The case of Elisa Lam fascinates me.

vigilantcitizen.com/vigilantreport/mysterious-case-elisa-lam/

The poor girl obviously went through "something" before her death. She was found in the rooftop water tank above a LA hotel. Her clothes were never found, the CCTV is creepy and her family will likely never have the answers :(

What do you make of it? Any mysteries that also fascinate you?

I watched the film about Joyce Vincent on Netflix, and the implication seemed to be that she may have been in an abusive relationship before her death, which would explain why she withdrew from family and friends.

Place marking/ bumping

Has anyone got a link to the roller coaster one please?

EauRouge · 24/10/2014 16:20

Here is the wiki page and here is the designer's page with some blurb about his vision and shit like that.

I think it's put me off roller coasters forever. It's not really a mystery, unless the mystery is why anyone would think of something like this in the first place.

Reading this thread again and then found this article on a webpage! Bit advert riddled but I like hearing about missing people - intrigues me most

I want to drive down Clinton Road, it sounds brilliant. I've been down what used to be highway 666, which was very scenic but not remotely woo.

I've just seen this posted on FB. There's not much info there as the video is obviously made for people with even shorter attention spans than mine, but you could always google if you see something interesting. I think with the photo ones you can easily put it down to developing mistakes.

I like the JFK one, love a good JFK conspiracy, especially the really bonkers ones.

Elisa Lam is mentioned on there again. Does anyone else think that weird hand motion she does looks a bit like swimming?

EauRouge · 27/10/2014 09:19

Just thought I should clarify, I thoguht I'd posted about elisa lam earlier. Maybe she was having some kind of hallucination where she thought she was swimming. I'm pretty sure there's an entirely non-woo explanation but not sure what it is. I think someone else must have been involved.

If your interested in spooky places and general weirdness then look up Bold St in Liverpool city centre. Several people have apparently experienced time slips there.

Cracked.com is great for stuff like this.

5 creepy unsolved disappearances

bigjimsdiamondmine · 08/11/2014 10:44

I know this is an old thread, just in case anyone is still lurking like me Blush , I thought I would add the 'Lauren spierer' case which has always totally gripped me. I'm on nexus so can't link but google it. Her poor parents Sad it seems that the lads she was with before leaving possibly know a lot more than what they are saying (at least Laurens parents seem to think so). I've spent days on websleuths over this case, hoping hard that the case will stay alive and hopefully get solved. I'll add some links later if anyone's still around and interested.

Mustangspirit · 08/11/2014 18:49

Kendrick Johnson is another case where you just hope for some closure for his poor parents. I can't link but he was found upside down in a rolled up mat in the gym at his high school. It was originally found to be an accident but the case was reopened after his parents campaigned. I hope they get justice one day.

bigjimsdiamondmine · 08/11/2014 19:54

god, just read about that. horrible Sad I guess it could've been an accident like they say but it seems so unlikely, especially with the missing tapes and all.

Misslgl88 · 30/11/2014 09:53

I've got one, a relation of my grandpas went missing years and years ago, she was a banker called Marion hodge and she went missing in 1984 no body ever found and I'm sure just recently a man has been detained and evidence sent to procurator fiscal but that report was a year or so ago and never heard anymore. I think the fact she was never found or never knowing what happened to her is a mystery in itself!

MeowImaCatfish · 24/12/2014 16:46

Can't remember where I saw/read it, but it went something like
A couple were driving down a road in America next to a forest, and the woman looked out her window and saw a really pale woman laid at the side of thre road, she made her husband stop the car n got out but she couldn't see the woman anymore, they rang the police who went down into the woods and found a car that'd crashed with a woman and a little kid who was still alive but was trapped. the couple identified the dead woman as the same lady they had seen at the top of the hill, but she'd died instantly...
