I wonder who took those photos at Skippy's wedding. She certainly had a mean girl, hands off my man vibe about her. I liked that dress though.

Apparently she turned up uninvited, at a wedding in Jamaica after Harry had dumped her. All Harry's friends were teasing him about it and laughing at her.
If the account is true then it is extraordinary behaviour. Bunny boiler level.
Also explains why she didn't like his friends!

A spokesman for them apparently said “this is not something we would comment on”. So how have the BBC found out then! Looks like more leakiness 😆

I didn't know he'd dumped her. I understood she'd threatened to dump him if he didn't go public with their relationship. I think I read that in Tom Bower's book.

This is what riles me; nobody ever questions him deeply on his behaviour or the stuff he has written or said. Its always fucking puff pieces and shmoozing like he is part of some sacred caste of people who are never held accountable.

The news has just popped up on my phone ... I've been dubious about whether they'd come at all, but if the BBC have got it right I'll have to believe it now

Let the chaos commence, and yes, the people I feel most sorry for are W&K
I'm well aware that most of what we see of the RF is a carefully curated image, but at least they've maintained a good one and they don't deserve this

It won't be long before we find out which schools they are enrolled in. Then there will be a media circus .

Can someone talk me through the "separation" narrative as I'm not getting it - or at least, getting what's in it for Meghan.

Nobody knew who she was before she started seeing Prince Harry. She was a supporting character in a TV show which was just one among many and which most people here didn't watch. The most watched shows of the 2010s were things like the Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead. Her whole "thing" since marriage has been "I'm a Duchess, I'm Royal, my husband the Prince, my kids the Prince and Princess" stuff.

So Harry moved back here with the kids, they pretend for a while all is well and she distances herself, before eventually separating with her in Montecito and him and the kids here. Where does that leave her? Her "i'm a duchess" schtick is redundant. She is without her kids - whatever you think of her she does appear to be a devoted mum.

I just don't get it. Surely it'd be more in her interests to stay in the US with her children and live there, let Harry travel back and forwards to see them? Maybe there was a pre-nup?

Baital · Yesterday 12:41

Start spreading the news
They're leaving today
They want to be a part of it...

Etc 😉

Some of photos seem to have been taken from a boat eg those where M is on the beach but some of the ones where they are at the table are very good quality so perhaps not taken with a long lens?

This page has a wide selection of them. What strikes me is how few smiles are photographed. It’s a wedding not a funeral but H is only smiling at other guests, never at M and she is barely smiling at all. Not even at the bride on the beach. It doesn’t look like a harmonious couple enjoying a celebration.

Maybe she likes the image of motherhood rather than the reality. And children get in the way if you are looking for the next Mr Right.

I think its the British Education she and/or him are after.

I don't believe the Sussexes have any awareness of how careful they need to be if they live here. The King and Queen and the Waleses are not the people they left behind 6 years ago. They have coped with a lot of stress and difficult PR situations and come out with improved popularity.

If they are sensible the Sussexes will either keep under the radar or apologise to the family and exude gratitude out of every pore. If they couldn't win their self imposed PR war from the US they have no chance here, particularly as no one is engaging in it except them.

Never complain and never explain, greyy rocking for the long term win.

Or maybe the accent? Education was never that important to Harry, who is not overly blessed in the intellect department.

canklesmctacotits · Yesterday 12:55

They won’t separate/divorce unless Harry makes her leave him by eg having a very public affair and humiliating her. (Which, let’s face it, would run in the family.) She has gained so much by being his girlfriend and wife, no WAY is she going back to where she was before.

I just wonder what she’s going to do all day in Montecito. She seems to get invited to some cloak stuff but never top tier stuff; she has a handful of newly acquired friends; she has a pathetic online business selling jam but won’t have children she can use as props any more; she’s been blacklisted by two entertainment companies so she’s never going to get the best gifs there. She’s got to do something all day to justify not being with her children. Pretty sure the justification between her and Harry is “I’m never going back there but you’re free to do whatever you want”, but that won’t cut it in public given her “the most important title I’ll ever have is Mom”. Even if she tries to spin “we’re so modern, I’m earning for my babies while he does the school run” everyone will see through it as (1) she’s making no money (2) everyone knows he’s still the one that attracts money (3) she has nothing to sell other than being his wife, and if she’s not even living with him anymore that’s an even tougher sell.

I think we’ll see her SM feed getting more and more intense with images of togetherness, her being wit her children etc.

I didn't know he'd dumped her. I understood she'd threatened to dump him if he didn't go public with their relationship. I think I read that in Tom Bower's book.

At one point, KC (or PC as he was then) apparently had her packed onto a plane back to the US.

A member of the staff at Heathrow who accompanied her to the plane told a newspaper journalist he'd asked her how her visit to London had gone, and her reply was, "Not too well."

MidlyConcerned · Yesterday 13:03

StrawberryWasp · Yesterday 10:33

I can imagine a scenario for Harry where he's based in the cotswolds bringing up the kids, with help from well adjusted nannies, and he could quietly establish some local friendships and feel he has a community.
He keeps the kids off social media and stops leaking to the press.

He and the kids build a private relationship with Charles.

Kids see Meghan when she flies in on a break from elevating fruit platters and the kids and Harry go out to california during school holidays.

They do this for 10years pretending it's a modern mutually supportive relationship and then eventually announce a separation.

Do you think he would be able to do that though! He’s not renowned for being able to STFU!!

I also think what people forget in the whole scenario is that what we saw was the Sussexes' public behaviour.

If that behaviour was so horrendous, can you imagine what the private family behaviour was like? Over several years? Everyone in that family is going to be exceedingly cautious.

I keep wondering what M was hinting at when she gave us an exciting glimpse of her picking apples . . . .

Is she going to use her experience of jam-making to branch out into other preserves and produce an As Ever Chutney? Because, honestly, that's what we all need right now. There were only 40 - 50 different chutneys in my garden centre last week . . . .

Or is she going to show us all, step by monotonous step, how to create a Cotswold Ploughman's Plate, artfully arranging hand-cut slices of artisan bread, cheese & apples in an arc and sprinkling them with flower petals, just like the ploughmen of yore did every lunchtime

Perhaps she will produce a new dessert, Sussex Apple Tart, sharp-tasting with an unpleasant aftertaste that lingers for a long time

Or is she hinting at The Big Apple and she's going to take New York by storm although I think the Sussex's upset a few people there a while back with a story about a car chase

Nah - she's launching "spiced apple butter" - what ever that is??

It looks really unappetising (like 💩)
