It is inevitable that Harry must have some security but C and W are internationsl
propected persons and that is determined by international treaty. Harry will never be an IPP

I think Meg sang, the seals erupted in spontaneous applause and that's how H knew she was the one. Or at least that was what he spouted in Spare.

Oh dear lord

Starts to build a wall resembling Hadrian's, just a few miles further south ...

Harry's only a Prince of England though, he probably doesn't know where Scotland is.
Mind, I'll be along in a bit to give you a wee hand.

This clap back made me LOL … me thinks they had ideas that have been shafted! And the hilarity that THEY should have been consulted … the extraordinarily thicko dimwits really think they’re sliming their way back in to their half in half out bollox 🤣🤣🤣

Well …his friends did say he had HIHO and the WhatsApp group have been briefing about project “thaw” and his security being “nailed on” , you can see why he’d be confused and upset! , the poor poppet has never been denied what he wanted before!

Of course he does, he visited Balmoral
on many occasions and had a well
publicised argument about his wife not joining him last time.

George has an easy confidence that William never had -stability in his life methinks.

Yes, that looks like a young person secure in their family and their parents' love, without having to worry about them arguing, briefing against one another or throwing themselves down the stairs. I do think William projected assurance when young but we have to now ask at what cost, given that was going on in the background.

I'm not quite sure how I've missed this story so I googled it . . .

"Harry tried singing first with little success, but when Meghan joined in, seals reportedly poked their heads out of the water and responded to her voice. Captivated by the moment, Harry recalled thinking his wife “really is magic,” as noted by the Telegraph. Feeling buoyant, Harry stripped and jumped into the water, though a castle chef later scolded him, warning that the area was populated by killer whales and that singing to seals was dangerous. The couple later attributed a positive omen to the selkies when Meghan discovered she was pregnant shortly after their return"

Yes but he gets in a plane and then the doors open and...he's in Scotland! Magic!

It stupidly hadn't occurred to me, before reading Richard Kay's article, that the timing coincided with the anniversary of the late Queen's death.

Of course it did - the monarchy does symbolism around continuity very well.

It also puts to rest the recent spin that Sir Clive Alderton's retirement from 20 years of service in a demanding post is because the King was planning for a Sussex return.

Yes it does! , I never believed this project thaw rhubarb either, there was no evidence of it that I could see other than the opinions of royal reporters who don’t seem to have anymore insider knowledge than me , you or anyone else on this board!

Watching the footage of George arriving at Eton and contrasting it with William turning up with his parents and Harry, it occurred to me that Charles and Diana really did Harry a disservice. Diana is on record as treating the boys equally and it obviously hasn't helped Harry understand royal hierachy.

I think it was…possibly after he helped himself to the magic mushrooms in her fridge!! ( I’m sure she was delighted at being outed! And this by no means is the reason she hasn’t so much as talked to him since!)

I suspect the basis for the 'Project Thaw' stuff, @jeffgoldblum, is that there are Labour politicians who appreciate the Sussexes as disruptors and a problem for the monarchy, and are therefore very happy to have them back in the UK as public figures, so were working with that aim in mind.

Where I think Richard Eden went wrong is that he assumed KC3 would go along with it for family reasons.

Oh my. I haven’t read Spare and although I have seen references to Meghan singing to the seals before this far exceeds expectations!

People have said that ghost writer had difficulties dealing with Harry. Surely not? Surely he just sat down and wrote a work of fiction punctuated with the occasional well known fact such as Diana’s death?
“Faction” is the genre isn’t it?
Give it a few decades and it will be in the historical novel section.

You could well be right ! , however although we have a constitutional monarchy, no government can order the king in matters of family reconciliation.

It was interesting to see Project Thaw pushed in the press and on social media. I was always skeptical and it's nice to be proved right for once.

You are forgetting that Windsor men age like milk, and (hopefully!) George won't be king for around 40 years.
May he find honourable ways of filling that time.

I think the Middletons genes are dominant here. He’ll age like fine wine!
