This almost looks like a job advertisement! , does Harry realise that it looks like he’s canvassing for volunteers? 😬

This is absolutely shocking. Absolute shame on this man

WitlessCheeseEatingPeasant · 02/07/2026 12:02

I can’t think of anyone else who caused this level of public drama. Brooklyn Beckham?

KilkennyCats · 02/07/2026 12:02

Starryfifty · 02/07/2026 11:51

I have a feeling KC and Ravec will bend because of this ffs

I doubt it.

WitlessCheeseEatingPeasant · 02/07/2026 12:04

KilkennyCats · 02/07/2026 12:02

I doubt it.

I also doubt it. KC really has no say and Ravec just can’t make policies based on the imaginings of one person.

bluegreygreen · 02/07/2026 12:08

They won't.

KC has already clearly shown that he does not interfere in things that are not his constitutional remit.
RAVEC consists of professionals who, frankly, will be used to dealing with much more difficult scenarios than Harry.

If I had any power at Birmingham city council, I'd now be ordering a press release to go out saying that given the potential for a terror attack, to protect the safety of local residents and people at the event, they will have to withdraw from hosting the event as they can't put people at risk

Can you imagine Harry's meltdown if they presumed to cancel "his" event? Confused

AFAIK we've not yet seen the full text of this reported security briefing, but UK authorities don't rely on some script paid for by Harry and based on the views of a bunch of grunts better employed in nightclubs - they do the assessments themselves and make a far better job of it, as their excellent record shows

It should be cancelled! But we know that Harry won’t go down quietly without kicking and screaming about his legacy, his birthright, an institutional stitch up , the royal family wants him dead etc….etc…..etc…..
if those in power can not see that he’s lost the plot and is basically having a very public meltdown, when we all can 🤷‍♀️

ShamedBySiri · 02/07/2026 12:11

Apologies if I offended anyone for making a careless comparison to victims of DV, I didn’t mean to make light of the situation many women find themselves in. It was the first thing that popped into my head at news he would have the phone number of a police liaison officer. Obviously the risks and likely police response are entirely different and no, I don’t have sympathy for Harry. It was more that it gave a glimpse of Harry potentially getting a taste of what life is like for the common people, coming up against the brick wall of computer says no and your liaison officer is currently unavailable on sick leave.

Justdancevance · 02/07/2026 12:14

hes trying to suck invictus into his paranoid delusions.

he wants them to demand security on his behalf. Bringing Israel into the games at this point wasn’t a great idea imo

Starryfifty · 02/07/2026 12:14

I'd say KC is praying the whole shitshow is cancelled

jeffgoldblum · 02/07/2026 12:18

I think almost everyone is praying for that at this point!!

jeffgoldblum · 02/07/2026 12:20

Also, this is spiralling behaviour! , it isn’t going to get better, it’s only going to get more and more extreme, the more he doesn’t get his way , the more he’s going to continue until we get to a point where something awful happens.

edit to add , no I have no idea and can’t predict what that awful thing would be.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 02/07/2026 12:21

We know that Harry won’t go down quietly without kicking and screaming about his legacy, his birthright, an institutional stitch up , the royal family wants him dead etc….etc…..etc…..

So true, @jeffgoldblum, but I just wonder how much it matters any more?

Harry carrying on like a toddler is nothing new, so while his histrionics offer some passing entertainment I'm not sure they really have any effect on anything beyond whatever's going on in his head

FWIW I can believe his family may be genuinely worried about the state he's clearly in, but even the RF can only do so much, and it's limited even more by Harry's own narrative that anything which fails to suit is an outright attack

it isn’t going to get better, it’s only going to get more and more extreme, the more he doesn’t get his way , the more he’s going to continue until we get to a point where something awful happens

Edited to add I agree with this too, and that's why I suggested it's unlikely to end well

so true puzzled , I’m afraid for me this has gone beyond fairly amusing entertainment and fully into being unable to look away from a car crash! , I hate to compare but he’s fully into Britney Spears territory now , however being who he is and being a man , I sincerely doubt anyone is going to step in.

I wonder what the mood is in Birmingham and how much awareness there is of IDF participation.

I can't believe the local population are that bothered about the games, and the council must be tearing their hair out thinking about the costs and other burdens. In their shoes I would jump at a plausible reason to pull out. Harry has just gifted them that reason.

ETA: not that I find Harry's own assessment of his threat level that plausible, but if I were running Birmingham City Council, it would suit my purposes to take it very seriously..

But will they?

OctopusFriend · 02/07/2026 12:32

I am going to contact Birmingham Council and ask that they at least cancel the completely unnecessary "year to go" event.

He is basically the boy who cried wolf at this point. As far as i can see the BBC aren't even carrying the story. I don't think he has any grasp of his unimportantance.

Richard Eden writing about how H&M communicate with journalists. No new info but he's making it public that they misled their favoured journalists.

The only thing that changed was that Harry threw his toys out of his pram when the Home Office confirmed that its policy still applied to them.

I'm not sure this is a change! He's been throwing toys out of his pram for so long it's a wonder there's any left.

Mylovelygreendress · 02/07/2026 12:47

OctopusFriend · 02/07/2026 11:59

People think it's too expensive in the current circumstances. Also that "a year to go" is just a Sussex vanity project.

I have a friend who lives in Birmingham and she says people in her circle want the event cancelled and the money spent elsewhere.
Obviously that’s not a representative sample .
I do feel for the veterans in all this as they seem to have been forgotten.
I also feel for A and L . How awful must it be to have a paranoid father who is constantly complaining , arguing etc about security .

OP posts:
Justdancevance · 02/07/2026 12:48

I’m guessing Harry is now lining up an interview from a secret safe location to trash Ravec and his family again.

Chris Ship seems to have drank the Sussex Koolaid, so will probably do it,

OctopusFriend · 29/06/2026 08:49

I can't believe the contrast of Harry's security demands and how the other royals manage to live, even KC and the Wales family.

Harry fought in Afghanistan, there'll be people after him for that.

Harry married a woman of colour, there'll be people after him for that.

Lunde · 02/07/2026 12:50

While Harry is having a hysterical tantrum - Catherine is wandering around the huge crowds at Wimbledon, working in the ticket office, meeting kids from a photography project chatting to people and watching tennis on the outside courts at the back of court 18. (no royal box today it seems)

.... and all with really low key security despite the huge crowds
