Also want to pick up on a point from the end of the last thread about PH not actually having any security protection - my understanding that an full assessment accessing international intelligence is security provision and protection even if nothing physical is then allocated if the risk doesnt require 24/7 armed Met police escorts. An analogy might be going to the GP - getting a thorough examination but not being prescribed anything. In that example you have had a bespoke service with full access to medical knowledge and expertise but don’t require medication - you’ve still been supported, assessed, protected etc as per PH when he has his bespoke review. To draw it out further GP might say - go home and rest, pop into the pharmacy etc - equivalent to suggesting PH use royal property which have armed guards as a back up / belt and braces - but every time he has chosen to reject this additional security option - even when he was travelling with his wife in 2022.

I dip into these threads. I am not really a royalist, but not a republican either. As I have become older, I realise that I have a lot of respect in many ways for the soft power that the is afforded by the Royal Family. When QE2 died, I felt weirdly un-anchored, for want of a better term. Not so significantly that it impacted my day to day life, but that she had always been there. There were (sometimes considerable) mis-steps, but it is hard to argue that she did not put her duty and loyalty to her role and the British public and empire before everything else. It is a rather dated viewpoint in many ways, but I think one people either openly or on some level grudgingly respected.

I also am quite fond of King Charles. He spent years waiting to take on the job in his 70s, was lampooned for his beliefs in regard to the environment (ahead of his time) and the Princes Trust has achieved some great things (saying this as someone who has worked with vulnerable people for years).

I am old enough to remember the whole Diana fairy tale marriage, the optics during the marriage, the divorce and the early death. Whilst very sad, there has been a lot of poetic re-imagining over the years! I remain perturbed by those who remain anti Camilla to this day. I think she would be the first member of the Royal Family I would like to join for a drink, and is very good for Charles.

So in summary, I thing the British Royal Family is in quite a good place. I came onto the forum to see if there was any discussion about the DoC just wandering about at Wimbledon today and the joyful photos of Louise graduating with her parents, the Edinburgh's being there to support their daughter. The optics are changing which makes HaMs grandiose behavior even more laughable.

I do not hate Harry and Meghan, but I love cleb gossip. This is where they sit in the world now. They are the gift that keeps on giving. Whilst the slimmed down working royals are championing causes such as osteoporosis, the use of rape as a war crime, early years intervention, domestic violence etc I remain confused as to what they do, except their self proclaimed philanthropy and some half arsed crap about the impact of social media on children. This is whilst posting their children constantly on social media. They really do invite it all the criticism they receive.

This post could have been mine but explained much more eloquently! 💐

Found you all! Wonder what today will bring… surely M can’t let that Wimbledon visit go unchecked?

Another thread!.

I really don't see what Charles can do about Harry and Invictus. It is absolutely nothing to do with him.

Recklessismymiddlename · 03/07/2026 06:19

Thank you @OctopusFriend can’t believe another thread already!

@AnAutumnCrow

I think crises meetings at Invictus HQ, H&M sleepless nights ranting about RAVEC, the King, racist Britain, the non-WhatsApp group journalists. Sherborne not answering Harry’s calls due to being busy ‘washing his hair’

I think Harry (possibly Meghan) are currently in a cloud of pot smoke, and whatever other recreational drug he partakes in, to ease the burden.

AnAutumnCrow · 03/07/2026 06:42

Sophie Chandauka must be feeling even more relieved and vindicated this week that the last she saw of H was him flouncing far away from Sentebale.

She judged it well - the man, the mess and his negative impact - and in a timely manner for the charity. She laid down a blueprint for how to tackle the Sussex PR machine and H. Invictus might do well to take heed.

The defamation court case to come will be very interesting if it goes ahead, now that it’s all coming out about Sussex PR / journalist WhatsApp group(s), at least one run by Sussex employee Liam McGuire. I rather imagine that H and his chum will be advised to settle.

I do hope that Sentebale are asking for disclosure of all the WhatsApp messages to journalists about Sentebale, its staff, the polo matches, money, the Sussexes, and Sophie Chandauka herself.

I can’t wait for this one. Go Sophie - the first person ever to call him on his brutish behaviour and his highly questionable blurred lines between his charitable obligations within tight legislation and his other commercial activities - seems he thinks half in / half out applies to charities and their hard earned donations as well.

This is a great analogy, thank you.
It's frustrating the number of posters who seem to think that he has no security package just because he isn't surrounded by minders.

The 3 Peaks and mingling with the commoners at Wimbledon almost feels like Catherine has been fabulously trolling Meg. If she is, top marks! Great stuff 😁

Starryfifty · 03/07/2026 08:18

I really do hope Sophie C doesn't settle. I think the revelations from that Case would show everyone what a vile, misogynist, racist man H is

Also if anyone was flying in from Portugal a British Airways flight from Faro has just landed at Heathrow.

Surely this happens several times a day....

Catherine has so risen above the vile behaviour of the Sussexes, hasn't she?
Proper class.

Could it just be the King returning from Holyrood week?

That's the most likely explanation.

All very quiet in Portugal or monteshitshow. No Meg training for Mount Everest, no backs of heads of kids on Portugal beach

Yes, I'm a big fan of hers, I do hope she's getting plenty of support with her case against Haz.

MrsFinkelstein · 03/07/2026 10:48

Thanks for the new thread. It's been an entire disaster PR wise for the Sussexes the past 10 days.
