A long time lurker, I can finally contribute! I live not a million miles from Highgrove and Gatcombe.

The road isn't normally closed for KC to come back. I've driven down there this morning on my way to Cirencester and it's open.

Princess Anne, Zara, Mike and the children are all visible locally, no one bothers them. I've seen Princess Anne in Tescos twice! My children did summer school with the Tindalls, so I've had a couple of chats pitchside. Totally normal, no security, drive themselves (A few years ago, Mia was having a massive tantrum one morning, Mike picked her up under his arm and strode off, rolled his eyes at me and said 'She's more trouble than a rubgy ball'). They just seem very down to earth. The Philips are similar.

Zara and Anne, by the way, both have the most incredible skin. Apropo of nothing.

Unless they're on official duties, no one round here does any more than a discreet double take. No photos and no fuss.

One of the things that Harry complains about is that his own team don’t have access to police intelligence. So he commissions a report from the people who don’t have access to the intelligence and submits it to those who do?

Obviously it’s not worth the paper it’s written on, and certainly won’t override the considered opinions of better informed professionals. So I guess it must just be a PR exercise, something to leak to the media in the hope that what, nobody will notice the glaringly obvious flaw in his strategy, and public opinion will pressurise RAVEC and/or Charles to give him what he wants? 🤦‍♀️

Back in the day when I was into horses, KC, Wills and Harry also played polo in matches I was at. Very discreet security and they drove themselves, Harry seemed very affable and was always larking around. That smile hasn't been seen for a long time. I had such high hopes for his happiness when they got married, and it's turned into such a shitshow.

Totally agree with the other new poster (sorry, can't recall the name, next door's builders are making such a racket) on the royal family overall, KC, Camilla and so on. I was delighted to see Catherine at Wimbledon yesterday, she's such a superstar and comes over as just so lovely as a person.

From what we see of Princess Anne I would imagine her basket to be full of no fuss food, and she must eat very healthily to be re-wearing clothes older than me!

I'm now just feeling really sorry for H. I know much of it is his own fault. But oh how his life has plummeted.

He looks so sad all the time. I don't want to disparage anyone, but its harder to guess Meghan's feelings as she appears to be always performing.

Compare to the glowing Catherine yesterday at Wimbledon, and life 'IN' doesn't seem so bad. I know there are rumors about C&W's marriage, is it just for face, was she the sensible rather than the love match union? But honestly, whatever the reality that glow shows really happiness and contentment so whatever happens in private it is working for them. Even W seems to be relaxing a little more now, he was always shy and reserved, but now seems to have grown into his role and just looks, happy and content.

I saw this parody last night and it just shows how damaging their constant posting of their kids really is. They really need to re-consider merching their kids now

I think you are right @Starryfifty I think he lives in a fairytale of knights on white chargers - always looking for more. A greater love than anyone before him, a princelier prince. A bigger story I think he is quite immature. And I think he failed to realise that compared to most of us, he is already living the fairy tale of knights and princes and kings.

I wanted to be Elizabeth Bennet, I wanted to marry Mr Darcy (or if I'm honest Prince William! 😂) I wanted to be in those huge romantic stories. But I grew out of it.

I guess I feel sorry for him because something has stopped him from growing up, and he is still trying desperately obtain an unrealistic dream. When he has everything he needs for real happiness.

Very true, @noonames, but if his team had access to such information so would Harry ... and as I've said can you imagine what he'd do with it?

It really doesn't seem sensible for someone so thoroughly indiscreet to be given anything which could compromise others and I've no doubt at all they'll have factored this in
