Anyway headlines in the Mail - great for the brand and with Christmas coming up don't forget to get those As Ever orders in early to avoid disappointment. I'm hoping for this in my stocking

I think they do and both were an Italianate thing - one in the Roman era and the other in the 19th century Thailand opera houses.

I quite want to visit a 19th century Thailand opera house now.

I am responding to posts sent to me.
I posted a view. I did and have not attacked anyone’s individual post on the thread about the subject matter.

I am astonished by the rate of reaction. It is not normal. Nor I think is this thread.

The number of threads is fuelled by the daily postings, media leaks and appearances of Harry and Meghan. They give us plenty to discuss, as well as giving journalists stories people want to read.

I think they do and both were an Italianate thing - one in the Roman era and the other in the 19th century Italain opera houses. Both sought to protect that which they held dear in a semi-violent way - militaria in the first case and boisterous applause or booing in the second.

Yes, I know, thanks.

I was just looking at the ugly green crowd barriers and thought they looked cheap and not what you'd expect a a 'royal event'. You can see the difference here. Also, Meghan clearly has no minion to carry the flowers for her. The huge difference in crowds aside, this just screams 'wannabe royal' event. Why on earth are they doing this? It's so bizarre.

And everyone looks miserable or is looking the other way, such a difference from the 2017 picture.

fantom · Today 12:36

I think the optics of this visit look quite good tbh

TheTwerkingDuchessOfMonteshitshow · Today 12:36

I’m pretty sure someone mentioned a few pages ago that there would be a pose like the one on the left.n🤣

Also the reporter who said ‘it’s as if they’ve never been away’ also the one who said ‘it’s like their last visit’.

So, they were as unpopular then as they are now with their 100 fans?

sorry. The picture has vanished.

Harry''s crime being a bit thick and marrying a black American actress and deciding he's had enough of this farce. Take him down to the cells.

Why's he dragged his wife and children back to the farce then?

And why did she come when it caused her so much trauma?

Puzzledandpissedoff · Today 12:36

Amazing how these posts plop in out of nowhere just as H+M appear in front of a disappointing crowd, what a (literally) incredible coincidence.

Pretty tedious, too, that they're still trying the "racism" angle Hmm

After all that's happened over the last six years, and all the criticism where Meghan's race has rarely been mentioned, you'd have thought they'd have had time to come up with something more original, but sadly not

IdaGlossop · Today 12:36

The DM is going in hard. 'Non-royal' in the headline. Unless the quotation marks mean they are Sussex supporters and think the visit actually is a Royal visit.

They are probably looking miserable because they got told there were actual holes.

Instead they got the arse variety.

Just to mention this is very near to me, and a friend who works on the area's industrial estate tells me they and several other businesses were visited by someone (PR staff? They didn't know ...,) who said excitedly that the couple were coming and did they want to come and watch

So it appears the schoolchildren weren't the only ones being dragooned in ...

Ah, you mean the Sussex Propaganda Machine was trying to drum up a claque?

‘A claque is a group of people hired or organized to applaud, cheer, or influence the reaction of an audience at a performance, political event, or public speech’.

TheTwerkingDuchessOfMonteshitshow · Today 12:38

Here we are. The picture on the left.

Also the fact they are pretending to still be part of a family that they left & walked away from & that family is no contact with them? It's humiliating!

Starryfifty · Today 12:39

If it is true that Meg is busy reading scripts, I say fair play. A lot more glamorous (which is what she wants) than visiting Nottingham. Her spin is ok that she's not a working royal. Alas, her hubby has an issue letting that go

EmpressSisi · Today 12:40

Suing for posting an opinion on a public message board 🤣🫣🤭

valeriy2 · Today 12:41

Well if this gets the Dollittles off their lazy arses to do some "work" then it's a job well done whatever the ulterior motives. Princess Anne can only spread so far....

swedishrhapsody · Today 12:42

Ah “work” again.

I do love a nice tell…

Noras · Today 12:42

Look I was not happy at what happened at the time of the DOE and the Q death. I also did not like the courtesy thing.
however the treatment of H and M is now verging on bullying I fear.

I would imagine that for the sake of the Kings health and Williams mental state something needs to be done to resolve the situation.

There are people that are positively nasty about Harry and I don’t agree with that.

I was irked that he attacked on the POW ( which was horrendous and then she had cancer) and also about all the other stuff but even so.

Harry is a royal - he’s not really good for nothing else as he’s been brainwashed from birth - it’s what he does.

In fairness they didn't know if the guy was part of H&M's machine or not, but I'm told he didn't exactly look like an excited bystander keen to spread the news ... more like someone vaguely official (and with some sort of earpiece)

They didn't get a chance to clock him again after he left though, because nobody took up his invitation

I write like that hence the post.Don't worry I'm busy clearing the house on eBay and just popped in for a mo to see how it was going and hopefully help the OP with the answer to her question.

Yeah right 😆

ETA actually, there’s a few posters who have just appeared who are employing some rather strange turns of phrase 🤔
