Meghan and Harry the grift that keeps on grifting. Long may they continue. Better than any soap opera on the telly.

Meghan and Harry aren't Royal, capital R, they are minor members of the royal (small r) family. They have no constitutional significance so there is no necessity to post photos of their children or get them used to a life of duty. Harry has done his children a great disservice saddling them with titles instead of allowing them to make their own choices.

If they want to use their children to sell jam, that's up to them but they are posting a celebrity influencers not Royalty.

The bit that really annoys me about Harry is the way he tried to insist that he has a right to control what he releases to the press (which I agree with) whilst at the same time breaching his family's privacy at every opportunity. He is a complete hypocrite as well as divorced from reality. There is no such thing a truth being what you remember when facts are involved.

Once again they would probably be a lot happier and more successful if they stopped the Ur- Royal act and settled for a life of rich celebrity.

I wasn't ignoring you. I had a busy weekend and wasn't really on my phone beyond making calls, and when I checked my notifications I hadn't even worked through them all yet, I just started with the most recent one.

I've also not replied to plenty of other people. A delayed response isn't the same thing as being ignored, and I'm under no obligation to reply immediatel, or at all.

What I do take issue with is being accused of ignoring someone when they have absolutely no idea why I haven't responded. There are any number of reasons someone may not reply straight away, and jumping straight to the worst conclusion is both unfair and rude.

Quite frankly, given your attitude, I won't be engaging further. I prefer to have discussions with people who are polite enough not to make assumptions about my intentions.

You have no answer to their hypocrisy. Thought not.

And as has been explained above, the Wales and Sussexes are very different. One family has a role in British public life. The other doesn't.

Exactly a recent equivalent comparison to A and L would be the Edinburgh/Wessex children, James is only 11 years older than Archie. They were grandchildren of the monarch growing up but i dont remember seeing much about them when they were children and why should we have done. None expected or wanted constant photos of them they were allowed to grow up in privacy.

Sophie and Edward also did the school run. No paps. Louise worked at a garden centre in the holidays, she travels to uni on the train.
They haven't been touted like the Sussex children.

No-one can explain or excuse their hypocrisy.

Harry and Meghan have invaded their own privacy far, far more than any tabloid rag or pap (who only appear these days when invited, and H&M have them on speed dia|) could ever hope to. Their "taking back control" has just opened them up to derision, not to mention intense scrutiny over their plethora of lies, exaggerations and hypocrisy. They are a global laughing stock, and no better than snake oil selling self help gurus and pathetic influencers using their kids to sell crap white label goods. Yet they moan and moan, because, after invading their own privacy, shock, horror, people comment on it! How dare the plebs and the press not simply smile and nod every time one of these losers invades their own privacy, and that of their children, for monetary gain again! It's so unfair!

You realise the danger to social media is not about a parent posting a few pictures online. Its children having social media accounts and being subjected to algorithms and you would know this if you actually looked into what it was about that she was speaking about

Interesting then that our PM has just announced a ban on social media for under 16s for the very same reasons, that its a danger to children to be using it. A similar ban is in place in a number of other countries.

At least be factual about what she was talking about when it comes to the dangers of social media instead of phoning in one specific example.

Nope ! 👎, not interested!

Exactly. They shared details of the pregnancy test, twerking in the labour room, details of the birth, Archie in the bath, the children's birthdays, helping "mom", having fun at Disneyland etc. Far more than any fictitious "pap" could manage to get.
"Oh my children couldn't go to school in the UK, they'd be hounded by paps, I'm being a good parent taking them away from all that" - said Meghan.
More lies. More hypocrisy.

BasiliskStare · 15/06/2026 11:41

Of course a huge problem with SM is what children themselves have access to. I could not agree more.

However I do think for young children frequent photographs , and comments about them , being posted , when you know there will be a global audience is equally not in that child's interest.

As so many others have said , but I think it bears repeating , A&L are not of constitutional importance. So , anything H&M reveal of them is for "other reasons" . At the moment that seems to be propping up M's idea of being a lifestyle influencer. They're using the children's photos for a business / brand. And I do think that allows people to call them out for hypocrisy when they talk about the dangers of SM for children, as self appointed ambassadors for this. Especially when H talks about the dangers of photos in an AI world. & backs of heads / emojis over the faces doesn't cut it for me. There is not one reason those children need to be on instagram etc unless their parents wanted them to be.

NormalAuntFanny · 15/06/2026 11:57

Anastasiaa · 15/06/2026 09:22

People talking about her is generating clicks and cash for the nasty MSM and SM - none of this activity appears to encourage people to purchase tat and UPFs from her site - she’s inadvertently creating a revenue stream for the people / organisations she hates whilst eroding her own brand due to the ridicule she elicits.

This is a very good point I think, sometimes it seems everything they do is like an ironic opposite of what you'd think they intended.

Oh I totally agree, and it would make a lot of sense.
However, they want to be royal, famous and in the media.

The worst was when she was at an event with the queen, an extreme privilege in itself given how new she was to the family at the time, and she simply refused to let the queen get in to a car before her. She literally barged her way in front of her despite aides attempting to stop her. Completely rude and bizarre behaviour. I can't imagine any normal person with manners doing that to any eldery relative, let alone the actual queen

Im pretty sure what happened was explained at the time as the late Queen telling MM to enter the car first as the Queen preferred to sit behind the driver.

Doesn't the other party usually walk around the back of the car to "their" door? I'm sure I've seen other royals doing this, unless there is no room.

The problem is she refused to take advice - she was offered Sophie as a mentor but was refused. She was assigned a Ghanaian equerry (colonel in the Blues & Royals - Harry's regiment) to assist with protocol - she was insulted and declined his services.

She was also given a big folder with all sorts of details and FAQs.

Exactly. No tabloid would have printed details about Harry’s penis or losing his virginity. He’s whipped up
interest in these matters and dragged innocent parties with no press protection into his mess to have their privacy invaded, like the poor stable girl and the disabled matron at school. Their cheerleaders can bang on about social
media algorithms and controlling narratives, but all they have done since leaving the RF is hurt other people and destroy other people’s privacy and peace of mind for money. They are the lowest of the low, and their supporters are not far behind.

Lunde · 15/06/2026 12:20

Thedom · 15/06/2026 06:35

I actually thought she dressed really well during her short tenure in the RF, her ex friend was styling her then and most of the outfits suited her body shape.

Well I guess spending £1 million of Charles' money on her wardrobe for her 18 months in the royal family .... she ought to have looked good!

I wonder where all of those pieces are now?

MyAutumnCrow · 15/06/2026 12:20

FenellaFeldman · 15/06/2026 07:46

That's hilarious, isn't it, that they actually have people in those roles!
They just love it all.

Another thing that will never not be funny:

‘On behalf of the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’.

In a Christmas card.

Yes, I wonder. It wasn't just very high end bespoke day and evening wear, there were also shoes, hats and handbags.
Quite the wardrobe.

Chimneyissues · 15/06/2026 12:25

They’ve made such a fuss about the privacy of the children and hiding their image it must be having a negative effect on their lives. Sophie and Edward’s children must have gone to public events growing up but I assume Harry and Meghans are so heavily protected they must be missing out.
I saw someone say how ridiculous it is for Harry to go to a basketball game without his son. Will they never be able to go to anything for fear of being seen.

That's because they've decided to live in the public eye. There was someone on here who saw Princess Charlotte participating at a sports event. Charlotte was able to compete in privacy, because people respected that, and that her parents do not monetise her image and her private life.

I remember we all had a great laugh at it at the time! Who uses their 'charity' to 'congratulate' their founder on his whiny memoirs?

The grandiosity is unreal. "The Private Office of the Duke and Duchess". Is there a public office?

MyAutumnCrow · 15/06/2026 12:34

IcedPurple · 15/06/2026 10:28

I said this what they said about privacy amd they never said they wanted to a private life in the sense of we will never be seen or heard in public again. They were clear what it meant for them.

But how can it be 'clear' when according to you they never even mentioned 'privacy'?

They are both Royals (working or non working) and of course as we have previously seen the paps would do anything to get pictures.

Huh?

"Paps" barely exist anymore. And at least in Britain, they never go near royal children. When is the last time you have seen a 'pap' photo of a royal child? Are you living in the 90s, just like Meghan?

And as has been explained above, the Wales and Sussexes are very different. One family has a role in British public life. The other doesn't.

Maybe instead of fixating on made up definitions of 'privacy' you could actually address the arguments people have made.

There’s also someone on the thread about the Beckhams who has apparently never heard of the Leveson Inquiry and what changed subsequently. Very odd. Same script - ‘we all know what the paps are like’ - and the same ability to ignore the fact that California has strict laws around photographing children and that parental content is paramount.

It’s a crap PR strategy.
