Having a passion for elevating everyday moments sounds absolutely exhausting. But that's just me, who only elevates her coffee cups.

I feel that Meghan would be more successful if she stopped trying to present everything as a record shattering success. Admitting mistakes, showing uncertainty, being human is very relatable and endearing. I hope that she gains the confidence to be real.

I don’t think she can admit mistakes without elevating them into some elaborately packaged ‘life moment’.

For someone who is such a type A perfectionist, so much of what she’s done comes across as Can’t Be Arsed.

WLM will probably be the best work she has ever done / will ever do. I credit it for some little useful household tips, blinding escapism, and for the endless amusement from reading these threads.

Harry at his best on his recent message - a still from the message to the athletes 😬

Drugs and drink I suspect .

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 08/03/2026 07:30

I keep saying this, but I have no idea why these two don't just downsize, duck under the radar and live comfortably and quietly off their investments, enjoying their children and all that lovely Californian sunshine. All this thashing about in public pretending to be successful and marvellous when you're actually a complete disaster must be absolutely exhausting.

I don’t understand that either. I assume Harry needs to keep pretending he’s important to give his life some meaning. He doesn’t know how to be ordinary. She needs the oxygen of attention because she doesn’t exist without it. I don’t think she has a real personality really, she’s just a vacuum taking on a persona she thinks will get her attention.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 08/03/2026 07:51

It's so peculiar.

AtIusvue · 08/03/2026 08:29

It was a case of fake it til you make it. They wanted to hang out with the billionaire class thinking one day, that will be them too.

But you can already see that the house/grounds aren’t being maintained. It must be crazy expensive to live such a life.

Id be tempted to demolish the whole thing. Build a much smaller home, but something new, gorgeous and easier to maintain in years to come. Change the landscaping too- local plants and trees that don’t need irrigation, low maintenance garden. The spot they are in is nice- it’s just completely beyond their budget to look after something like that. Neither of them had any knowledge what it takes to run a home.

Look at Gwyneths house she built in the area. Yes, it’s still a big house but it’s not showy and OTT.

GP new house looks incredible from the snippets we can see and the gardens are fabulous, it is so her aesthetic. Hope she does an architectural digest spread soon, I would love to see more of it.

Thedom · 08/03/2026 08:43

The Montecito McMansion is so at odds with MM style, but probably similar to what H had been used to, old fashioned and a bit tatty around the edges.

Thedom · 08/03/2026 08:48

I see GP did do an AD spread, it looks classy.

Because Meghan’s life’s ambition is to be mega rich and famous and Harry wants to make her happy .
They were swept along by the interest and admiration of the public when they were first married and clearly thought that would continue and that they were more popular than the rest of the RF and should be allowed to do their own thing . Harry even said that Meghan did the job better than the others !
Walking behind Catherine was the last straw so they flounced off imagining they would set up their own Court .
The rest - as they say- is history.

Netflix does not exist to provide free financial support for H&M. So, it is not surprising that Netflix dropped this non-performing duo and will re-allocate Netflix resources previously provided to H&M (production, marketing, etc.) to other profit generating projects.

What is surprising is that Sunshine Sachs permitted such an ungracious response from H&M. Lashing out at Netflix is the worst move possible and not only torches bridges with Netflix but also alienates potential investors who see H&M bad-mouthing Netflix despite all the resources CEO Ted provided to H&M.

Being associated with such unprofessional public statements seriously damages the Sunshine Sachs brand...which is image management. IMHO, Sunshine Sachs is either sending the Z-team to babysit H&M or has possibly fled the burning building!

Just catching up. But hasn't it been pretty obvious since 2017 that H&M do not listen to and follow advice given to them by their (by now numerous) paid advisors?

The only people who ever said Meghan was a Type A perfectionist were Meghan herself and her planted sources.

It all screams C list actor trying to break through via juvenile PR.

Joining the BRF never did Meghan any favours at all - it just exposed her. I think she wanted to learn, but found she couldn't so has just reverted back to the level of PR that she finds easy and comfortable. Unfortunately, she's no longer a C list actor whose BS never gets scrutinised.

Harry even said that Meghan did the job better than the others !

They mistook the interest and general good wishes for personal popularity, rather than realising it was connected with their role.

I do sometimes wonder if Harry would genuinely have enjoyed stepping back and living quietly, had they done that. At first I thought so, and that it was Meghan who pushed a lot of the publicity, but I'm increasingly unsure.

corblimeyguvnr · 08/03/2026 12:23

Harry in his message the other day to the sports team said " our flag" - it's obvious he still thinks of himself as very much part of it all. It's like he's some kind of running alongside surfing , sporty twat.

I don't know why he's so red and sweaty. It's almost as if it's an afterthought - he was doing something else then thought " oh shit! I better send a message" 🤷‍♀️

I don’t think she wanted to learn at all. I think she thought they’d be lucky to be have her and she would shake them all up. I think her attitude was condescending and superior from the start. That’s probably what put Willam and Kate’s backs up.

I think Harry loves being Royal and the perks that go with it but a lot of the day to day stuff bored him . When he was with W and C ( you know the sister he never had) he seemed to enjoy the camaraderie and possibly / probably hoped that Meghan would complete the line up but M was never going to play second fiddle to Catherine .
When they went off in a strop H never thought his security would be withdrawn or that Pa would stop funding him .
I imagine the realisation that he had to earn money rather than swan around playing polo, surfing and being feted must have been a shock .

Vasodilation like that with pronounced flushing is associated with poppers many things.

I agree with this. I think Prince Philip said years ago said , do not mistake the people are cheering for you , they are cheering for The Queen.

I am not sure M ever wanted to step back and live quietly , she found herself launched into the fame stratosphere by marrying H & I think it might have gone to her head somewhat.

I think all H has known is "being Prince Harry" ( albeit he had wiser heads to guide him as a member of the WRF.) I am not entirely sure what inner resources he may have to live a quiet life. I think the entitlement is too ingrained.

Anyway , as I often say , I don't know either of them so I may very well be wrong. 😊

MrsLeonFarrell · 08/03/2026 13:36

I don't think Harry has any awareness that his status was derived from representing the crown, not from his birth. Lots of people are born into the Royal family, those that the crowds turn out to see are the ones actually working as Senior royals.

He still thinks he is a senior royal carrying out royal duties. That's why he bangs on about a life of duty and service whilst in reality he is surfing, hanging out at home whilst occasionally accepting an award or making a speech telling everything else what they are doing wrong.

I find him far more delusional than Meghan.
