She personally has ‘bullying’ allegations and high staff turnover as well as her blatant dishonesty. Yep. They ( or Harry) kept the titles and gave them to the kids. Harry said he wanted them to be able to choose to be working Royals, even though I thought we'd ditched the 'cousins on the payroll' business. Hes right in it, and theres no way back for him now. ( I susoect the onky way back anyway would have been without Meghan and they are still very much together)

I think he wanted his children to have titles because William’s children did. The RF should be serving and promoting the Commonwealth and for that they get the titles and a lifestyles we can only imagine. They are not there so spoilt non serving princes like Harry can claim them for his children to prove their link to royalty. It’s so self serving.

Well Meghan more or less said that in the OW interview when discussing Archie’s ( alleged) lack of title . She said she thought all the grandchildren would be treated the same .
She either didn’t understand or didn’t want to understand the rules.

Then Charles needs to change the rules. He hasn't. It remains to be seen if William will do it, because he will have to do it for his own grandchildren. The present system means that Charlotte's kids will not have titles unless she marries a titled man but Louis will, despite her being higher up in the LOS. The perfect time to change that would have been before the kids were born, so that only the heir has them, or preferably none of them have them until they are entitled to them. The titles are at present literally used 'so that spoilt and self entitled princes (and Princesses) can prove their link to Royalty'. Its up to the Royals to change that-if they want to.

All the grandchildren are treated the same though (unless you are the child of a daughter) The rules were changed for the Wales kids because they were all great grandchildren of the Monarch at the time and werent entitled to the Prince/Princess. She (and probably more likely Harry) were complaining because there were rumours that Charles was only going to allow children of the heir to be titled once they were grandchildren of the Monarch.

I agree. But Harry is the one who knew this. He should have corrected or explained it to her. My suspicion is that he wasnt happy about it so let her believe it so she could do his dirty work for him and complain about it. Charles should have stuck to his guns. There is no need to have so many Princes and Princesses running around the place. Just get rid. I think we should have a Spanish style system where only the heir has a Princess ( equivalent) title and the rest are Lord/Lady etc.

please a sulky son and his wife who think they are at the same level in hierarchy as William and Kate. The monarchy will have to slim down and that will affect them but that’s tough. Royals with titles are there to serve the Commonwealth not to serve themselves and really it’s pointless for Harry’s children to have titles just like Anne’s children as they will not be a serving Royal. And to add to this the York girls should definitely lose their titles.

No what I said is that people like Bea and Eugenie prance about with Princess titles, and there are 2 American kids with Prince/ Princess titles because of the rules. The rules say they can do exactly what you are complaining about. If Charles doesnt want that to happen then he should remove the right to titles from all the hangers on. He was going to do it, its obviously causing problems so why hadnt he done it?

I agree, and going forward only Georges children should have titles. The Queen should have done it before either William or Harry married or had children. She must have known that Charles wanted to do it. Hed been talking about it for so long it would have been much easier all round but as we've seen when given the choice of doing something or putting it off and hoping it would go away, she would choose the latter. Hopefully Charles uses this episode to cut the titles off, and slash the operation and costs down too.

@LidlAmaretto I think they ended up not doing it because of the racism accusations Harry and Meghan were making at the time, so they put it on hold, also there was a lot of sympathy for them 6 years ago.

Now that Harry has confirmed there was no racism and at the same time Harry taking the UK government to court to try to screw the British taxpayer out of millions to cover his families personal security, their general unpopularity means those roadblocks of racism allegations and sympathy have been eroded. The landscape is very different now.

There is no way, with the current scandal, the RF can continue as is, , they have to make organizational changes and relook at their whole structure now, it is going to be extremely problematic for the RF if the York sisters continue to be Princess’s as non working royals, same as for the Sussex’s. It will happen, hopefully sooner rather than later.
