Phoning a friend to wish them well, what an utter bastard!

Anyway, not sure if this has been posted upthread already, but it looks like there was a bit of a protest outside at the Commonwealth Day service by Republic.

Charles really doesn’t look well there.

Oh wow that's not just one or two people is it? The RF are not used to that I bet

A well organised protest, asking a pertinent question that both republicans and monarchists are wondering about.

I don't know who recorded the video but they did a great job. The king and the queen ignoring questions from the public about cover up of serious allegations, while being feted by senior church figures dressed in golden and purple.

It is not a good look for the RF

damsello · 10/03/2026 18:52

They should be going in via the back door and making their confession to the priest before they face us again. They make me feel ill, all dressed up with jewels and pearls worth millions, and not a bother on any of them.

They really need a slap. Oh look I am sorry for my venom, I can't help it at the moment, but I'm sure I'll be fine.

One thing's for sure, none of them will have to worry about the astronomical rise in energy and home heating oil. They probably get it free from the Saudi princes anyway. I think I need to confess my own sins aswell now.....😊

I think you saved yourself here. I have friend whose workplace was visited by him and my friend's comment - at the time, before all of this blew up - was "afterwards all the women felt they needed a good shower"

I only met him once and I thought he was a smarmy, lecherous snob. He clearly only came to impress the bigwigs, who dutifully laughed at his ‘jokes’ and clearly felt flattered by his presence 🤢🤮

Good for you!!! I would never bow or curtsey to anyone, ever!!

I was looking out the window when he arrived, the clerk over the other side of our building (a true civil servant if ever there was one, I wasn't!) curtesyed like a pro. Never liked her!

MidWayThruJanuary · 10/03/2026 19:27

I wonder if AMW visited Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico.

I think generally he doesn't look very well.

I wonder what’s happening in relation to unsealing the records of his years as Trade Envoy. A lot of information is coming into the public domain now.

Unfortunately the opposition motion (humble address) on 24th Feb which requested the release of papers relating to the trade envoy role only requested papers relating to AMW's appointment to the role, including advice ministers had received and vetting they had carried out.
I haven't heard yet of any release of documents.

Similarly, we are awaiting release of Mandelson documents.

Zorro Ranch, apparently bodies being searched for. It’s all pretty grim so TW.

I’ll put the link in the next post.

damsello · 10/03/2026 20:43

I'm now wondering who inherited all Epstein's assets. He was single wasn't he?

The evil surrounding that man and his acolytes and "friends" is beyond comprehension.

NewAgeNewMe · 10/03/2026 20:55

I’d never realised there were so many high powered delinquents - I’m not sure that’s the right word, but I hope posters understand what I mean.

The world is awash with them.

From Mountbatten and Kincora Boys Home, to Saville and Stoke Mandeville and other hospitals.

Maybe we don't realise because they get away with it most of the time, and organisations like the BBC and so on turn a blind eye because of money.

Didn't Fergie congratulate Epstein on the birth of his child in one of her email? I guess the child inherited, whoever they are and whoever their mother is.

An intimate circle of very rich people hoping that Epstein would make them even richer, and knowing that their money would make them immune from justice.

NewAgeNewMe · 10/03/2026 21:29

It’s absolutely sickening. I hope the men rot. All of them.

Springinmysteps · 10/03/2026 12:38

After catching up with all these posts/threads I can't see any mention of the current Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward. It would be good to learn he's totally innocent in this horrendous scandal.

He's keeping his head down in case the circumstances surrounding his occupation of a 120 room mansion on what looks like a spookily similar deal to that afforded to MW for RL hit the spotlight.

IMO.

Plus of course he floundered abysmally when questioned on the subject at a recent engagement.

Probably best he keeps his trap shut.

AlwaysRightISwear · 10/03/2026 21:53

bluegreygreen · 10/03/2026 16:05

You are correct, @Puzzledandpissedoff.

If you also look up the Diplomatic Privileges Act 1964, the note on 'Modifications' makes clear that the State Immunity Act 1978* *is an extension of that act.

If there were any further doubt, the full text of section 20 is attached. You will note that the individuals who receive privileges in subsection (1) also receive exemptions under section 8(3) of the Immigration Act 1971.

That seems to be for foreign heads of state and families though, doesn't it, or am I missing something?

I would have said okay, then when he arrived just ignored him.

Yes, it is. You're not missing anything.

BoxingHare · 10/03/2026 18:25

Who cares

Well, several people here obviously, or else there wouldn't be the to and fro.

AnnunciataM · 10/03/2026 21:27

More likely to be found at Zorro ranch IMHO.

Yes. It is worth remembering that Epstein got prosecuted once, and got a light sentence and holiday-camp conditions of imprisonment.

Then the whole thing carried on business-as-usual until VG went after a Prince.

And if she hadn't had that picture - God, how they must regret having taken it now - it might have all blown over.

AND we would never have found out about AMW selling UK interests down the river while the then-HoS did nowt about it. ( And Mandeldon, of course.)

Now they are searching for bodies.

Good to know the British monarchy is still good for something.

I hope W& K can clean up its act.
