The case of Elisa Lam fascinates me.

vigilantcitizen.com/vigilantreport/mysterious-case-elisa-lam/

The poor girl obviously went through "something" before her death. She was found in the rooftop water tank above a LA hotel. Her clothes were never found, the CCTV is creepy and her family will likely never have the answers :(

What do you make of it? Any mysteries that also fascinate you?

So intriguing!

EverythingIsAwesome · 22/09/2014 18:43

Born, no-one screams, honestly! In fact, it just eerily goes back to normal :( so weird that the lift doesnt work while she is in it, but does as soon as she leaves? Was someone in control of it?

Actually, perhaps you guys can help me?

My mum once told me that her second cousin or other distant family relative of the same ilk in Canada was the victim of a violent murder, and that the police only found bits of her body...this would have been in the 70s or 80s...does anyone remember the case?

VivaLeBeaver · 22/09/2014 18:49

I've read about the McStay family before. I read rumours about drug dealing, maybe they upset someone? But if that was it you'd have thought the police would have some leads.......

ELISA Lam had bi polar. Was it suicide? But how did she get in a heavily lidded water tank?

Tenementfunster · 22/09/2014 18:52

I'm marking my place to read this thread later in the week when DH is home. I'm too much of a wuss to click on these links when I'm alone overnight. Wink

Tenementfunster · 22/09/2014 19:11

Yes can we get a warning if there's a jumpy out scary thing in any link. I don't think I could take the scare

Another one which is sad and totally intriguing is Sharon Marshall case. Poor love. How can no one know who she was?

Matildasmam22 · 22/09/2014 19:12

Love threads like this. Will probably regret reading them when it gets dark

gincamparidryvermouth · 22/09/2014 19:19

Viva I was going to say that Elisa Lam looked like she might have been having a psychotic episode. Poor girl and her poor family.

slothage · 22/09/2014 19:22

The sodder family mystery has always intrigued me

EverythingIsAwesome · 22/09/2014 19:23

I don't know much about bi-polar, is it a possibility she was hallucinating without drugs?

OP posts:
EverythingIsAwesome · 22/09/2014 19:26

Oh that Sodder family one is so sad, and where on earth did they go??

OP posts:
Kickassandlollipops · 22/09/2014 19:34

Google Bella in the witch elm , I used to chat to a old lady in the local area and she said it was a complete village cover up of a young woman who had been murdered by a group of young men then stuffed in a tree during world war 2 Shock

Kickassandlollipops · 22/09/2014 19:35

her

Yes, psychosis can cause hallucinations and bipolar disorder can cause psychosis. That being said, I don't think Elisa was necessarily literally seeing someone or something in the lift or in the hotel corridor: she may have just believed that someone or something was there and was communicating with her.

EverythingIsAwesome · 22/09/2014 19:37

Would explain her behaviour in the lift, but not how she got into the water tank & where her clothes went.

Ooo, I'm a bit creeped out. I'll come back to this in the bright non-scary daylight.
