Meghan and Harry the grift that keeps on grifting. Long may they continue. Better than any soap opera on the telly.

It wasn't behind a paywall @BasiliskStare but sometimes people prefer not to click directly on tabloid links (varying reasons - for me it's to avoid ads where I can).

One can only hope. Even now H isn't exactly on his uppers. Bit of financial planning , working out a long term sustainable lifestyle - he'll be grand .

(There may be a flaw in this 😉)

I think I've spotted the flaw 🤣

Meanwhile, Harry has sent a video to a Nottingham film premiere, supported by one of the charities he visited last year.

Why, IcedPurple, I don't know how you can be so mean. 😉

Harry is out there representing our fine country by talking to estate agents about his mum and slapping lifeguards on the arse. Who else could we trust with these important duties?

How can he be expected to know his itinerary 28 days in advance? That would be destroying the witty spontaneity which makes him such an icon. You never know when another lifeguard's bottom may hove into view unexpectedly. Would you want that bottom to go unslapped, just for want of a few hundred thousand in taxpayers' money?

Give us the laugh emoji back please 😂😂

He’s dead behind his eyes. No expression at all.
I find myself feeling sorry for him, and any organisation that has to employ him to be their spokesman.
He can barely advocate for himself let alone vulnerable societies

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · Yesterday 06:28

I note he has to remind everyone about his donation to CIN. How crass.

I think her skills are more appropriate to a corporate context than a celebrity one.

She can regurgitate world salad style promotion and act confident and assertive.
I can imagine she comes across quite well in a corporate type board meeting.

But she has no charisma, star quality, charm, or artistic talent so as a celebrity she flops.

She can sell herself she can't deliver.

She’d probably come across quite well until some hard headed executive, in a search for some proper answers, started to drill down through the nonsense she spouts.

She’s all froth and no pop as my grandma used to say.

All his own doing. Of course he has to remind everyone of his donation.

M’s a bit of a Siobhan Sharpe figure in a meeting chaired by Ian Fletcher, but even more crap.

TL;DR below: I can’t stand H, people who admire/use him shouldn’t, and what a waste of £26 million.

H - words fail me why any charity or organisation for young people from troubled backgrounds would want a drug addled privileged, spoiled and spiteful arsehole anywhere near it. Makes me wonder about the quality of governance, frankly. Someone needs to do their due diligence because H’s reputation will be fully in the gutter by the end of next year.

The issues with the UK’s current defence crisis (budget and policy), and the political stewardship of defence budgets from as far back as Penny Mordaunt (Con) and Johnny Mercer (Con), as well as under the current government, are huge.

I hope this means that any begging bowl held out for Invictus Birmingham will finally be scrutinised by the MSM and public as the grift it is, and not dismissed as ‘small fry’. That £26 million would have gone some considerable way toward fixing the core defect (thermal-management sensitivity of the WR-21 ICR) of at least one currently languishing Type 45 destroyer. Or it could have gone toward housing homeless veterans and preventing homelessness in that community via up-and-running schemes surviving on a shoestring that need the money.

And that’s another thing. Does H ever recognise the navy? Or do his ‘world thought leader’ speeches never extend past his mostly invented personal experience in the army? Last I heard, former head of the navy Admiral Alan West was calling his being given the ‘legend of aviation’ award ‘pathetic’.

‘Dead behind the eyes’ what absolute bullshit to suit a fictitious narrative.

How about the origin story of Harry ‘founding’ Invictus being a ‘fictitious narrative’, then? Would that suit you better? That was a complete fake story.

He didn't 'cough up' anything. There's a difference between not charging your nieces rent in homes which otherwise would be unoccupied, to subsidising your petulant son's abuse of the legal system you preside over, to the tune of hundreds of millions of pounds.

https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a71506288/king-charles-pays-princess-beatrice-eugenie-rent/

C3 paid (still does?) B&E's rent.

I don't suppose for a minute he'd cough H's legal fees in a direct billing but I do think H is still subbed by him on the sly which means the fees are underwritten albeit indirectly.

That’s so cringe - I can’t believe he CHOSE to add in his ridiculous chicken dance manoeuvres ….. and to show horn in that he made a donation nearly a year ago - how hard he squeezes the publicity pips.

You made me go back to see the chicken dancing 😡😁

Shades of Teresa May at the party conference 😆

Harry is so desperate to be relevant in a country where he has cut ties. Pathetic.

He looks pale and ill in that video.

Has anyone seen the new photoshopped/ AI video from MM?

noonames · Yesterday 12:05

I think if KC3 was really subbing the Sussexes, they would have the financial freedom to focus on their original aims of philanthropy and service, rather than giving talks to estate agents and flogging selfies and candles. I agree it's not a good look if any of our money is being used to prop up the millionaire lifestyles of non-working royals, or to fund litigation / reviews which also cost us a fortune.

He looks like shit in that video.

And what is the point of it? To remind us all of his super generous donation? Why the Meghanesque split screen footage of him hugging people?

And couldn't he find a charity doing similar work a tad closer to home, rather than having to communicate via video message? It's not as if California doesn't have its fair share of social problems.

Noodledog · Yesterday 12:27

Starryfifty · 11/06/2026 20:08

I'm in Ireland but is there huge excitement in Birmingham over this ??

I think holding Invictus in Birmingham will be......interesting. Firstly there is the problem of Birmingham City Council being virtually bankrupt and barely coping with bin emptying. It also has a significant Muslim population and Gaza is a massive issue in the city. The council are very pro Gaza and Birmingham even has an independent MP who stood purely as a pro-Gaza candidate. So if Israel are invited to send competitors for Invictus it could cause serious local political problems.

Quite - service is universal. That was a very quick and easy way to remind people of his donation , and to be fair to bring attention again to the project, for which I am sure they will be grateful , and that's a good thing , except that H & charity I think aren't a happy mix at the moment. What else is he doing at the moment ? Children and SM, IG , heard nothing from him re Africa Parks. I think showing old videos is a bit lazy and dare I say a bit "look at me " I'm a philanthropist. What is he doing day to day - if you discount the dashes abroad.
