Do you think Harry can be deported from the United States?

The Heritage foundation wants details about Harry's status.

Thats media though - they love shaking their sticks about things!

More to the point, Boris Johnson is in trouble in front of the Privileges Committee today for misleading Parliament.

Hmm, let's see, what shall we spend our air-time on...?

HamBone · 22/03/2023 11:45

Nah, he’ll be fine. As you said, OP, Ozzy couldn’t have lived there for decades if drug-taking prevented you from getting a visa. 😂

But, having been through the US immigration process myself, I did say in an earlier thread that he was daft to talk about drug-taking so openly as someone somewhere might make a thing of it- and now they have.

He needs to realize that he’s not considered a special person in the US, and in theory, he could be asked to leave. Only citizens are truly safe and he’ll never apply for citizenship as he’ll have to give up his ‘forrin’ title. So he needs to be quiet!

Howsimplywonderful · 22/03/2023 11:46

Some republicans want to be seen as tough on drugs, he’s not an American citizen so low hanging fruit for them.

I think If he wanted to remove drugs as an issue, he would have to show remorse and redemption and work on anti drugs issues in the states

Posyapocalypse · 22/03/2023 11:48

Of course he won't. If needs be, someone will be paid good money to make any threat go away.

tatalan · 22/03/2023 11:50

Oh guys, he travelled to the US in the past decade, I wonder if admitted to drugs then as well. The RF could be dragged into it too.

Hmm, I doubt it, because that really could result in him being deported if it ever came out.

He just needs to be quiet and realize that he’s not royalty in the US.

tatalan · 22/03/2023 11:52

I need him to never talk about drugs again.

Does he have a criminal record with drugs offences? As that is what would exclude him from being eligible for a visa, not claims by the media.

It isn't just claims by the media, he's said it himself on a programme that was probably watched by millions.

I'm sure he will get away with it, if he was one of the people referred to here "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore" He wouldn't get in.

Badger1970 · 22/03/2023 11:54

I can only hope and pray that they keep him. And her too for that matter.

We've got a country full of grifters already, thanks all the same.

She is an American citizen, don't be silly.

Same for Ozzy Osbourne, Justin Bieber, Cara Delevingne, Mick Jagger and Ed Sheeran 😅

I have to admit that I don't like talking about Boris 😳

Yes they don't fit either, they don't seem very tired or poor. I guess they might fancy breathing free.

It isn't just the US, we seemed to accept some fabulously wealthy Russian Oligarchs when there were others who were more desperate for a safe place to live.

I don't like listening to him. Bit of a dilemma as I'd like to hear his excuses so can't decide if I should watch this afternoon.

I think (but not sure) that the issue will be whether he has lied in previous documents submitted - pretty sure weed is legal in California so he can puff away to his hearts content? Other stuff, probably not as acceptable - not sure about the shrooms! Maybe they are allowed.

Including when he was travelling on official visits? this is juicy.

He was hanging out with some seriously dodgy people in Las Vegas, known drug dealers. They also had a number of prostitutes join them. He was there with the army

Nah, that was an official visit as well.

I suppose the difference is that if they were asked to leave, they’d just go back to their mansions in the UK/Canada ( or buy one) and moan abit, but it wouldn’t really affect them.

Whereas Harry really doesn’t want to return to the UK and would have to ask his father for assistance. If you need to stay somewhere, keep quiet and don’t piss anyone off!

ask his father for assistance

That makes no sense, they can continue to produce content from Netflix and Spotify anywhere in the world. Book sales don't stop just because he's moved country either.

I see them relocating to Canada before the UK tbh

There are plenty of other countries they could relocate to but it's highly unlikely it will come to this. If they ever leave the US now they have children I very much doubt they would be bringing them back to UK

HamBone · 22/03/2023 12:54

@tatalan I’ve no experience of being deported (😂) but I presume you’re initially removed to your home country and then you have to figure things out from there? No idea whether Canada or elsewhere would grant them visas.

All I’m saying is that he needs to understand that nowadays, he’s not considered a special person outside the UK and if I were in that position, I’d try not to antagonize anyone!

HamBone · 22/03/2023 12:57

Of course he’s not actually going to be deported, but someone’s trying to make a point with this hoo-ha.

tatalan · 22/03/2023 12:59

@HamBone they don't talk much about America except for how it's now home and been good to them.
