Inappropriate photo op for William and catherine

This was at an event this week. But the photo just made me gasp. It looks like the elderly woman is being used as a prop, rather than being treated in a dignified way.

i think he should be shoved off Beechy Head in a barrel, personally.

But they can only arrest him if he’s broken the law and technically he hasn’t. How d’you get around that?

i wasn’t advocating MNers should sully their eyes with such toxic stuff, merely summarising some of the awful slanders put about to try to destroy the Wales family. In fact I was responding to a question myself on that topic. Some people still don’t realise ( or choose to deny) that such SM campaigns exist, presumably because it suits their narrative to claim that only the Sussexes are attacked.

People point out lies about the RF because we are a Constitutional Monarchy, and destabilising our HoS - and therefore our democracy - isn't a good thing.

Could I ask you @OneLilacHedgehog how you would feel if your grandmothers photo was used in this way? i.e. displayed on a public forum without her knowledge or consent for people to discuss?

It's deplorable behaviour yet you have ignored all the PP who have asked about this and continue to engage with other PP's about all aspects of the RF?

I asked for it's removal as well, @JuniperJumper. It's so clearly a misrepresentation of events in order to smear W&K.

I totally agree but I'm also very angry about the photo as the poor elderly lady has even been named on here.

It's despicable to publish a photo like that on line when there were so many lovely ones to choose from. I really feel it should have been removed at the outset or, better still, that @OneLilacHedgehog had never used it on this thread

You're right, I'm sure. Someone pointed out that it's from a website board dedicated to anti W&K posts and images. The image isn't available outside of this, apparently. The picture which was used by the press was the nicer one, in which the elderly lady looks very happy!

Yes, it would appear to be more to their taste.

I've often wondered that. There are at least 2 forums (fora?) where they'd feel more at home, but they stay here and trot out the same things.

They moan that MN is full of right-wing, old royalists because they have the magic ability to see us through our screens and to guess our voting history.

My money is on none of us hearing from Lilac, as such, again.

I think we might hear from A MauveMole, or similar, though, in the future.

So you are gloating about the possibility that you have bullied the OP off her own thread. Because she refused to partake of the sackcloth & ashes advocated by some posters.

This despite the fact that she has done nothing wrong at all, and MN evidently agree as this thread complete with picture is still here. The poor optics of the picture are very plain to see and the criticism is in no way directed at the lady in the picture, it is disingenuous to suggest it is. It is completely legitimate to criticise principal members of the RF like this; we know that this isn't the first time by any means that some of them have demonstrated poor judgement and don't seem to have appreciated how they come across. But we know that some think they walk on water and they alone should be above any criticism.

Interesting lack of acknowledgement that the OP should not have used an unreleased, unlicensed Reuters photo.

The released photo was a lovely picture of the lady which could in no way have been seen to be derogatory of her.

What about the bullying of this elderly lady by OP?
