“The three-day event from April 17–19, touted as a “girls’ weekend like no other”, will be hosted by Her Best Life podcast at the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, a five-star luxury hotel on the beach waterfront in the city’s eastern suburbs.
Meghan will be the event’s headline guest speaker, speaking about her career and life during a Q&A interview at a gala dinner.
The retreat is limited to just 300 people. Early bird tickets start at A$2,699 (£1,400) per person, while VIP tickets, which include front-row seats and a group table photo with Meghan, cost A$3,199 (£1,680).
The engagement was confirmed by Her Best Life podcast host Gemma O’Neill on Wednesday and comes after speculation about her rumoured appearance.
“I have admired (Meghan) and what she has endured...and how she has demonstrated how a woman can be pushed down and she can still rise,” O’Neill said on the podcast after the announcement.
O’Neill said the event was made possible thanks to a mutual friend she shares with Meghan, who connected her with the Duchess’s team.
“I feel so flattered because she’s effectively doing this as a favour because of our mutual friend, and she’s doing it because she really loves what our community is about, which is women trying to grow...be their best selves and trying to help other women,” O’Neill explained.
“It’s a very small event for 300 women... it’s going to be a fireside chat with Meghan and I.””
I wonder how many journalists will be there.
