This threat to sue is a new one, no?

And mega points for “claque of praetorian guards”. Quite creative and much higher brow then than the normal visitor happening by.

How do you think Meghan & Harry "damaged those discussed" in Spare, Oprah & Netflix?

What are your thoughts especially when much of what was said was debunked as either completely false or highly exaggerated?

I am not particularly a fan. I like his work with Invictus.

I do though hate nastiness dressed up as some sort of moral high ground.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · Today 12:22

swedishrhapsody · Today 12:20

They damage themselves with lies, vary recollections and utter nonsense.

You can imagine all you like but there is no-one in the land who would encourage such a case.

Well, maybe Harry’s old brief might.

I doubt if Sherborne's up for a lost cause considering that the last one cost his principal millions.

I’ve never been in a claque before. Such fun!

Nobody is obliged to tailor threads to your preference. If you don't like the tone of the thread, by all means don't post.

How did the management team react when you reported the thread?

Monty36 · Today 12:24

IcedPurple · Today 12:21

Go and do it then if the thread bothers you so very much.

Do you have anything to actually contribute other than slagging off other posters?

I am responding to posts sent to me.
I posted a view. I did and have not attacked anyone’s individual post on the thread about the subject matter.

I am astonished by the rate of reaction. It is not normal. Nor I think is this thread.

swedishrhapsody · Today 12:24

I am not particularly a fan either. Of the Hapless Pair of course.

I hate liars who seek to hurt others with their lies with every fibre of my being.

Harry''s crime being a bit thick and marrying a black American actress and deciding he's had enough of this farce. Take him down to the cells.

He’s clearly not had enough though has he, he’s come crawling back to salty island to a crowd of 200 including bussed in children, despite all the hype and publicity that’s all they can manage.

But your accusing these threads of "damaged those discussed " so I think it's fair to bring up all those damaged by Harry & Meghans "nastiness dressed up as some sort of moral high ground" to use your own words!

I really don't care what you think is 'normal'.

Why are you posting multiple times on a thread which bothers you? Like I said, report the thread it you think it violates site guidelines. If not, maybe find something which appeals to you more.

Err 2 days earlier in London tourist capital of the world. Crowd barriers in place - good weather - err crickets - literally !

Err, actually not.
Show us the wide angle for H&Ms visit.
William's was an unpublicised event, while H&M was announced 2 weeks ago and they bused in schoolchildren.

Visiting the city in December 2017, the couple were greeted by thousands of people outside the Nottingham Contemporary and National Justice Museum, attending a World AIDS Day event at the latter.

What a contrast today is from their visit in December 2017.

Huge donations and jerk chicken - how city became Prince Harry's 'special place'

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be returning to the city on Thursday (October 15) - their first joint engagement since moving back to the UK

'Claque' AND 'Praetorian Guard.' I'm not sure the two terms are actually a phrase that works as they're two distinct things with different meanings and functions. In fact 'claque' is more appropriate as a descriptor of HaM supporters.

Just to mention this is very near to me, and a friend who works on the area's industrial estate tells me they and several other businesses were visited by someone (PR staff? They didn't know ...,) who said excitedly that the couple were coming and did they want to come and watch

So it appears the schoolchildren weren't the only ones being dragooned in ...

Squad propaganda.

Amazing how these posts plop in out of nowhere just as H+M appear in front of a disappointing crowd, what a (literally) incredible coincidence.

Going back in time, imagine the Duke of Windsor and Wallis returning to England after his abdication and popping up regularly at non royal events, garnering much publicity.
The Duke had been immensely popular (as had Harry, but not to the same degree and Harry of course not the direct heir). The RF made sure he was unwelcome and they only returned on very rare occasions, i.e. his mother Queen Mary’s death.

The Duke of Windsor as first in line to throne was very popular much more so than his younger brother George. Of course very few people knew of his affairs particularly with Wallis as the UK media didn’t report anything about it.
His generous “allowance” on abdicating was on condition that he lived abroad - he was made Governor of Bermuda at first then went to live near Paris.
The RF and Government realised living in Uk would be a real problem.
He became more unpopular quite quickly due to his links to Hitler before and possibly during the war. KG became very popular relatively quickly.
One difference that stands out with H is that he hasn’t been given an allowance to live in California perhaps if he had been we wouldn’t have had Oprah, Spare etc - conditions could have been imposed but too late now.

I was just looking at the ugly green crowd barriers and thought they looked cheap and not what you'd expect a a 'royal event'. You can see the difference here. Also, Meghan clearly has no minion to carry the flowers for her. The huge difference in crowds aside, this just screams 'wannabe royal' event. Why on earth are they doing this? It's so bizarre.

Ewwww it gets cringing, I bet their furious it turned out to be such a non event,😂 the comments on Facebook this morning are gold! People are bewildered to say the least "but they ain't royal no more"😁

I think they do and both were an Italianate thing - one in the Roman era and the other in the 19th century Italain opera houses. Both sought to protect that which they held dear in a semi-violent way - militaria in the first case and boisterous applause or booing in the second.

Yes, exactly. They look like barriers on roadworks, not to keep the royals from being mobbed by their adoring fans! The whole 'visit' is just so D list!
