Royal Ascot 2026 - Carriage Lists

I’ve done this for the last few years but wanted to see if there was still interest?

I work in racing and am on the media circulation list for all the Royal Ascot press releases throughout the meeting. They send out the carriage lists at midday each day so if people are interested I’m happy to pop it up for discussion.

The Royal Procession is at 2pm each day (Tuesday-Saturday) and you can watch on ITV.

@MeetMeOnTheCorner sorry but looks like the Queen is in white/cream again.

Is it a very pale green?

It could be, or possibly a hint of silver?

Well it’s very pale again! And Earl of Snowdens “Mrs?” In white! They look a bit boring!

......but DH would love it.

In a dress and heels? 😁

The absent spouses may just have other commitments. If any of them work for he nhs, they're probably chained up in the hospital basement, as per the other thread.

If it got him in the carriage he would… 😂

That thread was mad!

JustAnotherWhinger · 18/06/2026 14:16

Sophie’s dress looks black, but her hat is definitely navy. Must just be the light as that wouldn’t be go-to combo

CaveMum · 18/06/2026 14:48

Loving Felicity Blunt’s dress as she presents the trophy for the first race.

Stanley and Felicity look fabulous. I like Zara’s yellow dress as well

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 18/06/2026 15:45

It’s definitely a navy dress for Sophie. Just looked at a close up. Her hat might be a shade lighter. Did she wear navy on Tuesday?

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 18/06/2026 16:16

I’m a bit disappointed with Francesca Cumani today too. Looks like garden cuttings on her hat and her dress is a bit non descript. She’s usually ultra stylish. Adele Mulrennan has upped her look
today. Charlotte Hawkins is perfect, as usual.

It's a pity the women are not listed in their own names.

This I would go ballistic if someone called me Mrs Felix Smith and Not Mrs Alice Smith

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 18/06/2026 17:51

@Survivalandthriving The Royal Enclosure will change it to the name you want but the default is Mrs H M King, for example. When you register and apply for tickets you can say what you want to be known as.

It's still deeply sexist and archaic. Reminds me of The Handmaid's Tale, where women's only identity is the man they are associated with. Offred, Ofwarren, the woman has no identity in her own right.

No man would dream of being called Mr. Zara Phillips.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 18/06/2026 18:06

@IcedPurple It’s the way they choose to run it but you get it changed if you don’t like it. The women who don’t, obviously don’t agree with you. They have a choice and have made it. We aren’t all the same, are we?

I suspect they are cowed and obedient rather than choosing to be identified by their husband. It’s ludicrous.

If they like it so much why do none of them ever use that format in other contexts?

Obliging women, many of them more successful and well known than their husbands, to go out of their way not to be classed as an appendage to those husbands really isn't appropriate in this day and age.

Sophie will definitely be wearing navy rather than black and what a beautifully detailed dress. I also liked her floral dress on Garter Day. Sadly, Kate's lemonade brocade did not flatter her.
Sweet to see Sophie wearing her wedding necklace. Tomorrow (19 June) is their anniversary.
The photos in the Fail are bizarre and sly.
[Black is verboten except for funerals and memorial occasions like Remembrance.]

Well, Sophie wore a black dress yesterday to day two of Ascot - I was surprised by both very dark choices

Sophie wore black earlier in the week.

The ban on black (as well as the dislike of trousers and non-nude nail polish) has definitely relaxed since QEII died.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 18/06/2026 21:56

I don’t think it was black. It looks like navy - the flowers in her hat look darker. They look black but I don’t think the dress is.

It looks black to me

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 18/06/2026 22:12

It’s not. The papers are wrong. See attached - husband clearly in a black morning jacket and Sophie is almost deep purple/navy. There’s a clear difference. These dresses are by Susannah.

The faux pas comments would have been corrected by the maker very quickly if it was a specially made colour.

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 18/06/2026 23:43

The papers csn say whst they like and no one at Ascot cared! However the photo shows it being a different colour to the morning jacket and she doesn’t have to buy of the shelf. No manufacturer is going to comment on one of their best clients! Cannot see anything wrong with black anyway. It’s just a fuss about nothing.

JustAnotherWhinger · 18/06/2026 23:53

It being a slightly different tone to Edward’s jacket doesn’t make it not black.

The manufacturer absolutely would have released the colour, agreed with the palace, to take away chatter about a royal faux pas.

It’s only a fuss because you’re the sole person adamant an obviously black dress isn’t black.
