When they come back should we just judge them by their future behaviour, not the past and try to be positive.

After the events of the last few days with Jason Arday it might help the RF if the media and social media allowed them to get on with things in a positive way. Frankly the only person who should be aggrieved is the Princess of Wales and maybe the King but he clearly want peace now what with his illness.

Let’s see if they can be positive and an asset to the UK and the RF.

I will welcome them, and give them a clean sheet, and let them start over if - as some posters have said - they apologise for their behaviour, and accusing the British of being racist. Britain is NOT a racist country, and it pisses me off when some people say it is.

They also need to live their lives as quietly as possible, be polite and courteous and not keep blabbing to the press and fecking sueing people!!!

I think most people are OK with them returning, as I believe many people loved Harry - before he married Meghan and buggared off to another continenent and spent 5-6 years badmouthing his family and the whole of the UK! And I think some people liked her at first...

So yeah, they can come back, but they have a lot of making up to do to win the UK public back, and get back into our good books.... They don't get to pretend they didn't behave appallingly, and they can start their journey to forgiveness from the UK by apologising for their behaviour over the past 6 years....

No! I think they have a lot of brass neck even coming back, they were savage, manipulative, made QE2 life hell and are both entitled clowns. Also they’re just going to carry on the same way because leopards don’t change their spots.

If Charles dies in the next 5 years then the heir to the throne will be a minor, Prince George, and maybe Harry sees himself as the senior advisor to George as he will be the next adult in the line of succession. These two never do anything for no reason and once they're here William would find it more difficult to remove him from the l of s .

Not sure why they need a clean sheet as they’ve done nothing wrong. I read Spare and couldn’t see anything scandalous in it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can’t believe you actually mentioned Jason Arday in this. Yes he was Autistic. But he was also another fantasist, perhaps even a liar in the real sense also. Was he hounded to his death ? No. He was unwell and I sadly suspect his death would always have been down to suicide.

My opinion of them is based solely on their comments on the Oprah interview.

In that interview, she announced they'd married a couple of days before the Windsor ceremony. He agreed, and I found myself asking what was all the fanfare about if that was true. That one statement put the Archbishop of Canterbury in a difficult position where he had to refute it.

In short, their inferences traduced my nation, labelling us all as racist and spiteful as well as mugs who forked out in excess of £30 million for their 'second' wedding.

I disliked the airing of family secrets (aka dirty laundry) which I still feel he would have been wiser to have kept private.

I don't know them, have never met them and so although I wouldn't demean myself to actively boo them, I have almost no interest in what they do or where they go.

Honestly, I think the only way they can ever change the narrative around them is to just shut up. Stop complaining incessantly about every little thing (sometimes the press will embellish/lie - they don't need to respond to every single falsehood); don't make drama out of nothing (the "high-speed" car chase in Manhattan) and just live quiet, happy lives.

I genuinely believe that Meghan was treated badly when she came - but I also think that was more social media than the actual press, and definitely the public, who cheered loudly for her. I think if they just turned their phones off and stopped monitoring everything, they would be much happier - Harry's own book pretty much confirmed every negative story about them was true.

I can understand why they are returning. I suspect America is not a great place to live at the moment, and they are both significant targets, which is why I've never understood the narrative they were safer living there and safer visiting Columbia and Ukraine than visiting the UK.

But I also think theres significant truth in needing to make amends now, before Wiliam becomes King, because you know damn well he won't have anything to do with them. When the queen was alive and with the power, everything was Charles' fault. As soon as he took the throne, that all shifted to William.

Where I think their behaviour was despicable was doing the Oprah interview, publicly claiming that they were racist for not giving the kids titles, despite KNOWING the letters patent would be relevant, and then Harry claiming he never said that in the interview with ITV years later. I think the way they treated Charles with the plane incident when the Queen was literally dying is something that can't be forgiven, let alone the accidental 'leaking' of C&C names to Omid Scobie with the book....

It's really very important for them to be royal.

Saying he was ‘ hounded to death’ by the press is a bit of a joke, isn’t it. It would be funny, if it didn’t by inference minimise all the endurance by all the individuals who have been hounded by the press and carried on existing, and being true to themselves.

I think @JudgeJ's point was that when Charles dies, William becomes King, which makes George the heir to the throne.

If Charles does pass away in the next 2-3 years, George would be the heir while still being a minor.

So you are OK with a man with minimal education who can't manage his personal or charity finances, who loses to lawsuits at the drop of a hat, serving as an advisor to the minor heir to the throne when George has his father, Anne, Edward, and loads more qualified people to advise him.

We elected someone who I felt was unqualified twice, who chose bad advisors, and our economy has gone to shit and we are embroiled in a unnecessary war. The people who elected him are finding out that the food banks are running out of food in the middle of the month, they have no help after natural disasters, nuns wearing their religious habits are arrested on the streets on the way to Sunday mass. Oh, crops are rotting in the fields because there is no one to pick them. Go ahead, follow our model. Bring in incompetents to run your country.

They've made it clear that they dislike the UK and think it's racist and unsafe for them so why come back? I was glad they left and seemed happy in the US and we in the UK could largely ignore them. No chance of that now.

People are judged on the.things they say and the things they do. H&M have told countless lies and behaved abominably. I suspect they will be judged on that behaviour until their behaviour changes. Only a couple of months ago they went on a fake royal tour. They wanted out of the Royal Family and out they are. Except they still want and expect to be treated like royals. I suspect King Charles may not have many years left. Once William is king he may choose to strip the Sussex titles and the Prince and Princess titles by issuing a new letters patent to draw in line with European royals.
