Why pick on Iceland? A country of nature-loving readers?

Mums go to Iceland.

I’m laughing at the ‘reunited with the king’.
David Beckham has spent more time with the King this year than HaM .
I don’t personally see M spending much more time with them either.
Camilla won’t want to waste her precious weekends having to host HaM.
And frankly -I don’t think the Kimg will either.
Not everybody is utterly enveloped in their children’s lives.
The King is head of state and leads - for a man with cancer of his age - an extraordinarily busy stressful life. His down time is precious and if I’m brutally honest I think he would prefer to see the grandchildren he has a bond with, with whom the future of the monarchy lies.
I don’t think he wants the stress. Can you imagine the tension ?
The King loves gentle things -his garden, painting, reading, nature, being outside at Birkhall/Sandringham. His ‘down time’ is precious and I think he will (if he hasn’t already) come to the conclusion that he hasn’t got the time energy or patience to deal with the non stop demands from H - and M.

I was in the Highgrove shop today. There were some really very lovely paintings by the King for sale, including some dated 2026. He’s a very accomplished water colourist. That peaceful downtime is very important for him. I can’t see him giving up more than the occasional hour for Harry and his family.

Thank you. My Sussex name is in abeyance.

Meghan could give him tips on building a SM following for his online storefront. He's missing out.

DaisyDooley · 08/09/2026 21:14

I don’t know where the children of David Cameron or Boris Johnson go to school. I have no idea where they live beyond a rough idea of area.
I have no idea what security Sam Cam and Carrie have, if any.
I have zero idea of their daily lives, or which charities they support or when they go there.
Yhe reason idont know any of this is because they don’t announce it.

Harry especially seems to make himself and his family a much bigger security risk than they should be. Why the fuck should we pay because he cannot keep his fat mouth shut??it’s disgraceful that he desperately makes himself a target so we have to pay.
Wheres his personal responsibility? He needs that spelling out to him.

What is he afraid of? I'm genuinely curious. The worst is jeering/heckling and KC gets that. If any member of the RF is at risk, I would say it's AMW

Clinical paranoia
Paranoia refers mainly to persistent, excessive or unfounded beliefs that other people intend to harm, deceive, monitor, persecute, or exploit you.
Common characteristics include:

  • Strong suspicion or distrust of others
  • Interpreting neutral events as having a threatening or personal meaning
  • Believing others are talking about, watching, following, or plotting against you
  • Being highly alert to possible threats
  • Difficulty being reassured by contrary evidence
  • Feeling unsafe or defensive because of these beliefs
Paranoid thinking can occur in several conditions, including psychotic disorders, severe mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, substance-induced states, and sometimes severe sleep deprivation.

Meghan could sit next to KC3 for the Xmas day speech, with a link to coordinated merch, printed coasters, matching monogram jam spoons etc. I'm sure the BBC would be full on board

Lumpyarse · 08/09/2026 21:08

I once ran headlong into The Beast with whole motorcade of security behind and back - blue lights, outriders the lot … at Beaconsfield Services J2 on M40 …. It was Trump scooting by MacDonalds en route from Chequers to LHR.

No way . Really? Did he chuck the wrappers out of the window.

Yes I have said that from the start also - and taken along with their announcement that MM will be working from their international bases - I think she is doing a return to sender - ensconcing her delusional, debt ridden, disruptive, chaotic and irrational STBXH back with his family, friends, culture and community. Shes read the runes and is not going to get dragged down with his spirally MH. I think there was even a report that she had raised his fragile MH with his family?

The would be better off lobbying for a round the clock community MH nurse.

Edited

She does have form for moving on swiftly when the family / friend / spouse no longer serves her. Is Elon Musk single at the moment?

If he has , then Harry is ultimately responsible, Chris ship is his creature after all!

Of course we don’t know for sure where the school is and it’s not meant to be disclosed but I did see it discussed on X that the school is a premier Oxford prep school. If this is the case they will soon tire of the school run given the queues of traffic in and out of Oxford at rush hour either end of the day. Depending where they are coming from it’s likely to be an hour each way twice a day!
Good luck with that.

He was probably rushing to retrieve his daughter from the local pub . . . I seem to remember the Camerons accidentally left her there after Sunday lunch?

I’ve a feeling that Meghan may vaguely know Samantha Cameron from the ‘progressive’ Smart Works board, from many years ago. I guess that HaM may want what the Cams have.

Might be worth pointing out here that Harold was flapping his gums about equating enemy kills with video games way back when.

Drugs can cause such paranoia

OMG, we've markled Iceland!

On behalf of my country, I want to apologize. I didn't vote for him - ever:

Aah yes, SC used to have a clothing brand called Cefinn but she shut it down a year or so ago. So I'm not sure whether she's still linked to Smart Works

If he is mentally unwell but he can rock up to random doors early morning with no security

BreadInCaptivity · 08/09/2026 21:30

Time for a little ditty:

There once was an arrogant couple
Whose relationship with truth was quite supple
Their desire to “win”
Put their schemes in the bin
Despite their attempts at rebuttal

So here is a lesson to all
That pride indeed precedes a fall
Good fortune not squandered
Nor dirty laundry publicly laundered
Because as ever, consequences will call

Unfortunately, I think you're right. This isn't logical.
He really needs to get some help and support.
This really sounds like paranoia.
He is not a former Prime Minister. He doesn't understand the first thing about security and it's quite worrying.

He is not a former Prime Minister. He doesn't understand the first thing about security and it's quite worrying.

But that isn't new. Think about how he has always behaved -

publishing his itinerary before travel when unnecessary
lots of media hype before travel
rolling down bulletproof windows in cars (more Meghan)
refusing to stay in secure accommodation when offered
ringing strangers' doorbells
ordering takeaway delivery to a friend's house
making public details about his (and others) security arrangements

I have friends and family whose occupations mean that they genuinely have security concerns.
None of them behaves remotely like this.

Harry's issue is status, not security.
