Am I the only one thinking there is no chance of a divorce? What’s in it for Meghan? No, she’ll be here large as life.

An obscene payoff??

DancingFerret · Yesterday 10:07

Rewinding for a moment, I think this photo from Skippy's wedding sums up their whole relationship. She's controlled him every step of the way to the extent it's hard to see he'll be returning to the UK without her as some newspaper commentators seem to be suggesting.

Just musing, so please don't shout at me: I think drugs could have played a bigger part in Harry's life than we know. She recognised his dependence and became his enabler, no blame, no attempts to get him into rehab - just total control of her ticket to fame and fortune.

Not being married to Harry?

I can imagine a scenario for Harry where he's based in the cotswolds bringing up the kids, with help from well adjusted nannies, and he could quietly establish some local friendships and feel he has a community.
He keeps the kids off social media and stops leaking to the press.

He and the kids build a private relationship with Charles.

Kids see Meghan when she flies in on a break from elevating fruit platters and the kids and Harry go out to california during school holidays.

They do this for 10years pretending it's a modern mutually supportive relationship and then eventually announce a separation.

H will throw meg under the bus if they divorce. He's a nasty prick, particularly towards women. Meg is a toxic, narcissist but I will be uncomfortable with her portrayed as the villian of the piece and "poor, loveable rogue Harry", which IMO, he is not.

also, post divorce. The RF would be absolutely insane up let him back

I wonder who took those photos at Skippy's wedding. She certainly had a mean girl, hands off my man vibe about her. I liked that dress though.

I'm expecting a clap back soon about their great love.

I agree with you - and I get frustrated when people ignore his entire adult record and hark back over and over again to the young lad following his mother’s coffin.

He has never struck me as a kind person - I hated the nastiness in (the bit I read of) Spare where he’s so cruel about the disabled matron. It made a huge impact on me, coming from someone who is asking for understanding and empathy and pretending to care about mental health. If challenged, which of course he never was, I’m sure he be wide-eyed and genuinely baffled to hear that someone else’s feelings matter as well as his.

Just been catching up. Thanks for the new thread @BigWillyLittleTodger

It's going to be a hell of a culture shock for those children, with the nights fast drawing in and Autumn predicted to be very wet and stormy thanks to El Niño .
Long days in wrap around care at school, home to nanny/Harry. Bedtime story read by Meghan over FaceTime.

She'll have plenty of time to write those daily emails to them. Imagine getting that lot when you are 18. I personally doubt I would read very many of them. Maybe I'd pay a pa to do it and pick out the good ones. 😉

I wonder how Harry is planning to pick up with old friends - as discussed on the last thread there are quite a few who, I think, we can be sure will be distancing themselves. A lot of that type of socialising seems to happen in private at dinner parties and shooting weekends. How will he wrangle invitations? Especially if it is during one of Meghan's visits. He doesn't seem like someone who really puts much effort into his social life, he won't be organising kitchen suppers and play dates for the kids. I think the children will still be living quite isolated lives. How many parents will want to invite them over or send their children to play (NDA signed first?).

Nobody will or indeed she not trust Harry, especially if they are high profile or in the public eye as they will be spoken / written about when he's shilling his next interview/book, etc.

StrawberryWasp · Yesterday 11:17

I think he Harry is an entitled ignorant self absorbed nasty piece of work BUT before he met Meghan he was able to allow the MIGS to manage his image and decisions.
He if could revert to accepting advice from reasonable advisors and step off the HAM ego circus, he could be helped to establish a life for himself.

Not saying he deserves it but there is a way it could be done.

Some of photos seem to have been taken from a boat eg those where M is on the beach but some of the ones where they are at the table are very good quality so perhaps not taken with a long lens?

This page has a wide selection of them. What strikes me is how few smiles are photographed. It’s a wedding not a funeral but H is only smiling at other guests, never at M and she is barely smiling at all. Not even at the bride on the beach. It doesn’t look like a harmonious couple enjoying a celebration.

Thanks for the photos. The only time when Meghan is not putting on the charm is when she is speaking to the waiter.

Edited

"Each time someone came up to Harry, Meghan stood up at the table to greet the friend as well. She was holding Harry's hand or rubbing his back as he spoke to his friends and she seemed comfortable.""

The possessive hands on started early didn't it. Is there any evidence she was like that previously eg with Trevor?

How are they going to manage without a hand to hold going forward?

I'm zero tolerance on drugs, @ShamedBySiri so there's no way my DC (and now grandchildren) would have been / would be going anywhere near that house. I'm with @DancingFerret on the drug consumption suspicions. Harry says himself that he kicked off his long narcotic career at the age of 13. You only have to look at him now at 41, and scrutinise some of his hyper, boggle-eyed behaviour in public, to see that this is possibly not a sober man we're dealing with.

He's also known to have been violent from photographs and recorded accounts. He has also been seen to behave in an weirdly inappropriate sexualised way. All the things we've discussed on these threads. It makes me feel deeply uncomfortable.

An NDA would be the last thing I'd be signing regarding this man.

Yes, I can imagine that potentially - once he's surrounded by MIGS scaffolding, nannies and good schools for the kids, and carefully managed charity work, then his image/life could be rehabilitated.

Aided of course by everyone blaming Meghan for everything (unfairly, because - while she is no doubt responsible for a lot - Harry is also very much a nasty piece of shit).

A life in the UK under those circumstances, with Meghan phoning in a bit of parenting now and then, might actually be the best and most stable option available for the kids. They would have a network of support and continuity, rather than just two isolated, volatile and selfish parents who are constantly busy trying (and failing) to make a superstar life out of nothing.

AtIusvue · Yesterday 11:50

So I’m guessing this is the end of the kids appearing on SM? If Harry is now full time dad with Meg…somewhere else.

Or maybe she’s allowed to take pics when they are visiting her in Portugal/California, so there will be photo dumps every school holiday.

I'd love to see her face in this photo

Her face at the woman in the brown and cream dress, too. Let alone the poor old waiter!

Was this the wedding that she just rocked up at uninvited, or am I mistaken?

That's the one. Harry had supposedly dumped her, but she wasn't going to let go that easily.

In reality Diana didn't spend a great deal of time with her children and her decisions were not child centred, but can you imagine saying that in the 90s when the narrative was that Diana was an excellent mother?

She was considered a terrible mother in the 90s until her death when the nation collectively acquired a guilty conscience for having been slagging her off and lapping up the soap story of her life that she encouraged to be played out in the tabloids.
