Will they stay at Royal Lodge? I really hope it all works out for KC and to see his grandchildren would be lovely.

Harry is wearing a baby blue linen shirt and a black 'Invictus Australia' baseball cap. Meghan is wearing a darker blue and white striped shirt.

Harry and Meghan offered royal accommodation during UK visit

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to visit the UK with their children next month, for the first time since 2022.

it’s so annoying when posts are hidden because they have links in them.

William's Fierce Protection of Staff
In Battle of Brothers, Lacey explains that William regarded palace aides as "colleagues to be cherished". When the joint communications secretary, Jason Knauf, compiled a dossier outlining unacceptable behavior by the Duchess of Sussex, William was reportedly horrified and "went ballistic". Because William had a close, personal relationship with the staff members involved, this discovery caused a major rift with Prince Harry, who initially defended his wife

BigWillyLittleTodger · 04/07/2026 11:20

Seeing as @LipglossAndLies has quoted Robert Lacey

Royal Historian and author Robert Lacey writes that Prince William has a fiery temper, but notes he was uniquely defensive of palace staff. According to Lacey's book Battle of Brothers, William was "instantly furious" when he learned about a "Dossier of Distress" detailing allegations of bullying against Meghan Markle.

I can’t find anything where RL says he loses his temper at staff.

IAmATorturedPoet · 04/07/2026 11:38

Thanks for that @BigWillyLittleTodger

‘Dossier of distress’
Bullying is clearly a red line for William, as it should be for any decent employer. He and Harry had a duty of care to their staff, I’m not in the least bit surprised he went ballistic when he realised that this was being abused by his brother’s wife.

SpiritofaPanda · 04/07/2026 11:52

Don’t we all have a temper to some degree? I know I do. It takes a lot to bring it out, only my brother has really perfected the art of doing so, but when it appears even I know it can be a bit scary. Even my mild-mannered dad has a temper when his family are threatened.

I’m trying really hard and I can’t think of a single person I know who doesn’t have a temper of some kind. Not to say they’re all shouting and raging constantly, but they get annoyed, frustrated, feel threatened or goaded. They all have very different levels of temper too, in different circumstances.

I’m sure I’ve just made it sound like I live surrounded by rage, people shouting and fist waving but I promise I don’t. It’s all pretty quiet around here, the only rage on display that of my puppy having a row with two wayward pigeons who have strayed onto his turf.

Which goes to my point of the poster I was responding to who said William does not have a temper. So at least you agree with me that he does. That was the point I was making. Noone can say he doesn't have one when we know he does as evidenced by his own employees.

For the avoidance of doubt, no I don’t agree with you.

I am saying that the evidence I have seen strongly supports the allegations that Meghan is a bully. The evidence I have seen does not support the allegation that William has a temper, rather that he behaves like a professional, emotionally intelligent human.

I’m grateful to other posters who have reminded me that William’s anger seems to have been provoked at least sometimes BY Meghan’s inappropriate behaviour towards staff. That doesn’t suggest someone with a problematic temper in general, but someone who understands very well the power differential in Royal households and staff and is frustrated when others behave inappropriately.

I really don’t agree with anything you have said.

So your dismissing those staff his employees who have spoke about it. You don't believe them...

I referenced several people i didn't specifically say it was Lacey. TOm Quinn interviewed his employees. Of course you just cherry pick to suit your narrative

You haven’t given any concrete evidence they exist. I searched and found nothing about this.

So please provide names.

Jason Knauf is the name I can provide with respect to the bullying complaints about Harry and Meghan. I do find him highly credible. He helped plan their wedding. He had no axe to grind. He wished them well and says there were many good times.

I have already looked at the provided links and seen nothing to support the claims!
im wondering if the person who posted them actually read them themselves?

That's not cherry picking. It's evidence.
Why don't you provide some?

PoppysAunt · 04/07/2026 13:07

LipglossAndLies · 04/07/2026 10:30

There is evidence you simply don't accept it. Those are not the same thing. I've already cited reputable royal biographers such as Robert Lacey and Tom Quinn, whose work is based on interviews with palace staff and royal insiders. Tom Quinn's work was also serialised by The Times. Publishers and newspapers have legal teams that scrutinise potentially defamatory material before publication. That doesn't make every claim a proven fact, but it certainly means they aren't simply "lies."

Even if Meghan's case involved an official Buckingham Palace investigation, the findings were never published and the staff who complained have never been publicly identified. You accept those allegations because you trust the investigation and the reporting surrounding it.

So why do anonymous palace sources suddenly have no evidential value when the reports concern William? You don't have to believe every account, but it's incorrect to say there is "no evidence" simply because the sources aren't publicly named.

The issue isn't whether the two cases are identical they're not. The issue is whether you're applying the same standard of evidence. If anonymous staff and confidential sources are acceptable in Meghan's case, they can't automatically be dismissed as "lies" in William's. What you really mean is that you don't find the evidence persuasive, not that no evidence exists. Those are two very different things.

Why don't you name all those who spoke about Meghan, who when where...I look forward to you producing this information you obviously have access to the report

I do not accept your vagueness as "evidence".
"House staff"? Who?
There is no evidence. You've provided nothing.

PoppysAunt · 04/07/2026 13:09

@LipglossAndLies - plenty of evidence about Harry having a vicious temper. Plenty of evidence about Meghan being a bully.
No evidence against William whatsoever.

NotTalkinBoutTheLinen · 04/07/2026 13:22

The article I found referencing Tom Quinn’s info about William’s temperament was actually quite flattering to W&C’s marriage. It said they argue like any couple but it’s always under control. That Catherine knows how to calm him when he’s frustrated.

There was no mention of him treating staff poorly.

JudgeJ · 04/07/2026 13:26

According to reports AMW made a brief appearance at the event , spoke to no one then disappeared
That's exactly what happened, it was an event open to the public, lots of people went, I'm sure more than 1 has a dodgy past, are they to vet everyone?

Interesting. I've never heard of him treating staff badly. I've never heard evidence of him losing his temper. He comes across as sensitive, patient and good humoured. I suppose you'd have to be with a brother and a SIL like Harry and Meghan! 😁

Do you not think if M had been exonerated she and H would have ensured that the report was published ? It didn’t have to name anyone , an official statement saying there was no evidence would suffice .
Instead we had silence other than M saying it wasn’t her job to coddle people .

Mylovelygreendress · 04/07/2026 13:33

Also , after the Fiji market incident, one of M’s security detail was spotted in tears by a British journalist apparently after being roundly berated by M .

JSMill · 04/07/2026 13:39

H and M themselves admitted there were people in their office crying at their desks.

It's just awful. They can behave like idiots, but using the children as pawns is shameful.

I've just read that she won't go to London, but might meet him in the Midlands later. Much safer.
