I think it is simple, but not quite as you describe. H+M have put so much out there through Oprah and other nterviews, his book, her podcast episodes and lifestyle show, the tours, the NF documentary series, Omid Scobie’s book, lots of really personal stuff to the point that we know which cream Harry rubs on his sore dick and what his first shag was like. There’s an awful lot of content that has come directly from them, and much of it makes them look terrible due to the lies, the hypocrisy and the naked entitlement. Whereas there is very little that comes from W+C, and it’s much better managed. Many posters talk about liking H+M at the time of the wedding, or of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Harry was one of the most popular members of the RF at that point iirc. But they have chucked all that goodwill away, and all by themselves. W+C have not torpedoed themselves like that, they get on with their roles, largely without incident, and remain very popular for it.
Is William a liar, a hypocrite, entitled? I don’t know, but there doesn’t seem to be any evidence for it. Is Catherine racist, exploitative, grandiose? I don’t know, but there doesn’t seem to be any evidence for it.
Is Harry a liar? Yes, he lied in Spare and in court earlier this year. Is he entitled? Yes, he expects taxpayers to fund 24/7 security when it’s not necessary. Is he racist? Yes, there are many examples, including celebrating that his white genes won over Meghan’s. Is Meghan exploitative? Yes, she used photos with sick children and survivors of a terrorist atrocity to try and sell clothes. Is she grandiose? Yes, she had herself announced to an empty room. Is she a liar? Yes, she also lied in court. Are they hypocrites? Yes, there are many examples of their hypocrisy.
And so on. This is why I think there is such antipathy towards the Sussexes, they just cannot stop telling us how awful they are. The Waleses are much more circumspect, which doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t also awful - I think it’s unlikely, but who really knows?
