Just watching Tom Sykes. He made a good point. "You were winning Harry. You and kids had meeting with KC in July. You moved back to UK" but you blew it. On the day the future king, your nephew starts in Eton"

How is it "winning" for Harry if his kids meet their grandfather for an hour? Such a meeting has no meaning for anyone other than those individuals. People like Tom Sykes are the ones who need to read the King's letter carefully: Harry and Meghan are not working royals, hence the King meeting with them and the kids does not mean that Harry has "won" a place for himself as a working royal.

@AustenitesUnite
Harry and Meghan are not working royals so why are posters on this thread getting themselves into such a state about them?
They are living their lives outside the institution . If people genuinely are uninterested they can simply stop discussing them
Why not spend time on the thread about Prince George at Eton ?

Have you told H and M they are not working Royals? It’s not that long ago that H told an interviewer that he is indeed a WR .
There have been so many leaks and PR spins since they announced The Big Return including one “ source” saying H and M had got their HiHO .
What happened to Project Thaw ?

OlympicWomen · 08/09/2026 18:47

Mylovelygreendress · 08/09/2026 18:43

I am fully expecting another interview quite soon . Probably Chris Ship .

Oh, yes please! Let's hope this time Harry understands the questions and is aware of where he is.
We can hope! 🤞🏼

Crikey, could this be a PR line or just a sugars sweet views?

Also thanks for new thread! It's running away from me at the moment

You are welcome….😁

I think "The Bench" and "Spare" should be put together in one enjoyable volume!
Order now for Christmas!

If reports are accurate then it wasn’t even an hour plus H saw KC on his own at first hence M being humiliated and sidelined .

I think he meant it as, after all the shit H flung at his family, he's lucky to get within a mile of his father and family

Yes , 47 minutes seems to be the magic number! And 20 of those apparently were just Charles , Camilla and Harry!! Groundbreaking stuff.

Have you seen the unkind comments on there? Particularly nasty one about George was deleted!

I didn’t go to that thread because I don’t read or comment on threads about things I have no interest in
That’s rather my point . If someone isn’t interested in the Sussexes or finds them ‘irrelevant’ there isn’t any need to read or participate in threads about them
There are plenty of threads on MN to choose from

But you are aware that everyone here is interested in discussing the hams pr strategy, so I’m confused as to your comment?
and I would ask why you are here too if it’s not interesting to you.
im hoping you have not arrived to add friction to the thread.

This latest behaviour is why these PR disaster threads have been running for so long with no sign of running out of steam. I’ve been here lurking since thread 1 and their publicity is the gift that keeps giving.

I felt fairly ambivalent towards them initially but am absolutely astonished at how they keep scoring own goals, with their own PR mistakes.

They reveal so much about themselves with each petulant clapback or nonsensical planted story.

No other celebrities that I can think of are so open with their personalities while pretending to crave privacy and with such a pretentious view of their place in the world.

It’s absolutely fascinating to watch and quite incredible that such public figures are making such a public mess of things and all by their own hands.

noonames · 08/09/2026 19:00

I have missed a few of these threads - has there been any explanation from H+M about why they have moved back? It seems such an about turn from everything they have said previously - it’s not safe, it would be impossible for the children to go to school here, the UK is racist, the family should apologise, Harry dislikes the UK, living here made Meghan mentally ill, privacy impossible because of the tabloids, establishment out to get them, they loved their life in USA, the era of joy etc etc. I can’t fathom the 180° turn 🤷‍♀️

I can't speak for every PP on this thread, obviously, but I follow issues pertaining to a variety of royal issues, both here and abroad.

You will see that I am also on the threads about Prince George starting Eton, King Harald's funeral and, especially, the Royal facts and stories thread which has covered a huge amount of diverse topics from how haemophilia was passed through Queen Victoria's blood line, tiaras worn by European princesses and the four Royal babies who were born between February & May 1964

I have recognised a few posters from this thread who have also posted on other RF threads so I am not alone in following a broad spectrum of interest in various royal topics. Indeed, many of them are exceptionally knowledgeable and can, within seconds, produce a post detailing complicated relationships between various royals or the provenance of a particular tiara

The fascination with the Sussexes, for me, is that they are consistently inconsistent in their actions. Not so long ago, PH stated that he could never imagine a circumstance under which he could return with his wife and children. Yet, here they are . . .

So, yes, I will follow what's going on with them because we never know from one day to the next what they will say or do

But I'm also interested in the Norwegian RF and all the issues they are currently facing

And how all the young Crown Princesses of Europe are being trained for their roles

And so much more

If you have only looked at this thread you may have felt that we are endlessly and exclusively discussing the Sussexes. But that simply ain't true . . . .

noonames · 08/09/2026 19:04

Plus it is so weird that they didn’t tell Charles when they saw him that they were coming back - what’s that about? And then complaining that they didn’t receive sufficient notice of the statement which contained nothing they didn’t know already 🤔

I have no idea why they act the way they do. They're so impulsive, it's bizarre.

I think she takes it on the chin. It's RF fault. They are threatened by HAM, blah, blah. It's more fodder for their next freedom flight documentary

Lampzade · 08/09/2026 19:10

@jeffgoldblum I have not come to create friction on this thread .
I have responded to points being made and explained my position without being rude to anyone
If simply expressing a different opinion is adding ‘friction’ then perhaps the problem is not with my tone but with the fact that my opinion is different

Everything you say here. It’s why the papers love them. They are almost trolling us at this stage… It’s click bait there for the taking!

One does wonder how H&M life would have played out if they had indeed tried to live as private citizens. A quiet home in Canada.

No Oprah, no Spare, no Netflix, no jam, no quasi-royal tours. No Fashion Week. Just concentrating on Invictus, charity endeavours.

Commercialising their titles as the Queen had asked them not to… It’s brought them nothing but trouble. They’re neither Royal nor A-List…

Or if they had stayed in the Royal Family. Meghan would actually be hob-nobbing in the Bigtime. Now she’s back to square one again.

A heartless way to treat a man who has been treated for cancer - but then again look how they treat her father who is in poor health too
