I recall that his older sister had a job in a garden centre. Both seem very unspoilt and down to earth, it appears.

It is quite a pity that HaM modeled themselves on the Yorks vs. the Edinburghs.

HaM really could have had a fantastic life within the family if they had accepted their position in the firm. Edward seems to enjoy interacting with DofE award winners and Sophie raises awareness for good causes. Even with Anne and Tim you have one spouse who works for the firm and another who had a separate career path, and remember M was told she could continue acting but HaM refused as they wanted to hit the ground running.

Well they hit the ground all-right!

Should have added, Meg is unbearably dull for reality TV though 🙄

I did hear but can't remember where that she tried out for MIC. Doing reality TV in the UK seems to be a thing for certain fading US stars like ex Pussy Cat dolls, Destiny's Child etc.

I saw a hilarious Reddit post which described the pair as Unsussexful - I laughed a lot and then thought, no actually what a perfect descriptor for them.

Brilliant! 🤣🤣🤣

Ah yes of course ❤️ I had heard she tried out for that.

I’m fascinated with this “hoping for an Oscar nomination” angle.
They’re just two of 11/12 producers and all they’ve done is a bit of promotion; surely even in the unlikely event it actually won some sort of award, M wouldn’t be the one marching onto the stage to receive it?!

I think she would rugby tackle anyone to get on the stage first, grab the award and launch into a word salad speech.

She would do that fake waving and fanning at her face, looking surprised, say ‘oh my gosh’, do pretend humble for a nanosecond, and then repeatedly congratulate herself while pretending to thank others for ‘loving me so, so much’. And take a surprise call from Mr MyHusband.

And tragically, Ricky Gervais is unlikely to be there at the Western Seaboard Baked Goods Industries Entertainment Awards 2026 to tell her to ‘just take your award and fuck off’.

😂😂😂
Doesn't bear thinking about, especially after the sentabale stage/trophy fiasco.

LaMarschallin · 11/08/2026 21:38

I wouldn't want to get between Meghan and an award and/or microphone.

For a small, niche, indy film - Cookie Queens seems to have had an extraordinary number of different types of producers

"Prince Harry" on the list looks utterly ridiculous. Surely he would look more professional listed as Harry Windsor or, uurgh, Harry Mountbatten-Windsor at a push (although that looks almost as ridiculous as Prince Harry).

Tony Benn gave up his original name and title of Viscount Stansgate to show his commitment to leaving the life of aristocratic privilege that he'd been born into. If Harry was in any way sincere about his 'just call me Harry' moments of posturing, he'd have moved to using a standard surname and no title years ago.

I’d love to see MM and Lisa Vanderpump lock horns

Oh so would I. Lisa VP would demolish her! Grin

Bigcat25 · 12/08/2026 00:33

I thought M was implying that there last name is Sussex now. They might consider MW to be tainted.

Harry's title is Sussex. His surname is (Mountbatten-added in the 70s..? To placate Prince Philip) Windsor.

They seems to have been a phase, like everything else she does.

It was a bit pointless, the press will refer to her as Markle from now until the end of time, as they still call Catherine, Middleton, It's about the algorithm. If she wants name recognition she needs to stick to Markle.

They’re free to call themselves anything they want but MW is their surname whether they like it or not. I refer to her as Meghan Markle because she used that name throughout her first marriage so presumably that is the name she commonly went by, and him as Harry Mountbatten-Windsor because that’s his name.

The titles are ours, they’re on loan from the monarch on behalf of the people and I for one want them back.

Their response to the Sarah Vine article about Istanbul SoHo house and the interview.

“A spokesperson for the Sussexes told News.com.au "Sarah Vine’s extraordinary ability to recall, in remarkable detail, the specifics of an event said to have taken place more than a decade ago is matched only by her extraordinary decision to have kept this supposedly newsworthy account to herself until now."

A clapback but no denial, As ever

Yes. Classic non denial denial. Basically confirms the story is true in my mind.

Also, wasn't Vine recounting anecdotes told to her by someone else? So the clapback about her 'ability to recall' the events is odd. She doesn't claim to have been there herself.

Irememberwhenitwasallfieldsroundhere · 12/08/2026 08:40

It's hilarious that they're about to make a (bigger?) enemy of Sarah Vine after the ANL defeat. Watch this space! 🍿
