So really, a good reason to miss a wedding

Except it was a royal wedding. I don't know about you, but I'd turn up if I had an invite from the Palace!

Edited to add: And all those other famous and important people were also pretty busy, yet somehow managed to squeeze a wedding (of people they had never even met, in many cases!) in to their schedules.

Edited

I would assume that the understudy takes over occasional nights to rest the lead's voice, and that this could be planned to accommodate a one or two night absence - especially for a high profile appearance that would promote the show.

I think Meghan looks lovely in that outfit.

When I first saw MM on Suits many years ago and long before any hint of Harry I thought she was a pretty young woman albeit she was in an undemanding role which added nothing to the plot.

(I was mainly watching for the Louis Litt character, played with enormous talent by Rick Hoffman.)

Following all her assorted nasty and deceitful behaviour all I can see is her inner ugliness and emptiness.

Most particularly that awful video of her ignoring a poor bereaved mother in South Africa in favour of playing to the camera for her best angle revolted me.

Now looking at her image is like looking at a horrible, infected, oozing sore and I really try to avoid it.

She is the living embodiment of handsome is as handsome does.

Scrambledbeans · 09/08/2026 08:34

Lads- I need to apologise for my snark.

I had previously posted re insane manifesting/ blackmail (sp)/ briefing about Harry’s only wish- to be photographed with his father.

Even I am confused about which father he was referring to. But it seems like all the self tapping worked and he got his photographed moments with one of his dads last night.

So again, sincere apologies for suggesting H&M were using the press to manifest their wants, when clearly their top aim (photo with influential dad) has been achieved.

Thedom · 09/08/2026 08:38

God, that video of her all coquettish and giggly is so phony ! She does these clips and I am sure she hires an agency to try to make them go viral, as they are so mundane and dull they would never see the light of day if they were not paying someone to clip and share.

Scrambledbeans · 09/08/2026 08:46

Just so much talk of photos and reconciliation with dad, I forgot to clarify which of his biological or adopted he was talking about.

JSMill · 09/08/2026 08:53

Wtf is she giggling at the men in the kilts?! What exactly is funny?
@RatherhaveacupofteaandabiscuitI agree with you about once you see what is inside a person, it affects how you judge their outside appearance. I can never see MM as a beautiful person.

She does the giggling thing a lot. Maybe it's an American influencer habit? It does come across rather oddly when she appears to be in fits of giggles simply because someone is playing the bagpipes. The clip needs context at the very least.

LaMarschallin · 09/08/2026 09:06

I also don’t understand why "My husband loves bagpipes" is reported as a "quip".
It's not, it's a statement. It's not funny.
I suppose going into helpless peals of laughter all the time shows you're "living your best life" because obviously everything around you is always such fun 🙄

Just letting us know how much she would love to go to Balmoral ! KC etc in kilts , Highland Games , ceilidhs, bagpipe music which her husband ( does he not have a name ??) loves . Allegedly.

JSMill · 09/08/2026 09:19

@LaMarschallinI think you nailed it there.
@MylovelygreendressI think you have a point about their sudden interest in Scotland.

The famous wedding guests were already established superstars who call the shots. The childhood friend had just got her big break (it sounds like). You don't throw a potential career away to go and be a nondescript guest at a massive wedding.

Noseyoldcow · 09/08/2026 09:28

So this Canadian bloke is Harry’s “second father”. But if I recall correctly, in Spare he mentioned some Australian bloke from the farm he worked at as a jackaroo as his “second father” (or was that equerry Mark Dyer? I dunno ). Also in Spare, there was Mike Holding in Africa, another “second father”. So that’s at least 3 fathers he’s got. How many fathers does this privileged twit need?

Sorry - I'm still not buying it. As a PP has pointed out, there would be an understudy who could take over for a few performances. This woman had no lasting connection with Meghan until she married a billionaire and Meghan married a prince, and then suddenly they both remembered they were life long friends. Imagine that!

Edited to add - this woman was not invited. Bet she would have been if she'd married her billionaire husband by then.

Were H&M invited to this billionaire couple’s wedding? I imagine both women have something in common - marrying for money. Although this other woman was much more talented and successful than MM through shear hard world - so I expect that’s why a jealous MM kept out of her way for comparison but reconnected when the marriage to the billionaire happened as this was something she could exploit.

Harry has so many "second fathers" - it's hard to keep track of them all.

I guess David Foster has his uses - I'm pretty sure that he introduced Harry to the Russian oligarch whose lake house in Canada HAM borrowed in 2020 after the "freedom flight"

The hand over the mouth again. " oh my I shouldn't be saying this should I?" why the hell is she laughing ? It's disrespectful but then she has form for this - laughing at runway models, laughing at an autistic singer. Let's not mention the exaggerated curtsey! She has no sense of propriety.

Maybe one of his second fathers could pay his legal bill(s) ?

More about the Lotusland Gala where Martha Stewart was Soecial Guest speaker.
It is off the scale exclusive and the clips of the event are very beautiful.
There is talk that there were lots of dinner parties over the week leading up to the gala and it was one of these that Meghan attended. I’m inclined to believe this as I’m not sure who would invite her to the gala and I don’t believe she has the money to be part of that crowd. And what the hell would she wear? Look at how the guests are dressed! I can’t think of one single outfit Meghan has ever worn that would be appropriate for this event and I can’t see her blagging a suitable designer special.

Someone should wrangle for William to be guest of honour/speaker next year, he can plug Earthshot. Or better still hold an Earthshot event there.
Imagine the burn! 🔥

I’m manifesting for this from now until forever. Altogether now - we can do it!🙏🤞

Is Elton John a second father too? He's a right interfering old fish wife too!

I'm speechless. He was in his thirties yet not capable of looking into retraining? But then he wasn't capable of buying a couch on his own.

Precisely.
It shows how pathetically inept he must be, as an adult, that he can’t stand on his own two feet and decide his career with someone doing everything for him. A most unedifying trait imo.
I actually cannot think of anyone I have ever known who’s so wealthy, takes zero responsibility for anything let alone himself, and with access to limitless resources yet seems to flounder around with no sense of purpose whatsoever.
I honestly can’t see anything attractive about him.

I think that other one might have been Jamie Lowther Pinkerton (?) but he's not really old enough so maybe he was more "another brother"

It's a bit like Tiggy Legge Bourke as she was then, brought in after their mum died to be a "big sister" and more company for them ... maybe a bit odd when they have plenty of other family members who'd surely have filled that role Confused
