Rolling this post from @elessar over to the new thread (about the A being scared of Sleeping Beauty picture):
The headline is horrible but it literally just describes what’s in the photo, and Meghan was the one who released the photo.
I'm absolutely confident that H&M if they saw the headline would blame the “horrible press” and take no responsibility, but the only person who is to blame for this is Meghan for putting an unpleasant and embarrassing photo of her son into the public domain. Why, why, why would you put that out there? (my underlining)
Unfortunately, my very brittle, jealous, whackjob mother would do exactly this sort of thing. She was actually jealous of her daughters, not her sons (i.e. my brothers), although she was jealous of any time my father spent with my brothers, and jealous of any time my brothers spent with their father. Subtle pyschological punishments with plausible deniability would follow. If you pushed back, she would cleverly rope in her cronies to back her up, without some of them even realising how they were being manipulated at the time. She was an expert at separation of knowledge and them bam! - the triangulation and administering of the punishment followed. This could be weeks, months, years later.
Shaming (even if subconscious) not that uncommon a family dynamic - just better hidden in most families because most families aren't famous and posting publicly so much on social media for profit.
