Is Archewell Productions still a thing?

Website seems dead dormant.

You'd think a new project might light it up?

Edited

I thought it had all been renamed Archewell Philanthropies now, Cathy, though I suppose they might have hived off the "Production" bit as a separate entity in case any more grifting opportunities turned up?

As for the behaviour over Uvalde, @Lunde, I remember that photo of Meghan with the photogs coming out and one of the more manic fans insisting it showed her telling them off for being there

They were inventive, you have to give them that ...

It’s so unfortunate - he has inherited Diana’s lack of intellect/academic ability but has none of her humour, charm or star quality. And it must surely rankle that as they have aged, William nowadays is looking rather dapper whereas Harry looks like a grumpy curmudgeon. I normally would never comment on looks but consider Harry fair game, given his nasty remarks on William’s appearance in Spare.

Edited to say this is in response to @Ratherhaveacupofteaandabiscuit‘s post. I tried to link the quote but it’s not worked for some reason.

StartupRepair · 27/09/2026 22:23

With no co-operation from anyone who knew Diana, the documentary is just going to have to focus on Meghan and how like Diana and awesome she is.

Al-Fayed was specifically looking to make royal connections. Him leasing the Villa Windsor wasn't an "organic" connection.

I heard that he was hoping that Diana and Dodi would live there once they were married.

Whoopiedooo · 27/09/2026 22:41

She looks stuck together wrong like those faces where the eyes are upside down and it's obviously wrong but you have to really concentrate to work out how.
Or like Death Becomes Her.

AlexandraCarrington · 27/09/2026 22:48

Not just age, I think, but lifestyle. William has plenty going on in his life to keep him occupied and interested - long term objectives to work towards, things to do, people to meet. He obviously looks after himself, always looks well turned out, always looks interested. Harry just hasn't and doesn't.

Here is a new angle of the “six cameras in my face” school visit. No wonder the boy was agitated.

I am just waiting for HAM to say the incident at the RAF base in Gloucestershire increases their need for security.

I think he could talk about his day to day life after the divorce, what it was like being told abc by the MIGS and xyz by his dad, what he learned about his mum after the fact as a grown up, what it was like when Camilla married his dad, about the weirdness of having Diana as a mum and having people like John Travolta dining out on that one dance, about the decision making processes in the palace - just so much stuff from the inside. Basically, cheap inside gossip, completely one sided but his story/truth.

He would give his perspective and needn’t even reference his brother. There can’t even be a pretence that this would be a rounded perspective, seeing as nobody inside her birth family or the RF will participate. It would just be about his and his life and his mum and her influence on him.

The problem is that Harry has said previously in the Netflix series that he has very few childhood memories of Diana. Which in itself is a bit odd for a 13 year old - but it would strain credibility if he suddenly claimed a lot of memories.

what does H really know about his mother? He was 11 when she died? If this suggested documentary is in HAM's hands, it will be an absolute disaster. It will be HAM and hamlets footage at Althorp. I imagine it will be the first look at the kids faces.

He was a bit older - he turned 13 two weeks after she died

Beesandhoney123 · 27/09/2026 23:06

I have no doubt if Diana had met Megs, Megs would not have married H. Diana, being attention seeking herself, and a staunch royalist, would have disliked M. Imo.

H should let his dm rest in peace. No respect for his family at all. Its terribly self indulgent of him. I wont be goinv to watch it, a) because it will be a sugar fest 2) out of respect for our king and queen, and the heir.

Lunde · 27/09/2026 23:07

Starryfifty · 27/09/2026 20:56

What could he possibly have known at his age? William is the son who knows where the bodies were buried because he was older and Diana leaned very heavily on him. The only Diana doc worth watching is one that shows her many flaws as well as her many strengths.

There are only 2 years between them - I don't know where this narrative of William being much older has come from

William turned 15 that summer - about 8 weeks before her death
Harry turned 13 - 2 weeks after her death

It seemed everyone leaned on William as a young teenager. Diana used him as a confidante and even took him to meetings/lunches with tabloid editors. Charles relied on him after her death to "take care of" his traumatised younger brother who resented him. And Charles Spencer barely gave him a thought because he was "older"

Good question. What l disagree is that Diana had good legs in that see- thru skirt. They're just alright legs. But it's a very minor thing. But what I can5 believe is the idea that Megan was copying Diana with her seethru. skirt. The first one is of a young girl, inexperiencedin the ways of the press, being tricked into standing in a certain way, so that the skirt is see-thru. She is art less in the photo, she doesn't even know how to present her facial expression. With Megan's skirt, there must be a wardrobe malfunction

I do see what you mean. Diana did have long elegant legs which were well toned from ballet and the gym but I agree in that particular photo they didn’t look so amazing or warrant the fuss they generated.

Meghan’s wardrobe fail didn’t generate similar excitement, but you’d think SOMEONE would have noticed. It can’t just be us, can it?

John Travolta 'dined out' on that dance???

Err, you do know John Travolta's career do you? Lots ro 'dine out on' that are far more famous than a dance with Diana...

Indeed! By all accounts it was supposed to be a different person but they were unavailable…Diana was a huge fan of John travolta…if anything…she was the one dining out!!!

I think a lot of it was was due to William being much taller while Harry looked a bit lost . The Sussex narrative ( perpetuated by CS) is that Harry was just a wee boy while his 2 year older brother was viewed as almost adult.

That’s not my point. The book made a lot of money. Oprah would have banked them a lot of cash if that had been the deal. It’s not about your personal credibility when you’re Netflix, as long as there’s enough to pass the lawyers’ tests (did the Beckham come out with more less credibility and was that even a factor for Netflix?). It’s about $$$ and there’s lots of it to be had with this project including from people ready to rip Harry to shreds (further). More fool him for putting himself out there - I guess some people people will stop at nothing for money or ego. Literally nobody on the planet cares about Harry’s reputation apart from him, his wife (to the extent it impacts her) and the people who can make money off him and that only for as long as they can. Sadly I think even his own dad is giving up on him (mostly because he won’t listen).

If Harry goes ahead it will be spare 2 or the same format as Spencer’s book…however this will slag off his father and his brother….he has nothing of note to say and he’s too petty to not use any platform as a means to stick the boot in.

The fuss they warranted was that we were seeing something we shouldn't have seen. Her legs through the skirt. Or maybe the legs of a future queen, or maybe the legs of a virgin. Or maybe all those things. Whatever. It has a 'what the butler saw' element to it. There was a lot of prurience about her virginity.

They absolutely did.

And insisted that Harry was the child.

They were both children on that day.

Only one is still a child now.

I can see how they keep getting confused.

Yes, that’s how I remember it.

But also it was reported that Charles told her (I checked the wording for accuracy) “I knew your legs were good, but I didn’t realise they were that spectacular!” He was probably trying to cover her embarrassment (or equally likely his own) but it raised the stakes.

I was a year younger when my mum died. I have very few memories of her and I wasn't at boarding school from 8. I think the grief in these situations affects memories.

I think it does. I'm sorry for your loss 💐
Harry can't really contribute much.
