Apparently brave Harry always needs security while visiting school children!

I KNOW i shouldn't comment on looks. But in that picture M seems to have tiny little thin legs...on the most enormously long feet!

God, security. In a school. Did he think the kids were going to throw rotten fruit at him?

When Camilla came to visit the Women's Refuge in my town she had one security man with her.

Someone's channelling Uncle Matthew there ... 'Frogs,' he would say, 'are slightly better than Huns or Wops, but abroad is unutterably bloody and foreigners are fiends.'

Makes me laugh 😂

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/09/2026 13:38

I agree the school should have handled this FAR better, and god help us if Harry intends to visit more, either for Invictus or anything else, but why on earth would they want to have the idiot in the first place??

If they really wanted a focus on injured service people I'm sure Help for Heros or the British Legion could put together something suitable, so why go for some addled prince who's visit was always going to be controversial?

Do you think W is going to put H's name in a drawer 😂

Utter Sewer

So a couple of questions ...

Why does he need six photogs when surely the usual thing now is to have one or two who share the images?

And is that grunt standing on the far left security (I didn't think the teacher looked like that) and if so why the need to be so prominent?

School at fault here. They should have stepped in or not even have the twat and his entourage there in the first place

All I could see are her feet.

They don’t need security when they can just use one of her shoes as a baton, a surface to air missile or a projectile missile.

If her feet also honk, it would be like a chemical weapon. That size of vessel could stun everyone in 100m radius.

JSMill · 28/09/2026 14:09

Isn’t part of the reason for the royal rota is that you don’t have lots of camera men or reporters at places like schools and hospitals?

That's exactly why.

Also, @Puzzledandpissedoff, there are some excellent biographies written by paralympians/amputees that tackle what it's like to lose a limb in an accident and live a fulfilling life with all its challenges, that I think would be more appropriate for a school setting. I'm just about to order Clank by a guy called Angus Simpson who is a friend of a Canadian friend, to review - and hopefully it'll be a good donation to my local school library. (Angus lost a leg in a farm accident when he was a small boy.)

Why do the security men always look unfit and overweight? Or am I only noticing those ones?

My2cents1975 · 28/09/2026 15:02

IMHO, the school visit needed six cameras to shoot different angles for a production. I suspect that these grifters outings are for content to bulk up the Diana documentary, perhaps to position H as the son "authentically" carrying forward Diana's legacy.

The comfort of the students was not considered as they were essentially viewed as unpaid extras on set, there to support the main character's narrative.

I wonder if they got him waving his arms about and walking weirdly too?

According to hello mag bryony is a close personal friend!! , so obviously she’s not going to be biased in her reporting then!! 😁
however after much searching ( they seem to have removed the full picture and only the cropped version remains!) , I have located this gem!

Ah Harry's type of woman 😉

I've seen her face a few times - I always think she's like a more full faced Holly Willoughby.

AlexandraCarrington · 28/09/2026 15:57

And in badly fitting clothes. Not exactly top of the range. They should blend in, not stand out for the wrong reasons.

If that's the case (and it's plausible) the parents of the pupils have every right to be even more furious than they already are. As far as we know, they only signed a permission slip for photos of the visit of a senior royal. Footage for inclusion in a 30-year commemorative film of one of the most famous women of the 20th century is something quite different.

Is 'stoned, sloshed and scruffy' the look Harry really wants for this film?

You'd be expecting Princess Anne or someone on that level, wouldn't you.

If you look at photos from W and C’s visit to Bute , their security team were all in casual jackets and jeans so blended in perfectly .

Marquee2go · 28/09/2026 16:18

Is it too much to hope that the 'kevlar shield' was actually just an umbrella to prevent H getting sunburnt on his bald patch?

If it genuinely was a kevlar shield, I feel sorry for the guy who had to stand there in a suit and tie holding it.

Very visible security, usually 'bulky' exWWE/UFC looking blokes in too tight suits to show off their bulk, is one mark of the C (and below) List celeb in H'wood. That type of security detail is intended to show how famous they are, or rather, that they want others to think they are. It also does draw the eye, but not of the A & B List in attendance. Or to the People Who Really Matter if you want to advance your career.

Of course there are some A & B List who do the 'security circus', but most usually have more 'subdued' security, from invisible to more like the Secret Service presents itself. You know who the SS agents are if you look for them, but they don't really stand out.

Just to add that I think H and M want people to see they have security ( therefore ViPs) and it wouldn’t suit them to have security blending in .

Some of us have very long feet, why do other women find that so hard to understand?
