I can't see him coming now tbh and he'll want to avoid tomorrow's verdict, which I suspect he knows already

AnAutumnCrow · Today 13:29

I suspect the judgement must contain a nugget of a critical remark about Harry’s truthfulness, or lack thereof, because he’s behaving like a thwarted obsessive trying to avoid psychological humiliation.

And once again, he’s proving all Sophie Chandauka’s points about his unsuitability as a charity patron and board member.

Starryfifty · Today 13:30

Even if he wins one of 12 or 14 ?? He'll see it as a win

He'll try and spin it as a win, but we all know the truth.

BillyBites · Today 13:40

Well I suppose this vindicates RAVEC’S stipulation that Harry gives 28 days’ notice of his plans before any security can be assessed and granted (if necessary). Can you imagine this sort of chaos every time otherwise?

veryoldwoman · Today 13:41

wasnt there a report that even if he won one he would do a victory speech from wherever he was staying?
maybe it had been determined that such a speech should not be made at the palace?
its a possibility

Yes. I think the telegraph reported that. He was preparing a victory speech and cannot do it outside the court so BP would have been perfect for him

He’s already said that his ‘victory speech’ has been scheduled even if it’s only one win from fourteen.

Wonder if the venue / backdrop of Buckingham Palace would have been handy for PH and the media but a nightmare for RF - even if it was just the fact that PH was known to be staying there and drone shots or old images - the RF doesnt need ‘Sussex Adjacency’ … !!

I doubt the RF would verbalise trying to distance themselves from PH / ANL judgement announcement - but it’s all very handy that PH himself missed the deadline. No one will be logistically challenged - MM and kids arent coming and PH has every time to date chosen a hotel over BP offer - so no biggy.

This week is proving even more entertaining and hysterical that I thought possible - free content from the horses mouth straight to the tabloids for them to churn $$$$$ whilst H&M paint themselves as fools with their own words and actions. Delicious. MM will keep a low profile IMHO - she won’t want to be showered by PH / ANL shitstorm. Although I am also convinced that they would be storyboarding, collecting footage for a ‘the Sussex family return to UK’ pitch for NFs. But, as ever, they’ve blown that one up themselves now as well.

God, yes. The trouble and the expense!

Yes very entertaining! And he hasn’t arrived yet!!! , who knows what further delights we are in store for! 😁

God, yes.
It’s impossible not to laugh at the sheer magnitude of their ineptness.
Pure soap opera.

shockthemonkey · Today 14:00

“as a courtesy to staff and others involved, the Royal Household does require a minimum level of notice”

This is where some of the problem lies. Language.

By the word “courtesy”, Harry hears “optional, and certainly not expected from very special people like me”.

Courtesy is something that comes Harry’s way, it rarely travels in the other direction.

Starryfifty · Today 14:01

It's a complete clusterfuck and all their own doing. It's a pity they won't learn from this.

Aprilfountain · Today 14:11

It's certainly another episode of the HaMdram show! (Love that new phrase lol)

Agree. This is PH flexing - ‘RAVEC wont be on standby 24/7/365 to accommodate my flip-flopping whims but I will push BP to walk on eggshells instead’ - this is the sort of deliberate, manipulative, controlling and disruptive behaviour that tries to exert power over others by creating chaos and uncertainty.

With these type of characters it’s never worth accommodating them and you always have a calm deadline and consistent consequence - no explanations or justification. It’s like managing a toddler - which the RF have done consistently with dignity throughout - no need to get in the way of PH making an absolute tit of himself - let him be the only shouting, pouting and flouncing - give him the whole stage for his pantomime.

I read somewhere that Buck Palace wasn’t suitable for the family because people would be looking in though the windows?!!! Has anyone been able to see through the Buck palace windows? I thought the living quarters had nets over them? Or am I talking rubbish?

This is a great piece by the Telegraph on the logistics of staying at BP – a lot of it is a building site right now.

Precisely, @DJPJ, though I do wish they'd stick to what H&M have said and done rather than some addled hack's version of what they might do

There's no need to convince anyone with sense that the man's a complete tool as he does that all by himself, and watching him do more of it this week will certainly be entertaining

It's just a pity he's good for absolutely nothhing else ...

IIRC the private apartments at BP overlook the 40 acre gardens and not the street

Starryfifty · Today 14:33

I wonder where HAM will go from here now? Another faux royal tour? Is there an appetite for it ?

That is fantastic! In particular:

"Buckingham Palace is not available on lastminute.com."

and
"The King, aged 77 and living with cancer, has engagements and audiences every day this week.
There are no arrangements confirmed yet for any much-talked-about meeting with his son or grandchildren.
On Monday he is at the Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset, meeting military families. He is not expected to wear a helmet as part of proceedings, but may wish to don one nonetheless."
