Inappropriate photo op for William and catherine

This was at an event this week. But the photo just made me gasp. It looks like the elderly woman is being used as a prop, rather than being treated in a dignified way.

Peaceful and respectful? I disagree with that ! There were screeds of posts saying she didn't really have cancer, it was complicated , it was only preventative etc .

I know. There were some absolutely horrendous threads about Kate.

The board after Catherine completed the 3 peaks challenge descended into complete farce, mostly hijacked by people who had
a. Absolutely no knowledge of the impacts of a life threatening disease and
b. Absolutely no knowledge of walking in the mountains
Yet insisted on giving us their clearly uninformed and ignorant opinion of the successful completion of an amazing challenge.

It was awful.
Then there was a hideous one about her appearance at Wimbledon. She got ripped apart.

Just like there have been and continues to be awful posts that Meghan didn't give birth and she used a surrogate. The ongoing awful comments about her appearances too and gets ripped apart on a daily basis on this board.

When I see them they all seem to do what is asked of them with dignity and grace. They understand that THEY aren’t the stars of the show. They take time and listen to members of the public with interest and respect and don’t look for the camera all the time.

That’s all I ask of them. I don’t care if their clothes aren’t edgy.

This thread was intended to be yet another one, ripping into W&K, fortunately someone clarified about the image, so it didn't quite go as this OP wished.

No-on on these boards says that. Even the slightest hint of that conspiracy theory and the post is taken down.

There are some sites where they deny she had/has cancer. Instead, William beats her up regularly, she was rushed to hospital a couple of years ago and has a small scar on her temple to prove this story. He beats her up because she’s dull and he’s having an affair with Rose Hanbury, AND with Rose’s husband at the same time.

I’m not making this up - there are some very twisted and frankly, sick, people out there.

That they have to stoop to these sick levels shows how little- actually nothing- genuine that they can criticise her for.

There were threads on here claiming that William was beating her up. Awful. There was one ripping in to William when he didn't attend a church service, claiming he was seeing another woman, it turned out he'd been to visit his cousin whose husband had just taken his own life.

The thread that was started a couple of months about the Sussex children was not started by any regular posters.

Several regular posters objected on the thread because it has been customary on these boards not to criticise children personally, and to avoid conspiracy theories around medical issues.

Several regular posters reported the thread to Mumsnet (and said so on the thread).

Agreed, i member a number of years ago when certain longtime posters were claiming Catherine was moving into Adelaide cottage on her own as they had split up and a poster gleefully posted an Hello magazine article that said William and Catherine had split (but it was an old article when they’d split up briefly after college).

False logic. Just because some crimes are worse than others doesn't mean we ignore or minimise them.
