Just read the latest Naughty But Nice blog, which basically says the move is a marriage rescue as Harry is deeply unhappy in California and Meghan doesn't want to lose him. 🤔

Because he is her USP. Meg thought she was the big kahuna. The hot girl and he was lucky to have her. She knows she needs to hang onto him for a bit longer

I can't think of any statement William can release that would be of benefit to anyone, least of all him. The tabloids will still write speculative articles, social media commentators will continue to make things up, discussion forums will repeat whichever side they agree with, the media will continue to fan the flames. The amount of rubbish I've seen in the past two days about what "William thinks of "William feels", all of it contradictory and all of it based on nothing, is mind blowing. The idea that a statement would stem that tide is wishful thinking.

Far better to carry on letting his actions speak for themselves and for the actions of others to do likewise.

Yes effectively a ‘Reconciliations May Vary’ statement ….

A carefully worded "forgive but not forget" from William would explain very nicely that HaM and their children will never be back in the royal fold. Surely no one could argue with that.
They are untrustworthy and, blood relatives or not, the royal family simply can't risk being in their close proximity without all their private information being released for public consumption.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · Yesterday 18:01

Forgive but not forget would look petty.

Recollections May Vary is genuinely one of the best replies I have ever seen- it says so much without admitting to anything.

Agree. Continue the saying nothing policy. If he makes one statement, then it'll be expected every time they do and say something eyebrow-raising which could be every half an hour at this rate.

The King has already made it clear, several times, that there is no place for the Sussexes as working royals. This isn't something the Heir should comment on.

Agreed.
This reflects the BBC bias more than anything else.
I miss the days when they just reported facts.

I know, ‘rival courts’ my fucking arse Grin Who writes this codswallop?

Harry hasn’t got the money to run a rival gift shop at this point, let alone a ‘court’.

He’ll do what he’s told, shut up, let Meghan let the MIGS to do their job in helping her save face before she pisses back off, and he’ll need to play nicely with a few mea culpas. Starting with Sentebale.

I agree. Continue greyrocking. Making a 'statement' would be basically saying that family relationships are a legitimate matter for public discussion, and that's not something the royals want to encourage. The Sussexes are not part of the 'business' of the royal family, and haven't been for years. No need for any 'statements'.

AutumnCrowsWhatsAppGroup · Yesterday 18:11

Starryfifty · Yesterday 16:08

There is no acting role. If her small cameo role in personal friends movie (I think that's what it was called) ended up on the cutting role floor. So absurd

This ‘acting job’ is such bollocks. It’s some face-saving stuff spouted by Brontay MakesStuffUp from the Australian Royal gossip scene.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · Yesterday 18:12

I proper laughed at this @AutumnCrowsWhatsAppGroup 😂

Baital · Yesterday 18:12

I agree, there's nothing to be gained by William (or KC3) in making a statement. There's nothing new to say, and it won't stop all the speculation.

I think the words "could" should be banned from serious journalists for headlines.

"Meghan could return to acting". Yes she could. She could also not. That's not any information. She could decide to go to the moon, write a concerto, take up naked baseball playing...
All it is is someone speculating which is gossip not news.

jeffgoldblum · Yesterday 18:18

This has just been posted on sm !
no idea if it’s true but it seems like something they would do.

It is interesting that about 5 weeks ago there was some blind gossip on one of the US sites that Harry had signed over the Montecito mansion to Meghan and renounced all interest in the house.

At the time there was speculation that Harry was attempting to evade the ANL costs by being "broke" and having no assets.

However - I wonder now if it was the start of a long term "conscious uncoupling". Meghan gets the house profits while Harry gets to return with the kids to the UK (possibly with schooling paid and an allowance from dad) while Meghan works on her own projects, spends more time in LA and eventually they divorce.

I wonder what happened to the money in Archewell? - that has gone very quiet. Wasn't there about £7-8 million that was supposed to be transferred to the new "philanthropy" organisation from the Foundation?

Starryfifty · Yesterday 18:22

We all know what happens when H doesn't get his way. Wanted HIHO. Didn't get it. We then had OW, Spare, various hissy fits. Security, bbc interview and claims the RF wanted him dead is such nonsense. H is NOT a learner. He wants adjancy to the Wales. This is the big money ticket. There will be a slew of "hamlets looking forward to nurturing a lovely relationship with their cousins, etc" then its mean old Willie. A statement will have to come out then

InspectorDefect · Yesterday 18:28

Reading this, I really think their best bet at this juncture is to go and live near The Spencers and maybe they can integrate them back into society. She needs to just chill out, keep her head down, keep out of sight for a while, stop trying so hard. Let him go and visit people without her, so he can remind people who he was before all this. I know there we are then but I really think a low key approach for them with a bit of guidance from CS and his apparently lovely wife could help them.

I think a "despite the untruths and hurt caused...." statement sounds an excellent idea. Not only would it be factual and appropriate, it would drive H and M to distraction with impotent rage

Yes, I think, for a change, William has a lot of power here. He’s the heir to the throne, whether Charles and Harry like it or not. He’s in control of the Duchy of Cornwall and serious moolah, whether Charles and Harry like it or not.

What they gonna threaten him with? A stern voice and a sad face?? Bollocks to that. William’s popularity is riding high. People like him.

Meanwhile, Harry’s back grovelling and has clearly been told to shut his gob and pack in the litigation or his debts and settlements won’t be paid off by Pa.

I remember that Blind . I might even have posted it but can’t remember!?
Anyway , clearly something is afoot other than H and M’s desire to have their DC educated in the U.K. .
Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question - if H and M divorce ( which I think is highly likely) can her title be removed whilst he retains his ?

DaisyDooley · Yesterday 18:36

Very very interesting conversation on Kevin O Sullivans Talk Radio show with Nial Gardiner who (I think) is part of the American Heritage Foundation Think Tank group.
He thinks that Harry has left before he’s arrested/kicked out of aAmerican due to lying on his visa application which is a federal offence and carries a sentence of up to 5 yrs. IF he has been found lying it’s likely he would never be allowed in America again. 😳
The feeling in America universally is that everyone must be treated the same with regards to being honest on your visa application.
If they have run out of money, have no friends in high places in the USA and if Harry lied -then we can see why they have run away,

I personally would LOVE to know what came out of Mike Tindalls mouth at the dinner table. He takes no prisoners.
Kev o Sullivan is also saying (as are other ‘sources’) than Anne, Edward &Sophie are furious too. If Anne is furious -and we know she will always side with the monarchy-then I doubt Peter, Zara & Mike will be rushing out the ‘let’s meet up’ messages. I think we will see a very firm ‘Hold the line’ from that side of the family. They spend time with William & Catherine -I don’t think they will be interested at all in re starting anything with Harry.

I think she'd lose the title if she remarried.

I agree however if not ( like SF) woukd she be Meghan , Duchess of Sussex or is there potential for her to lose that even if she stays single ?
