CoffeeCantata

I just find that so hard to believe. Before all the drama of the last few days I was thinking what a nightmare it would be for the school and the other parents in so many ways, with all the silly arrangements and restrictions HAM would want.

Absolutely.

I think they're so busy pushing the narrative of Harry "World's Best and Only Full-time Dad" and Meghan "Most Important Title is 'Mom' (but remember I'm a duchess)" that they don't see that loving your children is the very least anyone can expect of parents.
The other parents at this school obviously love their children too and will be far more interested in their own child's experience of going to school and whether the HAM shenanigans will affect them adversely.
HAM need to remember that other human beings aren't just pawns who are happy to be pushed around in their silly games.

Yesterday I thought it was strange that news stories were reporting that M had already joined the class WhatsApp. It seemed a trivial detail. I also thought it strange as I don’t think schools have anything to do with these groups so you would really only get added once you had got to know some parents at the school gate, so it seemed a bit premature. Today we have this story. It feels a bit off to me. It’s almost like an excuse to move the dcs again. We’ll see.

Wait so this is the new school where they are already on WhatsApp and being leaked?

I had assumed it was the first school where parents were relieved to see the back of them.

I can’t keep up! 🤦‍♀️

No, it's the first school.

Interesting though that no one has leaked Catherine's number in the years she has been at school events, meeting other parents at the pub and hosting coffee mornings. I wonder who actually leaked Meghan's number.

Exactly, @MrsLeonFarrell.

No leaks in all the time that the Wales children have been at school.

A leak as soon as someone known for leaks joins a WhatsApp group.

Yes, interesting

'Wait so this is the new school where they are already on WhatsApp and being leaked?'

But as a pp said it wouldn't have been her personal number anyway it'd be spare for school chat plus if she'd joined a WhatsApp group she shared her number in the first place.

So much constant dramaz with this pair. I do wish they'd flounce again and busy themselves with jam and oversharing on sm but from the US not here.

For clarity re IPP, as it keeps coming up:

Internationally Protected Person (IPP) status deals with security for individuals abroad.
It is defined in international law (by UN Convention), ratified into UK law by Act of Parliament (Internationally Protected Persons Act 1978).
Harry does not qualify.
At one point he might have done, under Section 5, when acting on behalf of the monarch on a formal royal visit abroad, or when in the household of the monarch.

Diplomatic immunity is different, although the people involved may be the same.
This is where certain individuals have immunities and privileges that they obtain through the Diplomatic Privileges Act 1964 (later extended by the State Immunity Act 1978).
Again, Harry does not qualify.
He is not acting on behalf of the head of state, or in his household.

I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Having said that the pattern that has emerged over the last 6 years is one of leaks, and using those leaks to push for security and anything else they want. As I said they have made a mistake thinking that those tactics will work in this country when the other royals, minor or otherwise, all manage perfectly well. It's hard to claim you need a convoy, or that rich parents are leaking your details when that doesn't happen to anyone else.

Because William does.

Mencia · 16/09/2026 09:27

I don’t remember if it was in this thread or another but someone asked about what the security team is doing while the children are in school, in the actual classroom.

This is just anecdotical but (I’m originally Spanish) my cousin met the now King Felipe while at university, reading Law. Back then a group of students was selected to join the then Crown Prince in an ad-hoc Law programme covering also Politics and Economics. So basically they were classmates for a few years.

Felipe had a security team who waited for him outside the classroom and the buildings but one of them would always sit at the back of the classroom. They worked shifts so it was a different guy every day.

Halfway during the first year one of these guys told his bosses he was actually interested in the subjects being taught and discussed so asked to do more shifts and the university agreed to him joining the class. In the end he “worked” all shifts ;-)

This security guy graduated with them a few years later.

It means they will never have to pay for security, it'll always be provided. Harry does not have a grasp of reality.

If H never had IPP status, why does he think he's entitled to it now ?

Because he thinks he should have had it all along. That former head of royal security guy certainly has the measure of them. He more of less said they are creating a drama out of nothing to force Ravec to give them security. But it won't work. The risks to them will be assessed by experts. And if they want to be safe and secure keep a low profile and stop posting on social media,

Because he is a Prince of England and the country would be devastated if anything happened to him .
And cos William has it .

Absolutely, it's obvious to everyone else, isn't it? Harry won't let it go though.

IF - and it’s a big IF - HAM are awarded taxpayer funded security could RAVEC advise ( instruct) them to keep a lower profile , stay off SM etc ?

TheRealHousewife · 16/09/2026 09:36

I’ve seen some debate as to whether or not it was the H&Msters 1st or 2nd school whereby Meghans mobile number was leaked.

Answer COURTESY of Ai:-

Morning. Based on the reporting that’s out this week, the alleged WhatsApp leak is tied to the first school Archie and Lilibet started at in the UK — not the second one they moved to. thesun.co.uk
Here’s the sequence as reported:
• Meghan joined a parents’ Year 3 WhatsApp group the night before the children began at that school. A welcome message referred to Archie starting the next day. express.co.uk
• Archie (7) and Lilibet (5) attended for about two days.
• They were then withdrawn because their private security team raised concerns about the commute (heavy traffic, longer journey than expected).
• They have since started at another school in the area. dailymail.com
Several outlets explicitly describe the leak as coming from the school they were pulled out of. One report noted a bit of uncertainty about whether the chat was first or second school, but the timing (night before their first UK school day + Year 3 group for Archie) matches the first placement. lbc.co.uk
The schools themselves have not been officially named. Reports place the family in the Cotswolds / Oxford area. I wouldn’t treat any circulating screenshot as verified, and joining a parents’ group with a personal number is how WhatsApp normally works — the issue reported is that a screenshot was then shared more widely.

New Prince Harry and Meghan Markle security alert as Duchesses phone number was leaked from school she pulled her children out of | LBC

Harry and Meghan are facing a fresh security issue after the Duchess of Sussex had her personal phone number leaked.

They're not working royals, so it's unlikely they'd get what they want. However, they're already going against accepted security guidance at any level with the way they behave and what they share, but who's to stop them? I suppose they can only advised.

IPP also would entitle PH to world wide security, not just in the UK.

Mencia · 16/09/2026 09:41

Harry perhaps needs IPP status but in the context of protecting him from himself and from his wife.

I think this is a huge factor for him as they had plenty of faux royal tours planned. Australia was a shit show (despite them thinking otherwise) and they desperately need the status
