I suspect for two reasons 1) she was/is a member of the RF and if it had got out it would've been a HUGE scandal and she had a right to be forewarned and 2) so she could protect any future (royal) GC from scandal.

This is harder to answer. Were the allegations that were shared with her in 2018 shared with the Mexican authorities, where he was living? Did he fly to the Philippines directly from Mexico or did he pass through the US? Did he move to Mexico in order to escape the US authorities? More questions than answers!

I don't know much about his movements over the years, but if information on his alleged crimes was shared with the British authorities, surely it would have been with other countries too? 8 years is a very long time for an investigation of this nature to be unresolved.

It is understood the Metropolitan Police has not and is not currently investigating Thomas Sr and officers are carrying out an internal inquiry to confirm the royal protection unit passed on a 2018 letter to the Duchess of Sussex which made “troubling and disturbing allegations” against her father.

I agree with this. Especially as one is, like , a Prince , right?. OK they may not have got anywhere but just to assume something is happening in the background from a couple who position themselves as speaking up for the safety of children on-line - poorer than poor show. No way in 2018 did a law enforcement agency send a letter for something about a criminal investigation.

I also feel like this is an attempt to garner sympathy. I don’t believe any of this unless the police release evidence and arrest someone

Meg is going to have to produce this letter as it’s seems strange that the Met wouldn’t be able to find such information quickly.

She’s also going to have to produce the legal advice she was given that she was precluded from talking about it.
