain · 23/05/2020 11:45

But they won’t die in your house storage so no need to worry about that.

The only things that seem to deteriorate are turnips if not sold within the week (or if you time travel).
