VB's dress on Mrs Burnham - horrible

I'm not a fashion expert and I really don't care much for it but this was the most horrible dress I have ever seen. Even on a coathangar bodytype like VB herself it wouldn't look good but on an average body it's just hideous. That's 850 £ unwisely spent. She could and should have gotten a dress from M&S for 50£ and actually looked good.

Quite frankly if I had gained a degree from Oxford or Cambridge university, then gone on to get a further degree, raised 3 children, and was married to the prime minister, I could spend whatever the hell I wanted on whatever the hell I wanted.
£850 on a dress, yes why the hell not?
She had earned it.
It’s not like she is a scrounger who has never done a days work in her life, married to another scrounger who hasn’t worked either is it?

This is the most important point. Her worth is not reduced by not having a flat stomach, and she shouldn’t have to wear clothes that hide it.

Think it looks good for holiday wear. (Hannah Waddingham was arriving for a TV appearance, not relaxing on holiday, is that dress still ok?) Not formal occasions though. And I don't see what's not flattering about that dress- she's curvy and the dress fits her perfectly.

The last line applies to both women, I honestly don’t see why one dress is acceptable to you but the other isn’t. Seriously, look at them side by side.

Is it to do with what is appropriate in the different situations ? One is a sexy star looking a bit like Marilyn Monroe going to an event . The other is I'm told there to support her husband in his position but due to harsh sunlight, fabric and the dress being a bit tight has ended up being talked about rightly or wrongly.

Bloody hell is this what we’ve come to fat shaming women ? The only ridiculous thing about what she wore was the price VB charges for her satin creations ! FWIW I think she looked fine Tiz refreshing to see a normal figure on an older woman !

😂or "flaunting her curves" and as she has been married for a long time she wasn't "showing her ex what he is missing"

Some poor z lister who has put on weight is usually accused of " flaunting curves"

Love her outfit here, especially the necklace comb (looks like links of London but is presumably not). Yes, yes, we mustn't comment but come on. Maybe her VB frock was some quirky postmodern number.
