Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow was the special guest at a Besties event, run by Henderson (left) and Gemma O'Neill, back in 2023 – and Meghan is now rumoured to follow in her footsteps. Picture: Supplied
While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

Meghan out and about visiting children in LA. Why does she do this? The kids don't know who she is. She's not a princess. She's not Royal. I imagine they would rather have a visit from Mickey Mouse . It's all so false.

Did you even read why she was there? Its part of the hospitals fundraising campaign and the hospital then drives awareness by posting her and other celebrities on their sm and news to create awareness and raise funds.

It appears it is her second time doing this for this hospital.

What exactly is the issue here? Whether you like it or not what she does generates articles in the press so why not use that to help create awareness for charities, fundraising campaigns etc. Is this what you would want her to do...using the fact it will create awareness for a good cause?

Who OKs these visits? What kind of vetting/safeguarding is put into place, I wonder, when a bunch of strangers, with no official standing or vetting, decide to descend on a children's ward with cameras, publicists, bodyguards, PAs and the rest.

Well yhe hospital clearly, the CEO invited her to the gala last time. Stand to reason if you are running a fundraiser and need celebrities then the hospital will extend invitations. So clearly the hospital will then be responsible for ensuring safeguarding etc.

She didnt descend on the hospital on a whim seriously come on! Thats just being ridiculous now. 🙄

It’s a pay for play children’s hospital, many celebrities use it to help their image, the Kardashian’s among them, this is the second time Meghan has been here and photographed.

Why no monetary donation I wonder?

Looking at the local companies who pledge in March there are many. Archewell are not one of them. Why not? Put your money where your photo is. Heidi Klum is a major sponsor for example. She's not splashed all over. Even small privately owned cafes are donating. Don't try to get insulting with me with your " did you even read it" . I think I read more than you did.

Do you know everything single thing they do? They didnt announce this visit either the hospital did and it got media coverage because of that. So no they dont always announce everything they do.

Do they need to donate everytime? If you do charity work and help to raise money do you feel obligated to always donate?

I think most people do know what the pair are doing. They advertise it enough. As for donations they run a charity don’t they so why wouldn’t they donate?

Well then why are you posting saying why is she doing this?

Meghan didnt make the announcement, the hospital did. If the hospital didnt about Heidi then take it up with them and if Heidi isnt being spayed all over well it shows she isnt interesting enough for newspapers to do that. Yet we all know meghan articles generate clicks for papers because of they didnt they would keep churning out article after article

Maybe people and the media should stop calling them tours. Feel free ro provide a quote where they themselves say they are going on a tour or whats the other word used quasi royal tour?

The article you shared said they are gling as private citizens and its related to their business activities and philanthropy work. They are allowed to travel to other countries to do this just like many other famous people do.

You say They even reportedly have a WhatsApp group with their favored journalists ...reportedly? As in you know this for a fact otherwise if its jidt conjecture, speculation rumour then you cant call them hypocrites until you know it for a fact.

You say..hey also criticize the royal family while still using their titles and even giving their children royal titles. It’s becoming increasingly ridiculous

As have many other members who have someone books etc. So they arent the only ones who have criticised the institution or members od the family. Charles for example ...dont you think that is also ridiculous.

You say In my opinion, King Charles III should step in and remove the titles and styles from royals who are no longer carrying out duties for the Crown

Well Harry is born a Prince how do you suppose that should be taken away? If he is no longer a prince then anyone can be a prince right...therefore anyone can be a king or queen, bloodline no longer matters...great lets get a vote going on who would represent the monarchy better and it cna be anyone in that case.

You say Look at what happened after Harry’s interview—a minister from that country reacted negatively to it

They dont control what ministers do. That minister should of known better and sinxe it hardly got reported whats the big deal then

Have you heard of Andrew Montbatten-Windsor, formally known as Prince?

‘Minor celebs decide to visit Australia’

drivinmecrazy · 13/03/2026 15:22

Maybe because Heidi gave a donation and that was as her main intention.
what people are trying to say to you is that this visit was to publicise Meghan not the hospital.
and to say she that Heidi Klum is less newsworthy is pie in the sky.
she is worth over $100 million so I’m sure that she too could buy column inches if she so chose.
she doesn’t.

Do you know which other non working royal liked to have her picture taken with sick children at children’s hospitals?
yes it’s Sarah Ferguson!
if Meghan is unhappy being compared with her as is reported, perhaps doing the same things really isn’t a good idea.

IAmATorturedPoet · 13/03/2026 15:26

She needs to stop using other peoples children for her own gain.

Yes ! Guards her children’s faces but very happy to have other people’s children used as a pr opportunity! 🙄

I don't feel obliged to donate but I always do, because I only volunteer for charities that I believe matter.

Thats your choice. We all have a choice. Some people donate and volunteer time too. Some just volunteer their time. There is no right or wrong way here. It should never be criticised if you do not donate money. It doesnt make you better because you did.
