This is interesting. We are not in a bubble! We have to see what other countries and nations report

Here's a rundown of the international press coverage:
"Andrew, the fall of the ex-prince who considered himself untouchable... The arrest of King Charles III's brother has put an end to his sense of impunity."
- Le Figaro, France
"In the United Kingdom, even earthquakes occur in moderation. But it is clear that the police arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has begun to shake the country's constitutional foundations and centuries-old customs."
- El Pais, Spain
"Shame of Thrones - Andrew facing life in prison and King under pressure as royal scandal plunges the palace into crisis."
- Herald Sun, New Zealand
"This image is making the rounds worldwide: former Prince Andrew appears frozen in panic. What is he thinking about after his arrest? It is reminiscent of the terrified sinners in ancient depictions of hell."
- Der Spiegel, Germany
"After Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest, King Charles III was not in a sentimental mood. 'The law must take its course,' he said curtly. Not a word of support for his disgraced brother, who was taken into police custody on suspicion of breach of trust. The risk is too great that the head of state - and the entire institution of the monarchy - will be dragged further into the mire by the affair."
- Die Presse, Austria
"King Charles III's family, long rocked by infighting and grievous losses, is facing what could be the gravest threat to its moral authority in more than a generation."
- New York Times, US
"Whatever Congress expected to happen when it passed a law mandating the release of the Epstein files, presumably it wasn't the arrest of a British former prince... Yet so far that's the biggest fallout, as the Jeffrey Epstein material proves to be a bigger scandal in the UK."
- Wall Street Journal, US
"British public cheer Andrew’s arrest with a smile and relief... Some said the younger brother of King Charles III deserved to be detained and others that it sent the right message that the royal family is not above the law."
- Jamaica Observer, Jamaica

Joining too, I found it interesting that SF has checked herself into the world's most expensive spa in Switzerland for some TLC.

She always feels at home at Paracelsus, and knows she’ll get love and attention there, as well as expert health treatment when she’s feeling at her most vulnerable.

I wonder what treatments she is enjoying.

Fergie checked herself into world's most expensive wellness clinic

The former Duchess of York, 66, fled the UK as she and her ex-husband became embroiled in the growing Epstein scandal which culminated in his arrest on Thursday.

Sarah is made entirely of brass. And who is paying for this stay?

VictorianChic · 21/02/2026 20:08

Ferguson really doesn’t give a fuck does she. Such an oaf.

AlwaysRightISwear · 21/02/2026 20:09

How is she paying for that then?

StartupRepair · 21/02/2026 20:18

There is a lot of coverage of AMW in Australia.

BoxingHare · 21/02/2026 20:19

Bringing this here since we've moved!

I think it's important to have him removed from the list of councillors of state. And if he has to be removed from the line of succession in order for that to happen, so be it.

It doesn't matter if it takes time and effort because he'd still be a CoS when William is monarch, and I don't think that would be accepted. So the process may as well start now.

The worlds most expensive Spa!!🧐

Whose' paying the tab? Or is it a favour?

She doesn't look well in the picture. Quite pale.

I am from another Commonwealth country, not on the list @simpsonthecat posted above. There is literally one Letter to the Editor piece in an online newspaper and a FB post from a local talk show host where everyone who took the time to respond basically spoke about Trump and other Epstein-related names. The Windsors barely warranted a mention.

I found the links mentioned after searching for them as nothing came up on my SM feeds and none of my group chats brought it up.

For context, when the Queen visited the country sometime in the 80's, my mum who was around 20 then said the streets were lined with people waiting to see her. For the Golden Jubilee in 2002, the lower forms at my secondary school were asked to submit artwork celebrating same. There was even a small revival of interest up to the point when Harry and Meghan got married. Growing up, we had endless streets and facilities and sporting grounds named after the royals. Princess Margaret is part of our local lexicon and her name was used regularly in relation to a spoilt, arrogant person 😂

BUT...all that has genuinely changed. People in my age group do not even know who Andrew, Anne and Edward are and they only know Charles because of Diana honestly.

The reasons are threefold -

  1. Younger people simply do not believe in venerating and idolising people simply by virtue of birth. Meritocracy may be flawed but it is defensible.
  1. There's an Eat the Rich mentality and it's pervasive in millennials and Gen Z. People expect accountability, transparency and social responsibility...pretty much the antithesis of everything the royals stand for.
  2. In the commonwealth, there's growing anti-colonialism sentiment. The BRF are the epitome of the empire ideology and they are completely unrelatable to us in ways the British cannot understand. The country I was born and live in and the one my ancestors came from were both colonised and I think there is a rejection of all things reminiscent of Empire. Meghan would have been so good for the family image as she actually looks somewhat like the varied peoples the RF once ruled over and many people here found her easier to relate to, but alas...

Edited

The Telegraph reports that’s F has stayed there previously and has appeared in a promotional
video with the founder…

And also in the DT, that Andrew may have used RAF jets to meet Epstein.

This is an absolute torrent.

And the fairy dust surrounding the young QE2 and her coronation has long since disappeared.

My family (the older ones who are still interested in the RF) don’t like Meghan either as they see her as a chancer and sponger - point being that that the ‘magic’ that surrounded the RF was over a long time ago.

That chap in the health clinic where Sarah was holed up no doubt thought she would still be good for business.

Edit: sorry didn’t mean to copy the whole post. The app is acting up for me rn.

Resprayingmyaferraris · 21/02/2026 21:18

Whose paying for fergies indulgent stay at the world most expensive clinic .
Horrid horrid woman.

I used to feel sorry for her being cut out of family events and families Xmas but now !!

I believe she’s having a special neck massage formulated just for her. A good rub down with Brasso.

As my granny would have said Sarah has more front than Blackpool. (Well I think she has over the last few years / decades ) . Honestly I think between she and Andrew the pigeons are coming home to roost, I don't have any sympathy for SF . I think she' milked her 2 year ? marriage for all it is worth . I don't know the truth about her and Epstein , but from what has been in the press it looks dodgy. I think she has questions to answer rather than hiding away. & I think she should.

NoDrums · 21/02/2026 21:42

The Telegraph has a good series of articles which highlight the unholy nexus between the UK govt and the RF, and parliament’s unappointed role as RF’s protector, even while knowing that AMW was involved with Epstein.
